Our new Paris Home

Guest: Christine H. (Boston, MA)
Date of Stay: 03/22/12 Review Submitted: 04/11/12

This is one of those reviews one hesitates to write, because we loved the place so much, and want to go back, and we want the apartment available when we go back, and if we write a really great review EVERYBODY will book it--but Eric deserves this review. So, here goes... Listing description and pictures are accurate. Location is fabulous, St. Paul Metro stop, on one of those quiet streets in between busier streets. Kitchen and bedroom look out on a charming interior courtyard garden. Property was clean, well-maintained, well-stocked. Eric is lovely, had laid in a few provisions, took time to show us how to operate microwave/dishwasher/washing machine/ wireless, and then checked back with us a day later to make sure everything was fine. He also gave us great local bistro recommendations (two local bistros one block away, Le Petit Marche and Le Petit Italien (formerly Gli Angeli), both owned by the owner of the legendary Chez Janou, which is only TWO blocks away.). Our window flowerboxes had just been planted with geraniums... We were three--a couple who took the main bedroom, and an adult son who arrived several days later and stayed in the living room on one of the bed/couches there. Privacy is easy--both rooms have doors that close onto the hallway where the bathroom is, so at night we were able to use the bathroom without disturbing the livingroom sleeper. Little things--the bed linens are of lovely quality. The mattresses are firm. The kitchenware is crisp and new. I'm searching to think of something I didn't like, but can't think of anything...

At home in Paris

Guest: Kathleen & John (Seattle, WA, USA)
Date of Stay: 02/28/12 Review Submitted: 05/02/12

We stayed here the first 2 weeks of March. The apt. is so comfortable, it feels like home!--not sterile and overperfect like a hotel. The furnishings are fun and eclectic, the shower nice & hot & strong, kitchen appliances easy to use. We slept in both the bedroom and, for a few days while we had friends visiting (with permission), in the living room. All beds are good and firm (in the living room they are daybeds so a little bit narrow). So quiet in the bedroom, you won't believe you're in the middle of Paris, and it's sweet and romantic. In the living room I wore earplugs at night and that was enough to block out any minor noise from the street or hallway. My husband was on crutches during this visit, so unable to take the Metro (too many stairs!) or walk as much as we usually do; the apartment was superbly located for such a handicap, as there are two great bus lines within 2 blocks, and a handful of others just a few blocks further on rue St. Antoine. There are just a couple of steps required to enter the building. The boulangerie at the corner, Le moulin de Rosa, makes the best "pain aux raisins" I have found in 15 years of visiting France! Eric is a charming host, really welcoming and helpful. Our conversations with him are a lovely part of our memories of this visit. Thank you Eric for everything--we hope to see you again next year!

fantastique

i just returned from a week at this lovely apartment. the neighborhood is great, not overly commercial. just walk to the corner for your croissants or baquette. easy walk to the metro (and even the opera). pleasant walk to the pompidou. as everyone has stated, the owner, eric, is a pleasure to work with and was very flexible. the apartment is in a very secure building on a small side street behind place des vosges. the apartment is simply furnished but quite comfortable and cozy. even in the middle of january, during a cold, gray and rainy week, the apartment was a cozy place to come back to (what weather is better for going to museums and cafes?) the ceiling beams are great, lending so much character to the space. the kitchen has everything you will need. my cousin slept in the bedroom and i slept on one of the twin beds/sofas in the livingroom. both beds were very comfortable. if you sleep in the livingroom i think the only slight negative is you do hear the front doors when the other residents go in or out so it may wake you up in the morning but i would usually fall back asleep and maybe some people might not hear it (it was no problem in the back backroom according to my cousin). i would still give this apartment 5 stars. the restaurants recommended by eric were excellent - chez janou and le petit marche - both within a couple blocks - but make reservations. i can't wait to go back to paris and i recommend this apartment without hesitation. you will not be disappointed. merci beaucoup eric!

