The kitchen is fully equipped for the most exacting gourmet cook. Clean and comfortable bedding, 2 double beds and 2 twin beds. Only 10 minutes to Downtown for shopping, restaurants, 20 minutes to Camden, Boothbay, enjoy a day trip to Acadia or take the ferry to one of the islands. Your own private dock and a secluded sitting area at the waters edge for sun bathing and enjoying sunsets in the evening. We supply a canoe for your use to explore or fish our pristine 11 mile long Damariscotta Lake.

Great cottage on a beautiful lake. We had a super time here. Sure is a beautiful setting with a nice relaxing atmosphere. I look forward to booking the cottage again. The family is looking forward to our next trip up there. My wife loved the cleanliness of the place. Thanks for renting it to us. The Howe Family.

Where do I begin... The cabin was old, not clean and the mice were gross. But my biggest complaint as that this cabin is not lakefront. There is a narrow ROW on the side of the owners property that takes you passed their other cabin. This is after you cross the dirt road. The listing for this cabin is deceptive.
Owner response:We’re sorry that our cabin did not meet your expectations however I do take exception to your misleading remark that “the listing for this cabin is deceptive.” The ad clearly states that the cabin is surrounded by acres of woods with a water view and is approximately 300 feet down a path to the dock and sitting area which is for the exclusive use for our cottage guests. Our cottage is a typical rustic Maine cottage (as shown by the pictures on VRBO) with many updates such as a washer, dryer, dishwasher, etc. etc. A professional cleaning service does a thorough cleaning after every rental. We are nestled in the woods with many of nature’s creatures and occasionally we may have an unwanted visitor which does not mean that the cottage is unkept or unclean. You were able to reach me immediately and I had our cleaning crew there within two hours to deal with your “one unwanted house guest.” In our 20+ years of renting we’ve had families return year after year. We’ve had family reunions there because we are able to offer two houses for rent (VRBO # 178727 and # 350256) we have even hosted two weddings at our property. We do our best to ensure that our properties are clean, comfortable and that you are safe on the water. We want everyone to enjoy their time with us, no matter how hard you try, you just can’t keep everyone happy all of the time.

we enjoyed a quite week. the location is very private, the fishing was excellent! My son caught his first fish, he was so excited. We were very pleased to find that this location was so close to the ocean.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, pet owners, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
