Experience country living near the historic town of Templeton, exactly half way between Los Angeles and San Francisco. The ranch consists of 300 private acres of oak covered rolling hills - which guests can use for long hikes and relaxed picnics. The house has a patio which is perfect for barbeques and star gazing. Activities might include wine tasting at nearby world class wineries, bicycling, visiting a local farmer's market, or a drive to the coastal towns of Cambria or Morro Bay, about 40 miles away. Activities such as kayaking and horseback riding can be arranged through local companies.
The Central Coast wine country offers activities year round. Summer brings outdoor concerts, the mid-state fair, and farmer's markets full of local produce. The hills turn gold. Grape harvest marks the fall when local wineries buzz with activity. Winter rains make for cozy weekends. In spring the hills turn green and the wildflowers are fantastic.
Whenever you decide to come, we will help make your stay one to remember!

We had the best time. The house is surrounded by a naturally beautiful setting of trees, hills, and grassland, and was very comforatble and clean. Loved having a full kitchen and plenty of space to hang out. Great hiking and horseback riding nearby, and so close to some of the best wineries! Loved Victor Hugo. And one of us especailly liked conversing with the wild turkeys roaming the land! We can hardly wait to come back. Thanks.

My boyfriend and I recently rented the house and had an amazing time! It was incredibly clean and spacious. The property is beautiful and there was nothing like waking up in the morning and seeing horses in the backyard. It was stunning! Also, if you're in the mood to check out some wineries, you don't need to go to Paso Robles as there are some fantastic ones right down the street. It's the perfect place for a relaxing getaway!

We visited Templeton in May. The house was great, it was spacious, well kept and had everything we needed for our stay. The house was centrally located, a quick drive to Paso Robles and the coast. We felt so at home here and have recommended this location to many of our friends and family! I encourage you to stay here and take advantage of the view, location and wonderful home. Highly recommend.

This house has the most tranquil setting! We just had our second girls night away here and it only gets better. Sitting outside on the patio is always a treat becaue it is so relaxing and QUIET. We can hike nearby or jump in the car for a quick jaunt into Templeton, Paso Robles and the numerous wineries. We love this spot and we will be back again soon.

My husband and I met up with friends from the Bay Area at the house last weekend. The house is perfectly located between Los Angeles and SF/Oakland. The grounds of the house are fantastic - we loved walking in the fields and land around the house. We saw horses, wild turkeys, rabbits, and some amazing birds. The house was comfortable with two nice living areas. The bedrooms were comfortable and it was great to have 2 bathrooms for 6 people. The kitchen needs a few more supplies but the owner has said they are adding more. If you need something not totally common, ask before you arrive so you know if you need to bring it. The hosts were wonderful about accommodating our last minute trip and our late arrival. They even brought over firewood so we could have a campfire! The town of Templeton has an excellent farmer's market on Saturday. While the house feels remote and you've got the feeling of privacy, Trader Joe's was less than 4 miles away as well as other conveniences you might need.

Thoroughly enjoyed our girls weekend at this residence! Close to freeway and local farms and vendors. (I would highly recommend the fresh goat cheese and goat's milk lotions at Happy Acres). Cute and quaint home with great hiking trails, if you desire. Plenty of room for multiple guests. Great space for cooking meals with fresh food from the local markets! Would definitely recommend if you want a weekend getaway in the countryside!