Experience Paris in this charming, comfortably furnished, historically located jewel of an apartment

Guest: Betty (Denver CO USA)
Date of Stay: 12/22/11 Review Submitted: 01/02/12

Our family (parents and two adult daughters) chose this apartment for our Christmas holiday based on the photos, description and stellar reviews provided by previous guests. Absolutely all of the details mentioned were unquestionably accurate! The location is ideal both for accessibility to major sites as well as neighborhood charms (boulangerie, bistrots, cafes, shops). The photos under-represent the charming eclectic mix of furnishings and the kitchen is particularly well outfitted with modern appliances and stylishly chosen tableware. The comfort systems (heating and on-demand hot water) operated seamlessly. Best of all, however, is the helpfulness of the owner/host. As mentioned by other guests all processes, including communication prior to arrival, were conducted reliably and graciously. Eric provides recommendations and location information for restaurants, bakeries, supermarkets, etc. and will even make restaurant reservations, when, as in our case, Christmas booking was challenging. He also offered to print tickets from an internet reservation. We would wholeheartedly recommend this property and hope to return soon ourselves. In fact, we now believe that choosing this apartment because of its location and amenities offered the single most significant contribution to making our stay in Paris so satisfying.

The perfect place to experience warm, local and real Paris!

Date of Stay: 12/08/11 Review Submitted: 12/13/11

We stayed in this apartment for 4 nights in December and loved it. As mentioned, Eric lives in the building and is very warm, friendly, and accommodating. He was able to give excellent advice, was prompt with all the transactions, and even had a few basics stocked for us on arrival. The apartment itself is on a quiet street just a block from Place des Vosges and is warm and inviting with eclectic decor and plenty of space. The kitchen is well stocked and there is a boulangerie literally 30 seconds away as well as cafes and markets within 2 minutes. The location is ideal for a stroll or walk to many attractions such as Notre Dame, Centre Pompidou, Bastille, Louvre. If you'd rather take the metro, key stops as few as 3 minutes away. I could not recommend the apartment highly enough if you want to get away from a typical hotel stay and into the heart of a trendy chic area with the locals. Eric is a wonderful host and I can't wait to visit and stay here again!

My husband and I and our two teenage daughters stayed very comfortably at this apartment. As nice as it looks in the photos, the apartment is actually incredible. The apartment has the charm of an entirely different era with its exposed beams and floor to ceiling windows, and has been furnished beautifully. The location is wonderful, around the corner from markets, shops, and a short distance from the Metro. We ate breakfast in the apartment, and the kitchen was lovely. Eric could not have been nicer, greeting us when we arrived and stocking the kitchen with such items as coffee, bottled water, and milk. As chilly as the weather was during our vacation, the apartment was always cozy. We all slept so comfortably that we missed some of our touring time! This apartment was as much part of our experience as Paris itself!

We couln't have been happier with the apartment. It was like being at home. There were so meny nice little touches. Like having a phone to use to call home at no charge or the washer in the bathroom. The decor was charming and the place was very clean. The location was close to two Metros and shopping within two blocks. We enjoyed having a new kitchen which was well equipted and had a dish washer. Our host Eric was so kind and went out of his way to help us with anything we needed. All in all I would always try to get this apartment when in Paris.

Excellent Choice for Paris Travel

This apartment was the first stop on our 2-week Europe travel. And it ended up to be an excellent decision because this apartment is great and Eric is a very responsible and helpful landlord to work with. Not only the apartment is neat and spacious enough for the four of us (two adults and two children), it is also very convenient to all the places. We didn't rent a car, so the location of the apartment is a great help. Thanks to the good choice we made in choosing this apartment we enjoyed our stay of Paris very much.

we spent a fabulous week at this apartment with my husband and 2 small children. it was perfect for a small family as there was plenty of room - the girls sleptin the bedroom while my husband and i pushed the 2 twin sofas together at night and slept in the living room. the apartment was charming - better than the pictures. and the location is beyond perfect. a block from the place des vosges and within walking distance to many great restaurants and bakeries and shops. and eric is beyond helpful. he was there waiting for us upon our arrival and he was accessible and generous. the aparatmetn was stocked with staples - food and information. the only bad thing i can say is that being on the ground floor next to the door, it was a little noisy in the morning with the slamming of the doors. that being said, we would stay there again in a minute.

