Our home features a manicured, level, half acre lot that is perfect for family games of volleyball, kickball, etc. and provides plenty of space for the kids to run and play.
This home offers a natural shale stone beach stretching over 115' with a stone fire ring that is ideal for toasting marshmallows at night, or cooking over an open fire. The dock extends over 120 feet off the beach and is the perfect platform for the shore angler.
The entire main level of this home has hardwood flooring and features a vaulted great room with floor to ceiling windows and sliding glass doors that offer a panoramic, million dollar view of one of the widest parts of Seneca Lake. We've spent many relaxing evenings on the deck taking in the amazing view and enjoying a bottle of fine wine from one of the many local wineries - and invite you to do the same.
Also, this home is THE PERFECT home base for your wine tours/getaways during the Fall and during the holiday season.

We were in the fingerlakes to attend our daughters wedding. I wanted a cottage that would house my extended family. The Perry Point cottage on Seneca Lake was beautiful. The online pictures show the cottage perfectly. The living and dining rooms overlook the lake and it is absolutely gorgeous. The cottage was spotless, there are four good sized bedrooms, 3 1/2 bathrooms and you have all the amenities of home. The deck is the entire width of the house and we sat out there with our coffee in the morning. I would highly recommend this cottage to everyone. The hot tub was an added bonus.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

I can't say enough about this place. It's large and very open. The living room features a Cathedral ceiling and opens into the dining room and kitchen. There are four bedrooms, including a wonderful master suite, and 3 1/2 baths. No waiting for a shower. Two of the bedrooms are in the finished basement. Don't let a previous review scare you off. We were also worried about "sleeping in the basement" but it's like a regular floor down there. The bedrooms are nice and clean, and there's a large open area to put air mattresses or just sit on the futon and watch TV. No flat screen TVs, but the 32 inch TV in the living room was sufficient. DirectTV and wireless are a plus. We used them a lot. Penn Yan is about 5 miles away. Plenty of stores there. The deck is on the second level, and it's a two-flight walk down the stairs to the water. Not ideal, but hardly a deal breaker for us. Very quiet area, well maintained. We enjoyed the place very much. My sister-in-law gave it a A+++++ and we plan to be back in 2012.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.

I have rented the home on two different occasions. I have had a wonderful experience each time. The view from the house is amazing. You will feel right at home. It is a nice place to have a relaxing vacation. The neighborhood is also very nice. The neighbors even came over and introduced themselves during my first stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

My family and I visited this location this past June. I cannot express how peaceful this place is. You feel like you are in another world. The home was cozy and perfect for three families sharing a vacation. We have made memories that will last a lifetime here. Our kids fishing off the pier, visiting wineries, making smores, and just being together in a perfect family vacation home. I highly recommend this as a spot for others.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

We rented this beautiful home for a "girls' weekend". The home is in a lovely location that is very quiet and peaceful. So quiet at night that we didn't hear a single noise! The pictures of the house are accurate and it is as described. Very clean and well maintained. We had no problems at all. The hot tub was delightful! The house was very cozy with more than enough room for all. We cooked in at night and had everything we needed; pots, pans, utensils, dishes, etc. Beds were made when we arrived. Soft music playing.....very nice! We surely would rent this house again. The house is centrally located along the Seneca Lake wine trail. We rented a limo from Finger Lakes Limousine & Coach (www.fingerlakeslimo.com) and our driver, Larry, was great. If you rent from them (and I recommend you do) be sure to ask for Larry, he will make your experience alot of fun. We may make this a yearly tradition, and if we do, we would rent this house again and again!Recommended for: Sightseeing, tourists without a car, people with disabilities, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

From the moment we arrived we were amazed at how beautiful and well kept this home is. Every year 4 or 5 of us girls rent a few hotel rooms for the Wine and Cheese event but this year we decided to rent a home for more space. The house was immaculate and had all the comforts of home. We would do the wine tour by day and spend the evening on the deck. No one wanted to leave the house to do dinner out as it was just too nice, so we would grill at home. For those who wanted their own space there was plenty of room to wander about in the many rooms on 2 different floors for a bit of down time. The owners of the house are very friendly and helpful. If you are looking for a place to rent on the wine trail or even just for a lovely vacation get away on the lake this is the place for you.Recommended for: Girls getaway, families with young children, age 55+, families with teenagers.

The house was perfect for our group of 11! The 3 1/2 bathrooms were perfect. The kitchen and connected dining room was great and spacious. The downstairs provided an open and inviting get away when needed. Hot tub was relaxing! The wrap around deck and the view with all of the windows was spectacular!! We had everything we needed there for our stay (pots/pans/dishes/silverware...). Would definitely stay again!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, pet owners, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Why the Owner Chose Watkins Glen:
The Finger Lakes are one of the last 'undiscovered' great vacation destinations that I know of. The wineries and the outdoor activities available are without comparison on the east coast and offer a very unique combination of things to do. We chose to purchase this particular home mainly because of the size and configuration of the lot and the beach (1/2 acre, level yard with easy access to the beach and a great area for swimming), the views and the layout of the house - which is VERY open due to the great room and the wall of windows facing the water. You really feel like the lake is a part of the house because of how the home is sited and because of the wall of windows and the wraparound deck. We simply did not see any other home that was comparable.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Great views. Great swimming. GREAT FISHING (most notably smallmouth bass and northern pike right off the dock and right at the drop off about 300 yards offshore). Great wineries within a very short drive or even within biking distance. Quick access to Penn Yan for groceries, bars, restaurants, diners, etc. Located in the exact middle of the lake between Watkins Glen and Geneva.
