My husband & I stayed the month of Sept in the apartment. The owner was very helpful. The apartment is so well placed we walked to dinner every night and along the waterfront. The unit has a wonderful collection on movies and netflix so we watched the entire season of Upstairs downstairs. The rooms were beautiful colors and very clean. The bed was comfortable. We would highly recommend this and are planning to stay here again this year. It is an older building and could do with a bit of a facelift, especially the entrance and windows but, all things considered it is the best value around.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway, people with disabilities, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

This location was great for us and the price was, too. We were in Wilmington to meet with wedding vendors for our daughter's March event...everything was close by and easy to get to and we loved the walk along the river. BTW, Wilmington airport is wonderful and so easy to get to and from. This upstairs apartment had everything we needed except a hair dryer - (which I purposefully didn't bring and had to then borrow), and some plastic wrap in the kitchen would have been handy for leftovers etc. But there were plenty of pans, dishes, glasses, etc. There is a washer/dryer in the unit and we were able to get the linens washed before we left. The beds were comfortable thought the pillows were old and flat. The lighting was all florescent which was reasonable but a brighter light near the beds would have made it easier to read. WiFi was handy and the TV had Netflix and other programing that I don't know anything about but probably a plus for TV watchers. The unit is located at the corner of Ann and Front -at the bus stop and just blocks away from the local bars which were very busy on a Saturday night - translation: a bit of noise. I think someone left their underwear in the chest of drawers which seemed odd that no one found them while cleaning, and the drain in the bathroom sink was clogged with hair, but we managed to clear it out and didn't have any problems after that. The owner, Steven, was available if we needed him and was very nice. So our six nights went very smoothly and I would consider staying again for a short time.Recommended for: Age 55+, families with teenagers, sightseeing.
Owner response: Thanks for your review Janet. I hope you'll be back to stay with us again.

I completely enjoyed my stay at this location. It's within walking distance to downtown, the decor is clean and lovely, it has all the amenities one could ask for, large kitchen, comfortable furniture, wonderful deck to hang out on. My late arrival into town was not an issue for moving in. The owner was a gracious host with a functional knowledge of what's interesting to do and where in town. I would definitely stay here again.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

My wife and I spent a week at this apartment the first week of October. It was perfect for exploring Wilmington and surrounding communities. We did day trips to Southport, Calabash, New Bern and Morehead City. You could not ask for a more convenient location for exploring Historic Downtown Wilmington. It is an easy walk to the riverfront, shopping and many restaurants. We highly recommend eating at Circa 1922. Prices are very reasonable and my wife, after taking a bite from her dinner the first night, proclaimed that it was so good so thought she would cry. We ate there twice more. Steve, the apartment owner stopped by and chatted one evening. He was easy to reach by cell phone and gave us local recommendations for golf and beaches. We would highly recommend this location for anyone. The homes in the historic district were beautiful and we actually were able to go to a couple of open houses and view the interiors. Beaches are in close proximity and we visited Wrightsville, Kure and Carolina beaches. It was wonderful being able to swim in October. Five stars across the board!Did you find this review helpful?