Short Family Stay in Paris

Guest: Janice (St. Louis, MO U.S.A.)
Date of Stay: 06/10/11 Review Submitted: 08/22/11

My family and I had the pleasure of renting Eric's apartment this summer for a short stay before heading to the south of France. The apartment was wonderfully appointed, warm and comfortable -- loved the beams in the ceiling and the courtyard view. We arrived earlier than expected and Eric was extremely gracious in accommodating our things until the apartment was ready for us. The beds were very comfortable and we were especially grateful for the washer/dryer when the airline misplaced our bags for a couple of days. The apartment was swell situated with good shopping and charming small restaurants nearby. We love walking and, while the apartment was a bit further from the Louvre than the thought it would be, the walk was lovely -- and the metro was close for those who would rather take public transportation. The primary reason we'd reserved this apartment is that Eric himself had been cited so often for his helpfulness in other reviews. We'd never rented an apartment in a large city before, so this was very important in our decision. He was, indeed, very solicitous and helpful throughout our stay, making us feel very at home in Paris.

The BEST of everything in Paris

Prior reviewers hit the high spots. This is my 6th trip to Paris, with my son (his 5th trip) and my granddaughter (her 1st). All agree that we could not have had a more beautiful and convenient place to stay. Location, space just right for 3, amenities and the most amiable and gracious host. Many ethnic restaurants nearby that had the vegetarian meals my son wanted. Try Le Petit Dakar, a Senegalise restaurant on Rue Elzevir, near Musee Cognac Jay (also not to be missed). This apartment will be our first choice for every return to Paris.

Fabulous rental in a fabulous neighborhood

A friend and I rented this apartment in mid-May and loved it. It's quiet, clean, comfortable and very charming - we felt very much at home and the apartment is conveniently located. Eric was a gracious and generous host who was always available to answer any questions we might have and assist us in any way he could - he helped me connect my Ipad to his wifi, offered to print our boarding passes and called a taxi for us the day we left Paris. He is also trustworthy and honest, the exchange of payment and refund of our deposit was quick and efficient. I can't praise him enough and having the property owner living in the same complex is very reassuring. The neighborhood is wonderful, lots of shops and restaurants nearby (great boulangerie down the street from the apartment) - we lived like locals during our stay. We definitely plan on returning and renting Eric's charming apartment again. Vive le Marais!

A great apartment and a great landlord.

Guest: Mike (Dallas, TX)
Date of Stay: 05/07/11 Review Submitted: 05/14/11

This Paris apartment was everything we look for in a vacation rental. While it only had one bedroom, it had three beds (one queen and two twins), which would worked well for our family of 3, and would obviously also work for a family of 4. We thought it was clean and reasonably priced (for Paris). In addition, it was in a very convenient location, in a safe area of the city, on the ground floor, and on a relatively quiet street. With our previous apartment rentals, we found that most one bedroom apartments utilize a sleeper sofa in the living room which are never comfortable to sleep on. This apartment has two comfortable twin beds in the living room which double as sofas during the day. This really worked well, and I don't understand why more landlords don't do this. The kitchen is well equipped with just about everything except a conventional oven (it does have a microwave oven, stove top burners, and a toaster). It even has a dishwasher. There is a washing machine in the bathroom, but no dryer. Eric was very professional in his communication during the rental process, and the perfect host once we arrived. His English is very good, and he actually lives in the building so he was available to help if we needed anything (for example, he let us borrow his bathroom scales so we could weigh our luggage prior to leaving for the airport). We arrived on a Sunday when most food stores are closed so he stocked the kitchen in advance with some basics like milk, coffee, and orange juice (and even a couple of beers). He is a very nice and considerate person. Eric has prepared a resource book that includes all sorts of helpful information about the apartment and the area including a map of recommended restaurants and patisseries located nearby (very close). We ate at both Chez Janue and La Petit Marche. Both were excellent - very Parisian. Be sure to order the chocolate mousse at Chez Janue! Hopefully we will return to Paris some day soon, and when we do, we are planning on staying here again.

