Casa Celestial was built honoring local architecture, with 21st century green technology to provide minimal impact on the natural environment. From the beach enjoy a one minute stoll via a white sand path through tropical flora and fauna along the banks of an inter-tidal lake to the front steps. Setting the cottage back from the beach insures privacy while taking advantage of the ocean/beach views and breezes from the surrounding palms and hardwood trees that are frequented by large green parrots. Local purple heart wood floors and counter tops set the tone for the colorful living, dining and kitchen areas. Reminiscent of Hemingway's Key West cottage, the three bedrooms(2 queen beds, 1 twin bunk beds)and two baths comfortably accommodate a group of 6. The covered lanai provides additional dining and relaxing while hammocks invite you to escape to the ground level BBQ area. Green technology supports the cottage via solar power for electricity(please leave your blow dryers, electronics, etc. at home), gas for cooking and water heating, water catchment system, and self-contained waste system. The entire cottage is screened to take advantage of the tropical breezes and views with ceiling fans throughout providing additional cooling. The tranquil setting allows the stress of today's hustle and bustle lifestyle to melt away into the beautiful sunsets, uninterruted by telephone and internet.

Beautiful and Relaxing

Guest: Kate (San Diego, CA)
Date of Stay: 01/17/12 Review Submitted: 02/05/12

We had an excellent time during our stay in January. The house is absolutely beautiful and the beach and water are breathtaking. It has a very remote feel but you are always just a short 30 min boat ride from Bocas Town. Mike, the manager, was awesome, helpful and just all around phenomenal! Ask him to take you to the "secret pizza spot." I would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to get away from the hustle and bustle of Bocas Town but still enjoy the crystal clear waters and fabulous atmosphere of Boas Del Toro.

Great time on Island

Guest: PeaceCorpPanama (Cincinnati, Ohio, USA)

Wonderful house to stay in! Our group of 4 enjoyed the beautiful, well maintained grounds and beach. Recommend visiting the Salt Creek village, for a guided jungle walk, where we saw monkeys and a sloth. The newly constructed "beach bar" gave us the opportunity to meet other families staying on the island. The island has it all! Thanks to Michael and Christine, they took great care of us, even sharing some milk that we forgot to bring--great neighbors! Would love to stay again!

Owner response:Truly a dream destination for relaxing and enjoying a tropical adventure as featured in the January 2011 issue of International Living Magazine. You will not be disappointed!
