  I spent two weeks in this rental unit and enjoyed it very much. What a view!!!!! There was a review that was soooo wrong...there was no mold or leaks. I will definetley be coming back for another stay. It was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend this for anyone vacationing in this area.

  Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, age 55+.

• Breathtaking!

  I visited on the Thanksgiving holiday, and it was a terrific stay! No, its not the Four Seasons, but the view is spectacular, the beach access is easy and quick, and everything was very clean when we arrived. For the price, this place is a monumental deal!

  the unit has no widows in the main bedroom which was so moldy smelling we had to sleep in living rm on futon w/ door&small port window open for fresh air. place has only three small windows that open and not one with a screen.slider door has no screen either. all appliances, pots,pans and pretty much everything eles was very out dated. fridge was not even pugged in. old&dirty carpeting even in the bathroom area. wood paneling through out the house shows signs of water damage. many of the mix match drop ceiling tiles also have new and old water damage.There was a large pan on floor to catch water as it falls.Very narrow stairs leading down and large row of trash cans also made it hard to get into unit. only paper product provided was the toilet paper.Wished I had brought an air mattress and stayed in the car instead and saved myself allergy problems. I let the owner know about problems but she didn't offer to refund anything, saying she hadn't noticed them. We really like the location and view but would never stay there again.Looking around area we saw alot of nice rentals and we will try one of those next time.

  Owner response: This unit overlooks the ocean and winter storms are inclined to make units smell moldy and damp.I just had a new roof installed and they somehow left it with a leak and are trying to fix it, The lady in question with the complaint was told before she rented about the leak and was ok with that. As far as I know there is no mold in the unit.I am sorry she was unhappy with the unit,but in twenty five years of renting I have never had a complaint of this magnatude.Its possible she was unhappy because I would not allow her pet.

  My boyfriend and I had the opportunity to stay in this wonderful A Frame in Oceanside. It was the perfect ocean getaway. The top Unit (A) is just marvelous. The view is incredible, the cabin is clean and cozy, and you can hear the oceans gentle roll from the loft bedroom. We cooked a couple meals and the kitchen was adequately stocked. We relaxed by the fire, firewood was easily provided if you needed (by leaving $5 in a basket for the owner). It was so peaceful. Oceanside is a great place to visit. The beach is gorgeous, and the rock formations are great too. There is also a long tunnel through the hillside down at the beach, which was a fun (and kind of scary!) adventure. Note: I would only do the tunnel walk at LOW tide. Overall, we had such a good time, we didn't want to leave! We will definitely be coming back to Oceanside and with a great rental like this, there is no need to stay at a pricey hotel. Thank you Donna!

  We stayed in the upper unit last summer. It's small but charming. The views are great. If you don't mind being cozy this place is a great place to stay. The basics that you need are there, kitchen, table, beds, couch, chair, bathroom. If you like a relaxed atmosphere, a great view, easy access to the beach, a great coffee shop, are on a budget, and don't mind coziness, this place is for you. If you like upscale or are high maintenance don't go here. We absolutely had a blast with simple living. Great place to read, relax, and write. We shared the place with some good friends and had a great time cooking together, playing games, exploring the beach, and reading. For the price and the opportunity to stay at the beach with a great view we couldn't have been happier. We enjoyed the raccoons that would visit. We'll be going back.
