Paris, the most romantic city in the world, and Montmartre, a village within this fabulous city. This is the location of our apartment, right at the foot of the steps leading up to Sacre Coeur. Located on a quiet street yet within minutes walk of the hustle and bustle, restaurants ,cafes, specialist shops, food markets with fresh daily produce, street theatre and of course the artists who are synonymous with this area, and who still walk the streets hoping to catch your eye and grant them the privilege of doing your portrait. There are incredible views of the rest of the city from Sacre Coeur. The area is so lively and colourful, you could spend a week here and not bother to leave. However, of course the rest of Paris beckons, and 3 local metro stations or a bus ride will get you to all the famous tourist attractions in 15 to 20 minutes.
Local attractions include : The Moulin Rouge, Salvador Dali museum, a vineyard (the only one in Paris),Sacre Coeur, dozens of quality restaurants, winding cobbled streets with quirky specialty shops and wonderful food markets. The area is famous for it's artistic pedigree and many of the local brasseries and buildings pay testament to former diners or lodgers such as Van Gogh, Lautrec, Cezanne, Monet etc.
The apartment is 30 metres squared and is renovated with solid oak flooring, all new quality furnishings and new quality linen. It is most suitable for a couple but will accommadate 4 people if the sofa bed in living room is used. Heating is by electric radiators. It has seperate sit- in kitchen which opens into living room which in turn opens into seperate double bedroom. Toilet/shower room opens off living room. All furniture in living room is high quality and brand new. Kitchen is recently renovated with new oven/microwave and new washer /drier.
All necessary equipment etc is provided to make your stay as comfortable and relaxing as possible. The building is very secure with main entrance by key and or digital code. The apartment building is situated on a quiet street which opens onto a pretty square off which is the entrance to Sacre Coeur park and the steps leading up to Sacre Coeur. There are at least 5 restaurants on this square and you will sit here of an evening and watch the world go by.
This is your chance to experience life the way the Parisians do and is a sensible and economic alternative to 3/4 star hotel accommodation.
We use the apartment as often as we can ourselves. It is a labour love for us. We trust that if you rent it that you will treat it with care, and we hope that you will fall in love with Paris the way we have done. |