Guest: Trish (Utah, USA)
Date of Stay: 03/17/11 Review Submitted: 04/01/11

After renting this apartment last year, I knew I had to return and so I did for 10 days in March. There have been some upgrades to the apartment since last year, new chairs in the living room, new paint in the bathroom and sat TV (not too many English channels but I never turned it on anyway) and wifi. Eric provided the same gracious help and assistance during my visit and was available whenever I needed him by phone. He even printed my boarding pass for me. I found the location to be good for transportation, the #96 bus on Rue de Turenne and the #69 bus on Rue St. Antoine (just through the Place des Voges) took me to most of the tourist sites. There is a bus line guide in the apartment which comes in handy for plotting your course for the day. The #91 bus from Bastille got me to Gare Montparnasse easily for a day trip to Chartres. I cooked in most nights but ate nearby at several places, Cafè des Musées, Nectarine, and les Bonne Soeurs. I would certainly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a peaceful, well-equipted rental.

Excellent Apartment and Experience

Date of Stay: 12/11/10 Review Submitted: 01/27/11

We stayed in Eric’s apartment in December 2010, a couple of weeks before Christmas. This was our first visit to Paris and we were traveling with our two kids. Staying in Eric’s apartment was the best decision we made. The apartment is very well maintained, clean and perfect in every way. The building is historic yet the apartment has all the modern amenities. Being on the first floor, one does not have to worry about elevators or climbing stairs. The apartment was very spacious for our family of four, well decorated and the furniture was comfortable. Although the outside temperatures hovered around freezing, the inside was warm and cozy. There were plenty of travel books in the living room, in case someone needs them. The kitchen had pasta, pastries, milk and juice. The location of the apartment is particularly great. It is very close to the historic Bastille and the Place des Vosges and a short walk to numerous cafes, pharmacies, grocery stores and a supermarket. There are multiple Metro stations within a short walk but the one we used every day was the Bastille. This station connected you to most sights within Paris with not more than one change in trains. Most of all, Eric was extremely helpful during the entire process. This was especially important to us since not only was this our first visit to Paris, it was also our first time renting an apartment for a vacation. He provided us with pointers on Paris and suggestions on the places to visit and cafes to eat in. His suggestions were spot on. On the last day, he offered to get us a taxi to the airport. Eric is a great host and he and his apartment made our first visit to Paris, a memorable one. When we visit Paris the next time, we hope to stay in the same apartment.

Myself and my children, (22yo,20yo and 16yo) spent a week in this wonderful apartment in late November 2010. Our first experience staying in an apartment and the first leg of a wonderful 2 month trip through Europe. The apartment is extremely well equipped and the layout suits families. The photos do not do it justice... The kitchen was stocked for our arrival with the necessities but the supermarkets and the bakeries etc are a very short walk away! Eric had prepared a booklet with comprehensive information relating to the area and amenities. Invaluable! He recommended the nearby Chez Janou and we had a wonderful family dinner there. Would definitely return for another superb meal! Although cold outside, the apartment was warm and extremely comfortable. The lounge area well stocked with guide books and maps and Eric available for advice and queries. Security of and access to the apartment was excellent...and the metro stations Bastille and Chemin Vert a short walk away. The area was delightful with interesting shops, cafes and the Musee Carnavalet (very good for history of Paris) within easy strolling distance! Our only regret was that we could not stay longer! Eric is an attentive host who ensured that our stay was perfect...we will definitely return and hopefully stay much longer in this delightful apartment.

