My wife, son, daughter, my daughter's boyfriend and I spent the first week of May at this lovely seaside home and, even though the weather was not great, we all had a wonderful time. Certainly our choice of accommodation played a major role in having a fun and relaxing vacation. We were originally considering staying at a hotel in Boston but are very pleased that we checked out VRBO and found this property instead. The pictures posted on the internet attracted us to renting the property but they don't completely convey the real charm of Nancy's home. It really is idyllic. Nancy's home is extremely comfortable, immaculate, beautifully decorated and has the ocean in the backyard! We all found it to be such a relaxing place to return to after visiting Boston during the day (only a 20 minute ferry ride away). Nanatasket is a lovely oceanfront community and I'm sure it would be even more fun to visit in the summer. We were able to get out to two excellent Nanatasket restaurants - Jakes Seafood and Saporito's Florence Club Cafe. Also we would recommend the takeout pizza from Riva Pizza (thin crust with lots of great ingredients to choose from). We would highly recommend staying at Nancy's lovely home to anyone considering a visit to the Boston area. You will not be disappointed.

This little cottage is simply delightful and I wish I was back there right now! Open the front door to a light, bright and airy space surrounded by the sea from every window... it is just amazing. The house is cozy when its cool and cool when its hot. The back porch is just about as good as it gets for relaxing, unwinding and recharging. Every space is immaculately clean, the beds are super-comfy, the kitchen is wonderfully equipped and the house is decorated beautifully throughout. Then there are all the little inspirational touches which just help you relax and get life in perspective. We quite simply loved every day we were there and took away cherished memories that will last a lifetime. We drove to Hingham a few days (which is about 15mins away) and took the commuter boat into Boston which was just lovely as then we didn't have to think about driving and parking etc. The boat goes into Boston harbour which means you are immediately downtown and everything is within walking distance - right beside Quincy market. Also we went to the lovely Nantasket beach and explored the surronding area which has some lovely little villages - really New England at its best. BUT nothing beat that after dinner glass of wine on that fabulous back porch! Loved it all and want to go back - don't miss it! Thank you Nancy
Owner response:Hi Esther: Thank you so much for the lovely compliments and I am so glad that you enjoyed your stay. It was so nice to meet you and your family as I don't often get the chance to meet my tenants. I would love to someday take you up on your offer if I ever get to the Ireland shores! Most sincerely, Nancy Merritt

Absolutely perfect site for our stay. Only wished we could have been there 2 weeks instead of one. Owner is very accommodating and we found it a pleasure to work with Nancy. It was very easy to feel "at home" in this cottage. Loved the full moon on the water--oh the views are awesome! Noticed the calendar is FULL--others have found this gem too!

The property is described accurately. In fact I would say the pictures are great but the actually property is even better. The house is appropriately named (Serendipity). There are amazing views from all rooms in the house. The house was neat and very clean. It is well equipped with great appliances. The bed was comfortable and the master bed room has great views of world's end and the water. The sun rise and sunset views are spectacular. The owner is very responsive. When I called her I did not get a recording she actually answered the phone everytime and was very helpful. The area is surrounded by very neat and well maintained homes. Many of the homes have been recently upgraded and many of the properties are very beautiful. The area has lots of activities to entertain. Restaurants in the area are very good in near by town of Hingham there are some 5 star restaurants. Hull also has some great restaurants. I will definately rent this property again.

My husband and I were fortunate to enjoy Nancy's "beautiful" home for four weeks in May 2011. We found it to be JUST as she described and everything we could have hoped for....The surrounding area was lovely and we had the chance to explore all of the awsome "nooks and crannies" along Cape Cod from one end to the other. We had some friends visit from New York who also found the cottage to be "enchanted". We found both the neighbors as well as the people from the community to be helpful and very nice. Restaurants were fabulous..especially the local ones along the beach. Nancy could not have been a more congenial hostess and very helpful to us during our stay. Her "lovely" home is certainly a testament to both her "eye" for decor and a very personal and welcoming personality which were evident throughout the home. Awakening to the water each and every morning was something we looked forward to and we especially enjoyed our early morning coffee on the back porch overlooking the water....It was SO peaceful and serene...We hope to return and enjoy her beautiful little "corner" of the Boston area once again and again............

A gorgeous, clean and comfortable home right on the water. This house has everything you need . It would be perfect for anyone, whether it is a couples retreat or a small family wanting to enjoy time beach time. Hull's proximity to Boston and Cape Cod allows you to explore the coast without having to travel far. We greatly enjoyed our time there and hope to return,
Owner response:Thanks so much Rosemary and looking forward to your perhaps returning someday. Do call me if you ever get to Fountain Hills/Scottsdale Arizona!

This cottage really was enchanted, and we enjoyed the accomodations very much considering the weather happened to be pretty lousy while we were there. We just happened to have reservations the week a rainy system decided to park in the area for what seemed like forever! I still regret that I did not get to sit on the back porch, reading, napping, and watching the boats go by nearly as much as I had anticipated. We really wished for an extra week to stay. It was consoling that the inside of the cottage was lovely and cozy and a great place to relax too. Nancy, the owner, was very hospitable by suggesting places to eat and visit in the area. If we ever get to the Boston area for vacation again, I sure would like a "do-over" with a better weather forecast!

We have traveled to many places trying to find a location where we could not only relax and unwind, but where we would actually want to return. Little did we know we would find it half an hour from home. We wouldn’t be surprised if we wound up moving to Sunset Point in Hull. It was just fantastic.

This cottage is indeed "Enchanted"! There is everything one could want in a vacation home away from home. The home includes a beautiful modern kitchen, confortable bedrooms,a home office with internet access, lovely living room and dining room with full bay views and a porch facing the water where one can spend hours reading or watching the events on the bay. This is a place I hope to revisit again and again. With easy access to Boston, the beach and lots of other lovely towns, one can never be bored. This owner has done a fantastic job at making her home a home for all of us. Don't miss it!!

By far, the most beautiful place I've ever stayed. We were amazed that every little detail was so perfect and the cottage was the best part of our trip! We were mesmerized by the views and could have sat on the porch forever. Thank you for the experience.

My family loved staying in this enchanting cottage by the sea! The water views were magnificent especially the ones from the master bedroom. To wake up and see all the sailboats on the water was terrific. The interior of this cottage could be featured in a magazine! It is so bright and inviting, and it had everything we needed If you are planning to visit Hull, this is the place to stay!

We spent the month of July at this cottage on the sea. This is the owner’s home and is not your typical rental property. The home is fully furnished and looks like a photo shoot from Better Home and Gardens. We woke up each morning to the sound of water lapping the shore. We were able to launch our kayaks right off the dock into the bay. The gourmet kitchen was fully equipped. Nantasket beach is about a 20 minute walk. We had such a great time we are renting again next summer. You will love this rental! Highly recommended!!

Our stay in Nancy's cottage by the sea was such a treat. The cottage decor is straight out of the Coastal Living magazine...lovely, inviting and bright. She has the home equiped with everything you could possibly need. There are water views from every window. The accomodations were 5 star!!!! We cannot wait for our next visit.
