We have a large family and purchased this home to be welcoming to family gatherings. Within walking distance to *RMNP and the YMCA of the Rockies**, it has a great location and our frequent visitors include local wildlife. Sick of the traffic in and out of the park during the summer? Walk into the park and climb aboard the RMNP free shuttle bus to many great hikes and picnic locations! We are also within 2 miles of downtown and during the summer months you can hop on the Estes Park Shuttle for a stress free visit to the local shops and restaurants.
This is an open floor plan with 3 stories. The Main floor consists of a large kitchen with utensils, and a dining room table that seats 10. Just off the kitchen is the family room with two couches and gas fireplace and a picturesque view of Long’s Peak. Equipped with Wireless Internet service, a large, flat screen TV with Direct TV and DVD, this room provides the comforts of your own home.
This level also has the Master bedroom w/King Bed and spacious master bath with jetted tub, the utility room with half bath, washer/dryer, and access to the 600sf wrap around deck. On the deck is a propane grill and picnic table.
Upstairs are two bedrooms, one w/Queen and twin beds, the other with a Queen bed, and between the rooms a full bath.
The Bottom floor has large, community sleeping area with a double, twin and trundle beds and a full bath.
The main floors of the house rents for one price that can include up to 7 guests. For an additional fee the downstairs bedroom and bath are available and can sleep 5 more guests (High Season Only, See pricing structure).
**The house is located 1/2 mile from the YMCA, 2 miles from downtown, with 5 minute access to the Big Thompson River and 15 min walking distance to Moraine Park in RMNP.
*Rocky Mountain National Park has over 350 miles of hiking trails, with over half above tree line. Trail Ridge Road is the highest continuous paved road in the U.S. reaching 12,200 ft above sea level in its 20 mile stretch across the tundra.
Our neighborhood is quiet and a few hundred yards from the boundary to RMNP.
Hiking, fishing, biking, and wildlife abound.

Why the Owner Chose Estes Park
We find this to be the best location for families. We are within a half mile of the YMCA of the Rockies, with all its many activities for families both young and old. We are a few hundred yards from the Big Thompson river for avid fishermen. From the house there is a trail that leads you to Moraine Park in RMNP, about a 20 minute hike. Our neighborhood is wonderful with great neighbors and lots of wildlife that routinely crosses our yards. We are also 5 minutes from the park and 5 minutes to town by car.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Our home is open and roomy. Our kitchen table can seat 10 (and we have even squeezed 12) and is perfect for family get togethers. If you love to hike or fish, you can do so without the use of a car with the close by trails and rivers. Wildlife viewing is like no other place we have visited. From our deck we have seen elk, deer, turkeys, coyotes, and even bears and their cubs.
For days that may be cloudy, we have a HD flat screen TV with Dish Network and wireless internet access in the house (during season). We are more than happy to provide our knowledge of Estes Park and RMNP to our guests, just ask!
This 15-20 minute hike takes you into Moraine Park in Rocky Mountain National Park.
The YMCA of the Rockies is within walking distance. It is the largest YMCA in the world at over 8000 acres. It has many activities available for all visitors.
The Rocky Mountain National Park main enterance is within 5 minutes by car.

During that time we rented houses to stay in and shared our love of Estes with many other friends and family.