This is a lovely, renovated apartment in an historic building very close to Place des Vosges. Located on a quiet side street, it's a quick walk to Marais destinations and within walking distance of major attractions (we walked to the Tuileries several times). The apartment is well-appointed in a designerly mix of antiques and Ikea, has great lighting, and is obviously well-cared for. There's a small but well-equiped kitchen that was good for several dinners at the apartment. Eric was gracious and helpful. We hope to stay there again and would highly recommend it.

Apartment living is the best!

Guest: Debbie Lynn (New York)
Date of Stay: 09/13/10 Review Submitted: 10/16/10

This September, my husband and I spent 5 nights in this apartment with our daughter and her husband. This is the first time we ever experienced apartment living and I don’t ever want to go back to a hotel! We found we enjoyed the independence of having our own place. We were able to leisurely get up in the morning and have coffee while still in pajamas. We could come back during the day and relax, have a snack and we even cooked dinner one evening. The layout of the apartment worked well for us- one couple in the bedroom and the other on the daybeds in the living room. Each area could be closed with a door and we both had access to the bathroom, which was between the two. We found the apartment to be clean and well cared for and Eric was easy to work with. Our communications via email went smoothly and he answered all my questions promptly. The area near Place de Vosges was very safe and we were able to find bakeries, small supermarkets and restaurants in the immediate area. I wanted to stay somewhere that was not too touristy and this fit the bill. I can definitely recommend this apartment to anyone who is interested in staying in the Marais. Our only negative comment is that the Marais area is a little bit further to some of the tourist spots, such as the Eiffel tower, the Latin quarter , Luxembourg garden, as well as the Louvre and Musee D’Orsay. We did use the metro quite often since these areas were quite a bit far. District 5 or 6 would probably be a little more central, but also noisier and more touristy. You have to decide which is more important to you. We enjoyed the neighborhood and would definitely stay in this area again.

Our stay in this very comfortable and tastefully decorated apartment was superb. Eric was a delightful host and available at any time to answer questions. Fortunately, we never needed him since everything was in order. We frequented his one restaurant suggestion, Cafe Jenou, three times. Outstanding French cooking! The bedroom is stone quiet at night. The pictures accurately reflect the appearance and design--it's very charming. Our 9-year-old loved it. It is one block away from Place de Vosgue and roughly 5 minutes away from three Metro stops (#1 line Bastille and St. Paul and #8 Chemin Vert). While much of Paris is closed on Sunday, the Jewish section is very much alive. Highly recommended.

Date of Stay: 07/07/10 Review Submitted: 07/28/10

My husband, myself and our two children (8 and 11) stayed for four nights and were absolutely comfortable. The kitchen was nicely furnished and easy for preparation of basic meals (if you must cook!). Eric even stocked the fridge with basic items to help us settle in easily. Beds were comfortable, furniture was nice, washer was easy to use, neighborhood was quiet, price was fair. The apartment was perfectly clean with everything needed provided. I would recommend for families with 1 or 2 children or 2 couples who don't mind being close. Would be perfect for a romantic vacation for two!! If the size suits your needs, stay here. You will feel like you live in Paris. The neighborhood is a fabulous location and Eric was exceptional in making sure we were comfortable and acquainted with the area providing lots of materials and a very handy map with key locations marked (I took a picture with my cell phone so I had it with me all the time). He also provided travel books and maps for our use that proved invaluable. Metro stations nearby and very easy to use. He is a great guy and you will be happy to have met him. Note that the apartment is located southeast of city central so you have to travel a little to many of the sites (often 20 to 30 minutes) but the Metro is so easy, you will travel with ease. Buy the book of tickets at the stations. The location worked for us because we could be in the middle of things and then go back to our quiet apartment. Walked to groceries, restaurants, bakeries, shoes stores, Notre Dame, Saint Chapelle; even found the exact souvenir my daughter wanted at the Russian Nesting Doll store we discovered right around the corner!! General travel notes: the Open Top Hop On Hop Off bus tours are a waste of time: too much waiting at each stop. We got bored and jumped ship. A traditional bus tour would have been a better use of our time. Buses in general are slow because you will sit in traffic. Fine for a tour or two but otherwise, hit the Metro and do your touring on foot. We did not purchase the Museum Pass and only regretted it once when we waited in line at St. Chapelle. Plan your visits off-hours and you won't wait in lines. We breezed into Eiffel (with prepurchased reservations), Louvre on Friday afternoon, Notre Dame early (even on a Saturday), etc. Also, don't use Parishuttle for airport transportation; what a pain! Have fun!!

