Our BRAND NEW LOG CABIN CHALET is truly a private mountain getaway, located 10 minutes from the friendly town of Burnsville, North Carolina in Yancey County. Our 3 bedroom and 3 bathroom cabin with 2400 square feet has all the comforts of home. Your family or small group (sleeps 8) will find our log cabin to be the perfect getaway from the stresses of daily life, while enjoying nature at its very best.
Relax in the secluded hot tub on the main deck and enjoying the sounds of nature, sweet mountain air and beautiful long range mountain views. The cabin has a private campfire site, with well stocked dry firewood so you are able to enjoy roasting marshmallows and making s'mores. Plenty of hiking trails in the area as well.
This three-floor log cabin is extremely secluded and has wrap around decks. Interior walls are finished with tongue and groove native Knotty Pine, and equipped with a gas log fireplace, ceiling fans, and central air conditioning and heat for your comfort. There’s also a large laundry room with a washer and dryer for your convenience.
Upon entering our cabin on the second floor, you will find yourself in the family room. Get ready to snuggle up on the leather sofas with recliners in front of the gas log fireplace. The family room has a 42” High Definition Television, Direct TV, and a DVD/CD player with a variety of DVDs. This entire second level has solid oak hardwood floors, with two beautiful queen bedrooms sets(one with a 27” TV) and a large full bathroom. There’s also a battery-operated queen airbed. All beds have high cotton thread count sheets and cotton towels provided.
The kitchen has beautiful oak cabinets and all new modern stainless steel appliances, including an electric glass top stove, microwave, toaster over, coffee maker, and dishwasher. All cookware, dinnerware, and utensils are provided. There is a gas barbecue grill on the deck. Also on the deck are 4 rocking chairs and a hot tub to soak up all the scenery.
The ground floor, or the basement as it’s called, is finished with beautiful laminate wood floors. We have a game room with a NEW 8 FOOT SLATE POOL TABLE, 37” FLAT PANEL HD TV and wet bar with fridge. Down the hall is another game room with board games, a poker card table, leather reclining couch and two recliner chairs with a 36” TV and DVD player. There’s also a Ping-Pong table in the garage. Wow! What a fun cabin for just relaxing or those bad weather days.
The 400 square foot loft on the third floor has a beautiful cherry wood king size bedroom set with a thick comfortable mattress and your own private full bathroom. There are also two swivel recliners for reading, viewing another 36” TV with DVD/CD player, or looking outside the huge loft windows. The loft is truly a getaway within a getaway.
Our Cabin is ideally located within an hour’s drive of ski resorts, white water rafting, horseback riding, hot springs and all major attractions in the North Carolina Blue Ridge Mountains, including The Blue Ridge Parkway 30 minutes away. The Biltmore Estate is 40 minutes away and Asheville is 30 minutes away. Blowing Rock, Boone, Grandfather Mountain and Banner Elk are about an hour away. The Mount Mitchell Golf and Country Club is 30 minutes away, voted top 10 in North Carolina and rated 4½ stars by Golf Digest, as is the Blue Ridge Parkway on the way to Mount Mitchell State Park, which is the highest elevation East of the Mississippi River, 6684 feet. In fact, Yancy County has the 18 tallest peaks east of the Rocky Mountains. Skiing at Wolf Laurel is also 30 minutes away. Whitewater Rafting in Hot Springs is only 40 minutes away. We have a binder of information with brochures of places to go and things to see.
Discover the nearby towns overflowing with local crafts, Southern hospitality and rich history, along with the Penland School of Art. Yancey County is filled with more artists per capita than any other location in the nation. Galleries and numerous private studios are abundant.
If you are expecting a larger group or family reunion, two other similar cabins are nearby. They are about a four minute drive. All three cabins can sleep 24 to 28 people. Added discounts if renting 2 or 3 cabins at a time.

Weekend special $450/weekend .. Friday AM to Sunday 2:00 PM.
Nightly rate are 2 night minimum. $95 Cleaning fee required.
Payment in full is due at reservation for booking weekend or 2-3 nights.
Payments for longer stays require 50% deposit at reservation balance
due 30 days prior to arrival date. Security deposit required.
Cancellations must be 30 days notice to gain full refund.
