Why the Owner Chose Spanish Trace
We are totally in love with St. Augustine. We first came here in 1993 with two other couples. We were going to the Daytona 500 and decided to stay in St. Augustine, away from the rat race.
The town just fit like a glove for our personalities. We have stayed here every winter, for at least part of it, ever since.
We decided to purchase our condo in 2008 because the timing was right. We have not regreted one minute of it. It is easy enough for us to hop in the car, drive 20 hours, and we are there.
Of course, once you hit town, you just feel like you are on vacation every minute of every day.
We are only 1 1/2 hours from Orlando, where you can get involved in all the theme parks, but yet close enough to drive home at night to the beautiful sound of the ocean.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We enjoy the golf courses around the area. There are plenty to choose from. Since we are right on the beach, it's easy enough to just take the beach down for a cup of coffee at a few different restaurants.
We have met the most fabulous people while we spend time here. The kids at Flagler College are some of the most friendly we have ever met, as well as those we have met on the golf course.
There is everything and nothing to do here. You can completely relax for the day at the condo and enjoy the sounds of the beach, or you can go downtown and find something you've never done before. There's always something happening, if you want to be part of it.

We couldn't have asked for a better beach front rental. The condo was spacious and included several games to entertain my four year old son when we weren't at the beach or pool. We enjoyed ocean views from the balcony each morning before playing at the beach and each evening before bed. The short walk to the beach was perfect for carrying tired children back for a nap! We also enjoyed playing shuffleboard and tennis on the property. Short drive to the old city to enjoy shopping. We will be sure to stay here again when visiting St. Augustine!

After a long Minnesota winter, this is just what we needed. Great condo with a beautiful beach and pool area. When we talked to locals and told them where we were staying, we were assured that we had made a wise choice. "One of the best on the beach!" Also great day trips into St. Augustine to experience some history lessons. A little shopping and eating some wonderful meals rounded out a fabulous trip. Hope to return and our first choice would be your unit. Thanks for the wonderful site to release winter blues.

Everything was perfect for our first Christmas away from home. The condo was clean and had everything we needed. The only thing missing from the kitchen is a timer, so bring your own if you plan to cook much. Perfect if you have kids since they have their own room and a TV as well. Check out A1A Aleworks and The Oasis for dinner. The Alligator Farm and Fort Matanzas are great day trips anytime of the year. If you need anything while you are there just ask Meg in the office. She is great! Loved having our Christmas dinner on the balcony looking at the ocean. Very nice while talking to family about the snow piling up at home. Thank you to the Zimmermans for sharing their wonderful getaway!

My husband and I had a great time and enjoyed our beach-side condo. The view of the ocean from the balcony and master bedroom is fabulous. The condo is spacious, well-furnished and the whole complex is meticulously maintained. We loved the convenience of the pool, as well as the very short walk to the beach. A great value!

My wife and two daughters spent a delightful week at the Zimmerman condo. A great view of the ocean from the balcony and only steps to the beach. Bedrooms were large and the kitchen and living room were well appointed. All very clean. A great value for the price. About 20 minutes to St. Augustine and about 2 hours to Disney. We plan to come back annually even though it is an 11 hour drive for us.

My husband and I stayed here in February. What a great way to relax and enjoy the ocean view. The terrace was a great place to sit at night and listen to the waves. You can see the ocean from every room in the condo. It looks like it's been recently renovated. It's very clean and very comfortable. We really liked how close it was to everything. Love downtown St. Augustine. Would recommend taking the trolley ride around town!!! We will definitely be coming back!!

The view from the balcony is what every vaction needs. Sun, sand and surf. It's all here right outside the door. We love the huge beach for walking endlessly and being able to drive on it, too. The pool area was restful. The two-floor style townhouse made it seem more like a home, with bedrooms upstairs. We did some cooking, but being so conveniently located we ate out at a different local restaurant almost every night. We even got to see the Space Shuttle launch from the front door/terrace. Gated and restricted on this quiet street is the perfect respite from the rat-race of everyday life. We will be back.

My brother and sister-in-law, my husband and I spent a week in the Zimmerman condo at Spanish Trace in November. We loved the place. The condo had plenty of room for the four of us, It has one of the prettiest views of the ocean from any spot in Florida. The beach was perfect for walking and finding shells and we walked for miles every day. It is really silly to watch the cars drive up and down the beach! We golfed at 3 different courses and enjoyed all of them. The location of Spanish Trace is great. We often walked into the shopping area where there were good restaurants, drug stores, groceries and an interesting pub or two. We loved visiting the city of St Augustine. The history is amazing with the city gates and all. We found our share of really great restaurants in the city. We have not spent much time in the northern part of FL but found it delightful. We will be sure to go back to Spanish Trace.