We found the apartment charming and elegant, with tasteful decor, displaying Eric's special flair. The location in the Marais right by the incomparable place des Vosges is perfect. After a few hours here one feels like a real Parisian. We will definitely return for an even longer stay next time. Eric was extremely friendly and helpful, and the apartment was exactly as advertised - clean, comfortable, well-located, in a great neighbourhood. There's a bakery just down the street, and lots of neat little shops and restaurants. If you stay here you should also check out the little restaurant 'Le Petit Marché' just around the corner, which was also exceptional and excellent value.

I stayed here the second week of May and was so pleased with the apartment and the attention I received from my host, Eric, that I hated to leave. The photos are accurate but it's difficult to see the true layout from them. The apartment is well arranged and the bedroom is set back from the rest of the apartment so that it is always quiet despite being right on ground level. The street is not very busy at night so it was easy to get a good night's sleep. Eric provides a notebook which includes all necessary information to make your stay enjoyable such as a map with grocery stores, laundries (if you need a dryer), and bakeries shown. There are also restaurant recommendations for neighborhood places. I never had to walk more that 10 minutes to find wonderful places to shop or eat, especially the artisan chocolate shop on the next street over. The apartment is also well located for bus connections. The building has a security door and you get a coded key to enter the street door and then there is another security door to reach the apartments, so it feels very safe and I would recommend it as a solo traveler. There are only 2 small steps from the street into the hallway so it would be an easy place for people with mobility problems. I will certainly return to this apartment and have already recommended it to friends.

My wife anbd I stayed in this apartment for a week in early May 2010 and were very pleased with it. We found Eric a most agreeable and helpful owner, and every thing in good order. We especially appreciated the way in which Eric had provided milk, juice and mineral waters for us, and to find lots of other useful things in the kitchen. The location is excellent for sightseeing, with muuch to see in the immediate neighbourhood. We have stayed in many rental apartments in Paris and are pleased to say this was one of the best.

This apartment is in a great location for walking to the many sites in Paris or for taking the metro. Nice, clean, accommodations with a bright, well stocked kitchen and refrigerator. The reading material, hair dryer and wireless internet are nice extras. Eric, the owner, is very professional, friendly, responsive and helpful. There is a bakery on the nearby corner with a fresh selection of wonderful pastries every morning. You will enjoy your stay here.

My family and I stayed at this beautiful apartment for the New Years 2010 and the experience was perfect. The space is extremely comfortable and very nicely decorated. The pictures of it do not begin to show how lovely it really is. It is located right down the street from a Boulangerie filled with delicious delicacies and a magical buttery smell – a great place to pick up a baguette or croissant to start the day. But what makes this apartment so special is the host Eric. He is most attentive and left no detail untouched –from providing us with a refrigerator filled with basics upon our arrival to surprising me with a beautiful bouquet of white roses for my birthday. We highly recommend staying here!

