Went up for a weekend (from Phoenix) and have "raved" about this place to friends. This cabin retreat is furnished perfectly and the view is one of the best I've seen. The main floor is the living room, kitchen and bathroom and the upstairs is 1 bedroom and loft. Spend your evenings out on the deck with the most unbelievable views across the valley. If you are a hiker, the entrance to Thumb Butte is a short distance. The owners were wonderful and more than accommodating. There isn't anything missing from this great place. Looking forward to returning - Thank you Scott and Melody!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, families with teenagers.

Our family of 3 had a great stay over the weekend. Cabin was very cozy & charming. Loved sitting out on the deck to enjoy the great views of Prescott. The cabin was off the busy road so our 2 yr old was able to run around safely. The owners were out of town but did keep in touch to make sure that we had everything we needed. This was a fabulous break from the heat. Loved it and hope to return again!Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

Nice place over-all. Description of location was accurate and proprty was easy to find. Photos gave a good idea of what to expect. The cabin was generaly clean and reasonably well-maintained, although the stove was missing a burner knob. Lighting in the living room was dim at night. Towels were good quality and more than adequate--however, there was only one hand towel and only one washcloth!! There were plenty of pillows, but NO extra pillowcases. It would be very helpful to renters if there were a sheet of information--such as where to empty trash, where to locate the wifi code, what to do before leaving, etc.--the owner was helpful at check-in, but general questions FAQs could be answered with a simple sheet, esp since the owner was not around for the rest of our stay:) We DID appreciate the secure wifi since some of us needed to do work away from home! Also the maps, brochures, phone book, etc. were helpful! And the shower was fabulous! We very well may stay there again, so all-in-all it was a good experience:)Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

If you are looking for a cozy mountain stay that is very close to Whiskey Row... this is the place. Our hosts had everything you could possibly need or want to make our stay perfect. The grounds and views were spectacular. With Thumb Butte to your right, and a forest to your left, and a big valley night sky in front... nothing else is needed. The cabin has been updated with all the modern kitchen and bath essentials. The bathroom is especially well appointed (done by the host, himself). So... go drinking, antique-ing, hiking, or relaxing all from the same beautiful property. Ps. Enjoy the critters on site as well. Don't forget to see how "Butterscotch" the chicken is doing !Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+.

The setting is beautiful and the cottage is very nice with very steep and narrow stairs. We were there in July and window air conditioning was not adequate. Was more than 5 min to downtownRecommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

Our family of 4 had a wonderful Labor Day weekend in this cozy A frame. Everything you need is there. You have the comforts of home, but with cooler weather and a view. It is artistically decorated by the owners. They are very friendly and helpful if you have questions about the area. We loved doing the short walk to Thumb Butte and hiking the mountain each morning. Downtown was an easy drive. We enjoyed the holiday craft festival in the town square.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

This place is very comfortable and close to hiking and biking. My husband and I enjoyed sitting on the porch evenings looking up at Thumb Butte, watching the twinkling city lights and stars. The WiFi was very fast and the AC was useful during warm summer afternoons. The place is nicely decorated and very private. The owners are very helpful and generous. Highly recommend!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

I stayed here with my 3 children (18, 14 and 14) while in town for my eldest daughter's graduation. The cabin had everything we could have wanted and more. The kitchen and bathroom are well appointed and there were a lot of thoughtful touches, like salt and pepper, corkscrew, teas, extra bedding...and a good amount of flexibility for sleeping arrangements. Outside they've provided a grill and nice seating. You really feel very at home here and the views are awesome!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Highly recommended!! Lovely cabin with gorgeous views of the valley. What a treat to have breakfast on the patio with the birds chirping in the trees nearby. Friendly owners (Scott & Melody) have done a great job decorating this gem. Well equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and a great shower. We stayed for 3 days and wish we'd planned to stay longer. Thanks Scott & Melody!Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.
