Lovely Apartment

This apartment was much bigger than I had anticipated, which was lovely! Everything was very clean and straightforward. It was easy to check in, and the tour around the apartment was helpful. The kitchen was fully stocked with all necessary cooking tools, and it even comes with a dishwasher!! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice apartment away from the noise of the city, but within two blocks of a subway stop.

I agree with all the other positive comments left by other renters. The neighborhood is active yet offers a real oasis from the more busy Prague city life. It is very close to the subway which makes it convenient to get to almost anywhere within the city limits. Tad was wonderful at communications, setting up the arrival with the apartment manager. We enjoyed are stay very much. Lots of local small groceries and as mentioned, the farmers market is great. Our daughter had studied in Prague so she was a great guide, helping us use the metro system as we had no car for the 7 plus days we were in the city. The information at the apartment was a little dated, so just plan on checking things out yourself! Learn to say "dobrý den" which is a formal way of greeting folks and "de qwe" for thank you - goes a long way to get help.

My wife and 20 year old daughter and I stayed a week and had a very good experience with the rental of Tad & Jana's flat. Tad was easy to communicate with and prompt in getting us our deposit back. The flat was roomy and comfortable, and it couldn't have been much easier to get around town from there. I particularly loved the local farmer's market that pops up in the nearby transit square on Saturdays- great sausages if you fry them up with fresh peppers and onions! Lots of local restaurants if you don't want to cook. If you want to stay in a Four Seasons Resort, this may not be for you; for my family at least, it was a wonderful flat.

We rented this apartment for 15 days in June and July. It is much more spacious than the pictures would suggest. We stayed there with our grown son and found it to be very comfortable for all. We will definitely want to stay there again if we return to Prague in the future. The neighborhood is very pleasant and convenient. Be sure to have breakfast at the French restaurant around the corner and dinner at Aromi a little over a block away. Consult the book prepared by the owners for other helpful suggestions about food and other aspects of your stay.

I won't repeat what others have said because this review would be too long. I agree with all the positives and don't think there are any negatives. I wrote a review after our stay (really long and detailed) but it got lost when I hit the send button so I will keep this short. Perfect, and one thing I particularly liked was that it was so easy to get in and out of (yet secure) You only had to go up one easy flight of stairs and the front door was not massive and complicated. The feeling and decor and spaciousness were wonderful and it was comfortably heated. Lovely and would go there again - in fact just about to book !!!

We had a wonderful time in Prague. Walked many many steps, were enchanted with all the sights, loved your flat and found it to be perfect for our stay there. It was spacious and most comfortable. The location, as it was close to the Metro, made it easy to get around Prague. Martina was wonderful, going to the flat twice to accomodate our varied arrivals. Having her husband meet us at the airport was the frosting on the cake. Of course! we want to return and will no doubt seek to stay in your flat once again. Thanks again, Maribeth

This was an incredible find...a beautiful apartment, close enough to everything, *but far enough away from tourist noise and hustle-bustle* to enjoy the city as if you were a local resident...and isn't that what you're seeking when you travel - to live like the local people do? And what a city to live in for a week - WOW! The apartment on Polska Street in Vinohrady was spacious, quiet, very clean, and very comfortable. Save yourself some room in your bag and don't bring your heavy tour guides of Prague - this apartment has a number of recent copies of the best publishers of travel information. The kitchen was amazing - everything was there to make toast or a meal for 8. The windows in the back of the apartment open onto a green park, where all buildings share a common yard area - and it was always quiet. The bed was most comfortable, and there were plenty of outlets for all of the electronic gear you might bring. Those of you who use a CPAP machine at night will find a convenient outlet next to the bed. Flawless and quick connection to the Internet via Wi-Fi! Be sure to check that all of your devices - electric toothbrush, shaver, etc. can handle 220-240. If not (the only device I brought was a German electric toothbrush with no European voltage capacity !?) fear not...the apartment has a plug-in transformer that will allow you to safely power up your devices that can only handle 110-120. The living room was most comfortable and spacious, with an extra bed for afternoon naps. I found the peace and serenity in this room very conducive for composing music on my harp. There is a CD and DVD player, and an easy way to connect your iPods to speakers. A corner store is a block down the street, and a larger supermarket is perhaps a 3-5 minute walk. The Prague Metro - the stop is Jiriho z Podebrad - is a 2 block walk away, and there is a large lovely quiet park one block away. As you can see, I can't say enough kind things about this place - I discovered it on the Web, just as you have now. And I highly recommend it. I was able to pay in USD, conveniently through PayPal and avoided transaction fees that other rental services may charge. And the hostess of the apartment, Martina, was great - very friendly, very punctual to meet you at the apartment for the key drop-off and pickup. Overall, a lovely place and very easy to rent and to get to via public transport from the airport. Rent it now! =]

My husband and I spent almost 2 weeks here at the end of March. The apartment is spacious, lovely and very quiet and we'd definitely return. There was just something wonderfully charming about it that made us feel so comfortable and at home. And the neighborhood is great, not touristy yet close enough to walk to the old city. There are great restaurants and bars nearby. Two blocks away is a wonderful park with 2 different beer gardens and great views downtown. There's also an indoor pool here and several blocks in the opposite direction is a tennis bubble. Saturday mornings there's a farmers market one block away.

I stayed in this fabulous apartment in November and returned to Prague and stayed again for 12 nights from January 13th until 25th. Once again i was so please i stayed here. Truly a home from home. In November it was not particular cold in Prague and on this trip i have to say by Prague standards in January most of my trip it was not that cold. However it did tun cold for the last few days even having some lovely snow, I say lovely because Prague is even more beautiful covered in snow! My point about when its cold is that the apartment is so warm even with the heating on just low.Once again every thing worked perfectly including the suoer fast internet access. Thanks again for a wonderful stay and i hope to come back soon

I have been to Prague many times before as I have friends there. In fact I go around 5 times a year and have stayed in six different apartments . Well at last I have found the apartment which would be my 1st choice every time now!! The location is excellent with the metro and the trams no more than 3 minutes walk away. However you can easily walk to Wenceslas Square and to the old town. There are also plenty of nice reasonable price places to eat excellent food. There is also a bakery and several shops where you can get supplies for the fridge freezer in the apartment. As for the apartment itself well it is so much bigger then it looks in the photos and it really is a place you could call home from home.Every thing is there as described . The wifi internet is a must for me and it was super fast!! Only one thing for me which I found a little frustrating is that the tv and dvd player is in the bedroom and not the lounge . This is a shame because it would have been nice to have watched tv and some movies in the lounge rather than sitting on the bed. So its 9/10 instead of what would have been 10/10 but i really would highly recommend this apartment. In fact i am staying there again in January, i love the winter in Prague especially if there is snow, it is so beautiful
