We stayed at Kanaloa 3504 in beautiful Kailua-Kona. This is a beautifully renovated, very large one bedroom 2 bath condo overlooking a lovely bay. We only ended up using the air conditioning the evening of our arrival because after that it was just lovely to have the ocean breeze cooling the unit. Everything about this condo spells comfort – comfortable beds, furniture, bathing facilities, fully equipped kitchen, outdoor furniture on the lanai – everything. We even had access to beach chairs and boogie boards to use while visiting the many, varied beaches on the Big Island. The location is so convenient to both the town of Kailua and is right on Keauhou Bay where you can rent paddleboats and Kayaks. It’s also only a 10 minute walk up the hill to Keahou shopping centre which has some great restaurants and a grocery store as well as a local, organic farmers’ market on Saturdays. It’s also a 5 minute drive to Kahaluu beach which has (in my opinion) some of the best snorkeling in the world, and where the sea turtles come right up onto the rocks to bask in the sun. Wonderful vacation! Woundrful fun, Woundrful Kanaloa 3504!

Aloha Lowell & Family, Thank you for the use of your condo at Kanaloa. My husband and I enjoyed our stay very much, we did a lot of relaxing on this holiday. It was nice to be laid back and your condo is very comfortable to spend time in. The whole resort is beautiful, in our opinion you have one of the best views/locations in the resort! From beginning to end this is one of the nicest experience in renting a condo I have had. Every question was answered quickly, correctly and followed up by Lowell. The unit was lovely, well furnished, in beautiful, clean, comfortable condition and a delight to call home for a week. From the lanai we enjoyed the sound + view of the surf breaking on the rocks, and the paddlers practicing morning and evening. A perfect relaxing location (pool, BBQ, tennis court just a few steps away), open floor plan, ventilation options (silent ceiling fans or a/c) for temperature that suits you. We love the natural open Hawaiian breeze kissing our skin so we did appreciate this option. Just wish we could have stayed at least twice as long to fully enjoy everything…as dancers we were involved in a five day intense dance workshop so our play time was very limited. The location is great as you have super market, restaurants, drugstore, theater, post office, gas station a short distance away. Great place to snorkel and beach also within a few miles. Highly recommend you enjoy the hospitality you will receive from a visit at Kanaloa at Kona. Thanks to Lowell it’s all good!” Best Condo and No Rain!

“ After our first stay at this condo in 2008, my husband and I were eager to return. From the elegant furnishings to the gorgeous view... everything met our (very high!) expectations. When we arrived, the place was spotless. And the owners are very responsive and accomodating. We visit Kona twice per year, and we hope this unit is available the next time we return. After several noisy and disappointing condo experiences on Ali'i Drive, we think there's no better condo complex than Kanaloa, and no better one-bedroom value than unit 3504. ”

“ Beautiful location, beautiful view. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. The Lanai was our favorite spot. All the furniture was in very good condition; all the amenities such as linens, towels, kitchenware, etc. were in good condition also. The place was really nice. The condo grounds with the tropical plants were beautiful and nicely kept, and the amenities of the complex with outdoor barbecues, 3 pools and a tennis court were wonderful. We had a really great time and plan to be back to see the turtles, sunsets and relax again, in this "home away from home". It's a very special place. ”

“ What a great place. View of the ocean, big balconies, lots of space, washer dryer, great grounds with tennis, pools, etc. We never used the pools, but they looked great. Very quiet around the area. Saw a turtle in the bay outside the complex. Wonderful having the internet, it was a must. The condo is in tip top shape. ”

“ We stayed 6 days in Kanaloa at Kona. Very nice and huge suite. There were three of us and we just kept the murphy bed down the whole time and there was still lots of living room. The resort is well taken care of, the pools were great and we found the other guests very friendly. ”

“ My husband and I had a wonderful time staying at the condo. The owners were very nice and accomadating. It was very nicely remodeled and clean. The view from living room was great! We ate breakfast at the little cafe by the ocean and the food was good. There is no beach by the resort but that was ok with us. The pools were nice and maintained. We would definetly stay there again. ” Note from owner - You can walk to the near by Kahaluu Beach Park were you can swim and snorkel. Kahaluu Beach Park has the best and safest snorkeling in the Kona area!

Hi Lowell, We loved staying at Kanaloa and your unit is beautiful. It is very well equipped and it is nice to have things like tupperware and spices and such! It's more like staying in someone's home and that is nice. So many condos have such bare bones of equipment. Our daughter loved the murphy bed and she really appreciated how comfortable it is - she hates when she gets stuck sleeping on sofa beds! The two lanais are also lovely and the teak furniture is so nice. The master bedroom is very nice and the bed is very very comfortable. We also appreciated the beach towels and the boogie boards. It was just wonderful. As for Kanaloa, we really liked the complex and the views are wonderful. The complex is very well looked after and the location was perfect for us. We used the pool by the ocean several times. They have opened a restaurant by the pool now and it is serving breakfast and lunch. I understand that there used to be a restaurant there but it had closed a few years ago. Well, the new one is great and we ate there a few times. The food was good and the prices were probably the cheapest of any meal we had anywhere on Hawaii! It was definitely a great little find. I understand that the new owner is looking at also opening for dinner in the coming months. Anyways, thanks for sharing your beautiful home with us. If we are ever back in Hawaii, we'll remember your place. And we'll recommend you to anyone else we know who might be heading to the Big Island. Thanks again, Bev

Thanks for the use of your lovely Condo. We had a great time and your unit is one of the best we have stayed in at Kanaloa. We hope to rent from you again in the future. We had a total of 22 days with only one day of rain. Could have not asked for better weather. I’m sure the people there now are having a great vacation. The view from the deck is assume. Enjoyed watching all the surfers each day. Was not brave enough to do my self. Wish I was young enough to try.12 rounds of golf, two trips on the Fairwinds and a good day of fishing on the Blue Hawaii. Need a rest!! Thanks again for the opportunity to share your condo

Thank you so much for providing such a wonderful example of the true Aloha Spirit! What an amazing property you have, from the incredible floorplan, the beautiful interior and furnishings, to the fantastic master bedroom and shower, not to mention the availability of every kitchen tool and gaget known to man (and woman) kind! In addition, the fantastic view from your huge deck and the expansive Kanaloa grounds, with multiple pools to choose from as well as tennis courts, made our adventure there complete! The entire process, from scheduling our stay, locating your condo, enjoying every nook and cranny therein, plus, exploring the area, was could not have been more enjoyable. Lowell we want to let you know we had an amazing time in your condo over Christmas. The place was exactly how it looked on the internet and exactly what we expected. The location was great (the view off the living room lanai is perfect) and the amenities were excellent. The cooler and beach towels in the unit were appreciated.

Thanks Lowell. It was a magical 4 days at your beautiful home. It was so wonderful to sit on the lanai and listen to the waves crashing. I rented some snorkeling equipment and swam out into the small lagoon just steps away, and swam with hundreds of tropical fish and even a sea turtle! The only thing that is certainly no mystery is that your home is incredibly beautiful and we enjoyed ourselves immensely

Your condo is amazing, 10 times better than what we had last year at Kanaloa. The amenities are much better and the whole feeling/atmosphere is so pleasant.

We had a lovely time at your condo! It was definitely more than we expected (the pictures don't do it justice!). We felt very comfortable there, much more so than a hotel. We are actually thinking about renting it again next year if we decide to go back to the Big Island for our anniversary.
