This property has a sandy beach located on the St. Croix River. The pictures show that we have a level lot that brings you to the water which is located in a no wake zone. We have a 32'x12' dock with a diving board and ladder for hours of fun. The sandy beach is great for kids of all ages to play. There is also a fire pit by the water for relaxing evening bonfires. (firewood provided) This property is located directly across from Hudson, Wisc making it very convenient for dining and shopping. The location also provides easy accessiblity to the Afton bike trails if you like to bike ride. We are 10 minutes from the beautiful and historic Stillwater if you prefer antique shopping or strolling along the riverfront. This home is 25-30 minutes from St. Paul or Minneapolis if the downtown atmosphere is your interest. We also have a 32' x 14' foot deck facing the river with glass railings for you to relax and enjoy the view of the beautiful boats.

We were in the area for a reunion in July and the river house was the perfect base camp for our family. The grandkids stayed in the downstairs bedrooms with their own TV/DVD room. Not that they spent a lot of time there as most of the time we were enjoying the river --- swimming, canoeing, and hanging out on the fabulous deck. Our kids from the Northwest loved the fireflies! The kitchen worked well for our group of 8. We appreciated that the house was pet-free and non-smoking. All in all, a very pleasant, comfortable place.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.

I enjoyed a winter weekend at this cabin. The owners of this cabin have anticipated any need you may have. The cabin was clean, comfy and boasted a beautiful view. On Saturday we watched Bald Eagles fish in the open water. The updated kitchen is just great for feeding a family, many of my friends commented on bringing their own kin to the cabin.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, girls getaway, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
