From the cottage, a quick five-minute walk will take you to Drake Park and all of the downtown restaurants, shops and galleries. We are one block off of Newport Street at the corner of 12th. Just walk 5-6 blocks and then cross the walking bridge over Mirror Pond (Deschutes River) to bring you into downtown Bend.
Just across the way from our place, you will find the Newport Market (wonderfully gourmet) and several restaurants and coffee shops including: Nancy P's Bakery, Back Porch Coffee, Kanpai (sushi), Chow and Kebaba's - without even walking downtown! Also, find great sources for equipment and gear rental (e.g. bikes and skis), movie rentals and shops.
