This lovely country home is located in a private beach community of the beautiful Peconic Bay. The private bay beach is just down the block, approximately 500 feet from the house. Whether you are looking for a summer get away or planning a fall holiday on the North Fork, this is the perfect home for your family vacation.
This year round home has both heat and central air conditioning. The ensuite master bedroom has a king bed and the two additional bedrooms each have a queen bed. The living room has a sleep sofa. There are ceiling fans in all bedrooms as well as the kitchen and porch.
The outdoor shower, a summer treat, has hot water and is completely enclosed for privacy.
The large eat-in kitchen is equipped with all you will need to enjoy your vacation including a dishwasher, microwave, and small electric appliances such as a coffee pot and blender.
The living room has Cable TV and high-speed Internet. The enclosed porch has a lovely view of the spacious backyard with a huge old maple tree for shade.
In addition, the house comes equipped with a washer and dryer, gas barbeque, all linen even beach towels, beach chairs, and umbrellas.
Location, location!
Jamesport is the perfect jumping off location for so many activities. We are located in the heart of the Long Island wine country. If you are an antique lover, you will enjoy perusing the many unique shops as you explore further out on the island.
Greenport, the historic whaling port, is about a half hours drive. Within 15 minutes of the house is the Tanger Outlet Mall, the Aquarium, Splish Splash, movie theaters, Long Island’s famous farm stands, good restaurants, and golf courses that are open to the public such as Indian Island and Cherry Creek.
Jamesport is just 90 minutes from Manhattan via car and conveniently located near Long Island Railroad stations. The Jitney bus from Manhattan has a drop off in Jamesport. The Orient Point/New London Ferry is 40 minutes east and the Port Jefferson/Bridgeport Ferry is 45 minutes west.

Country charm with modern convenience

This house was perfect for our family. My 2 grown children ..with spouses and their own young ones.. met my husband and I for the week. We all had a private bedroom with plenty of room for porta cribs for the little ones. Hubby and I had an ensuite bathroom for those nocturnal visits. The kids shared the other full bath. Both baths were just remodeled and are gorgeous. The kitchen is large with table for at least 6. There was even a childs table and chairs which was a real asset. The kitchen is stocked with all you could possibly want.......plenty of cutlery, dishes and such.The porch has more seating. We didn't use it much because of the heat. We preferred the central air the house was equipped with...which was wonderful.The backyard with the shade trees was very nice.......with more relaxing chairs.The beach was easily walked to.........and the little ones we pulled in the wagons that were there......with beach toys as well.All in all.....the house exceeded our expectations......this is a very clean.....spacious....fully equipped and comfortable house. The owner is pleasant and easy to deal with. Very pleased and will definitely rent again when we plan another trip to Long Island. Joan and Bill
