  From the moment you see the front of the house to the pool area...you immediately know your in the Big Easy. We rented the entire house and will do it again next year. Each room has a neat theme! Hot tub was down (seasonal), but no need due to the HEAT. Pool made up for it......Thanks!

  Where do I start? The Lookout Inn was perfect for our group's weekend getaway. From the intial contact about booking, up until departure to come home, the experience was enjoyable, All four of the suites were nice, clean and unique. If you are only choosing one, I reccomend the Mission Suite. Our group got our money's worth from usage of the pool alone. It really hit the spot after a long hot day in the Quarter. I honestly cannot say enough about this fine establishment. There were even mutliple times where I was contacted just to make sure we were properly parked b/c vehicles were seen getting towed in the area. My group just got back and are already planning on organizing a trip back next year.

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers.

  This place was beyond my expectation! So charming, intimate, romantic...we loved it! My boyfriend & I stayed in the Mardi Gras suite, and it was amazing! Spacious little apartment, with it's own living room, bedroom & incredibly large bathroom with a clawfoot bathtub. The room was decorated with character and with a personal touch. The courtyard outside is amazing & beautifully gardened with a saltwater pool, little outdoor kitchen & lounging area. It was quiet and intimate, and had a beautiful character and ambiance of intimacy. We found some interesting little pubs and places to eat within walking distance. I'll never forget my stay here...and definitely plan to come back some day!

  Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  I came to visit friends and experience the real New Orleans outside of the tourist centers. Off the beaten track, The Lookout Inn was exactly what I was hoping for. Elizabeth's restaurant in walking distance was a gem! The pool at night was the perfect way to cool off. And the decor in the Bollywood suite was a kick. I am definitely staying here again, but I think I will try the Elvis suite next time. Oh, and when I accidentally left my hat, Chris was a sweetheart in finding and mailing it back to me!

  Recommended for: Girls getaway, adventure seekers, romantic getaway.

  We just spent two nights in the Mission Suite and our only disappointment is that we couldn't spend a week. (they were full) What a wonderful, relaxing spot! Absolutely delightful and just what we needed after a 13 hour drive and cancelled cruise. We'll definitely keep this space in mind when scheduling our next trip to New Orleans. It is away from the noise and traffic of the French Quarter but closeby (5 minutes) if you want to go there. We found the neighborhood cafes (Elizabeth's, The Joint, Bywater Cafe) to be refreshing, friendly, tasty and economical. LOVE the neighborhoods with all the great architecture and history. Our contact people were so kind and accomodating for our unexpected changes in our plans.

  Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, romantic getaway, age 55+.

  wonderfully cozy, comfy & private. the pool & hot tub are a great place to take a break after exploring all day.

  We rented all 4 suites in late February for a bachelor's party and everyone had a FANTASTIC time! The house is amazing, with tons of amenities that we did not even begin to enjoy (ran out of time!) I'd definitely recommend this to anyone and would've probably given the full 5 stars had we been able to fully take advantage of all the accommodations, being that it was too cold to use the pool that time of year. I will say, though, that the caretakers did make sure we had clean, hot water in the hot tub and I would recommend taking advantage of this if you should book this place while the weather does not permit swimming in the pool...
