  We really enjoyed our stay at this fabulous beach house conveniently located near everything that's fun to do in beautiful Cambria. You might be tempted to drive in to town (which is less than a mile away), but you'd be missing a wonderful walk which starts with a great view of the ocean, then brings you close to the shoreline as you pass a lovely park. The house itself has everything to make a visit very pleasant, from the wide open layout of the upstairs area, to the luxurious wide screen TV's, and a picture perfect view of the ocean and San Simeon Mountains. Did I mention the telescope? Do yourself a favor and buy some locally roasted Cambria coffee to enjoy on the balcony which is just outside the kitchen and if you're a foodie, definitely check out The Black Cat. You'll need reservations but just like this gem of a beach house, it's well worth it!

  We came here with my brother and his family for a fun weekend getaway. This place was just what we needed! Photos do a nice job showing off the inside of the house, but they do NOT do the view justice! It was so relaxing to stare at the ocean from the upper floor. I thought my wife was going to spend the whole vacation in the window seat! You can see (and hear!) the waves breaking on Moonstone Beach. On a clear day, you can see the Hearst Castle from the dining room. The Master bedroom (and bathroom) is upstairs and there are two bedrooms and one bathroom downstairs. The bed was so comfy, we made a note of the kind of mattress so we can get one for home! The couches in the living room recline and are extremely comfortable – a great place to watch TV or read a good book. The wood-burning fireplace is also a nice touch on a relaxing evening. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots and pans should you want a home cooked meal. And the kids loved it as well. There was a nice little back yard – and Shamel Park & Moonstone Beach are just a short walk down the hill. The west end of town is an easy walk of only about a half-mile. There are 2 HDTVs with HD DirecTV (one in the Living Room, one in the Master) and there’s a Blu-ray DVD player (that can also stream Netflix) and a nice selection of movies and TV shows on DVD. So many great restaurants to choose from: Linn’s (great breakfast!), Moonstone Bar and Grill (lunch w/ ocean view!), Robin’s, Sow’s Ear, Las Cambritas, Main Street Grill (hamburgers, ribs and tri tip sandwiches)… And don't miss the Red Moose Cookie Company! The Cinniful cookies are the best I've ever had! We would highly recommend this place to friends and family. We will definitely be back!
