"Wow" is the first thing people say as they take in the view on their first visit to CARSON'S RUN. Equally remarkable is the historic town Dahlonega itself, with its quintessential courthouse square.
Great restaurants, live theater, antiquing and panning for gold are just a few of the things to do while you're here. Then there are the wineries, the waterfalls, truly amazing twisties, rafting,.....
Our home, about 7 miles north of town, is perched on the side of Cedar Mountain and commands an unobstructed view of Yonah Mountain and the Appalachian foothills. Dawn presents an awesome scene as the mist clears from the tumbling landscape.
The house is a flexible combination of three suites, each with it's own stunning view and separate entrance. A very unique home that can accommodate two people on a weekend escape, up to a group of twelve in for a wedding party or family reunion.
You can select the suite that fits your unique style. Need something smaller? Call us for details on renting just what you need for number of people in your party. Each suite can be rented on its own.
The Phoenix Suite has a large sultry Master Bedroom outfitted with a king size brass bed. There is a sitting area and desk in the suite for times when a little peace and quiet is just what you need. A second bedroom has a queen bed. The Gathering Room features a sitting area in front of a fieldstone fireplace on one side, perfect for curling up with a great book.
On game day, or movie night, the other end with it's 46" Wide screen, is the place to be. The sofa is a queen size pull-out for additional guests. The Phoenix Suite sleeps up to six. This unit has a fully outfitted kitchen with a separate dining room. Two rocking chairs and a daybed provide napping options on the screened porch. You can serve dinner right from the grill and watch the sunset as you pass the cole slaw.
The Fireside Suite conveniently adjoins the Phoenix on the same level. This small romantic suite for two has a queen size iron bed in front of a gas fireplace. There is a screened porch for morning coffee you have prepared in a very neat mini-kitchen. (This unit can be rented individually.)
On the lower level, the Mystic Suite adds a queen bed as well as a queen pull-out sleep sofa in the sitting area. This suite has a country modern feel with an eclectic combination of antiques and collected pieces. A fully equipped kitchen comes outfitted right down to the salt, pepper, sugar and Splenda. A wide porch wraps around the Mystic Suite, where the 6 person hot tub bubbles away. (This suite can also be rented on its own.)
Our house has everything you need to hideaway for a week or maybe longer.... Don't forget the groceries!