My boyfriend and I stayed at the flat over Thanksgiving 2009 (late November) and had the most wonderful experience. The flat is tastefully decorated, well appointed (all the standard things plus wireless internet, washing machine and even phone for free local and international mobile phone calls), very clean and ideally located a block away from the beautiful Place Des Vosges. We were utterly charmed. Eric was a fantastic host and even helped us find an emergency eye doctor one morning when my boyfriend woke up with a mild case of eye infection. We will definitely come stay again when we next visit Paris. Eric, thanks again for your hospitality.

This apartment was a lucky find. It proved to be a home away from home that was exactly as the pictures illustrated, well-appointed with historic charm and very livable for our 10-day stay with a kitchen, landline, high speed internet, and washer. Its location is convenient - around the corner from the Place des Vosges, with easy access to the Metro, supermarche, boulangerie, bistros, and a Sunday open air market. If you want to create a personal and unique vacation experience, immersing yourself more fully into Parisian life, I can't think of a better setting. Merci beaucoup et a bientot, Eric!

This is an exceptional apartment. It is attractive, beautifully situated in the heart of the Marais, with outdoor market nearby on Sundays and every Parisian delight nearby (wonderful bakery at the corner on the right, as well as shops, cafes, butcher, and so much more). The apartment is comfortable, with all needs considered including long distance phone access, basic supplies in the fridge and cupboards) Eric is pleasant, accessible, and attentive. I highly recommend this apartment and hope to go back myself.

Eric, the manager, is very attentive to all special situations and needs of his guests. A wonderful location as a base to visit Paris. The appartment is five minutes walk to major metro station, five minutes walk to multiple bistros & restaurants, five minutes walk to the supermarket, etc. etc. This large, for a one bedroom, apartment is very practical with a modern kitchen, a large living/secondary sleeping area and the bathroom is off the corridor between the living/sleeping area and the closed bedroom. Comfortable beds. Excellent value. To be recommended.

We loved this apartment and would highly recommend it! It's in a great neighborhood -- the Marais -- with loads of cafes and restaurants to choose from. The apartment itself, however, is on an amazingly quiet street. It's also only a few minutes from the No. 1 Metro line which made it incredibly easy to get almost anywhere in Paris. The apartment is clean and well furnished. The washer was a plus for a family (11 and 13 years) as was the kitchen (which was stocked with basics like milk when we arrived). Eric, the owner, was amazingly helpful and friendly -- before we go there and once we arrived. He gave us many helpful tips. We would rent this apartment again!

This is a charming apt. on the ground floor, such a rare find in the Marais. Eric made us feel right at home and was extremely helpful. We will definitely recommend this place to family and friends looking for a convenient home away from home in Paris.

We had a wonderful stay at Eric's apartment in Paris (we were two couples). Great location one block from Place Des Vosages. The apartment was very comfortable and beautifully decorated. The kitchen had everything one might need to cook up a meal. Eric was most accommodating and was quick to respond to the few requests we had (he lives in the building) I would highly recommend this apartment to my family and friends and we plan to book it again in the future. Hi, everyone! Eric's apartment is excellent! We stayed there this year - 2009. We had a wonderful time there. It was just myself and a friend. His apartment is beautiful and spacious. Just like the tour shows on his website. It's on the ground floor. It is close to shopping and restaurants. Like the previous reviewer said, there is a wonderful bakery right around the corner. If you stay here, you have to go there. The owner of the bakery is extremely nice. And speaks wonderful English as does Eric. Plus, the wireless internet was great! Worked perfectly! I would highly recommend this apartment as well. In fact, I am planning on coming back to it in September of this year. Vikki

My comments are way overdue since we stayed at this apartment in July 2008, but I just looked up the listing in order to recommend it to a friend and see that no one has left comments yet.My family of four had a wonderful 8-day stay at this apartment. It is as beautiful as the pictures indicate. I wanted to redecorate when I got home! The apartment is on a quiet street in a lovely neighborhood—with Place des Vosges less than a block away. Having a bakery right on the corner was a real treat. Eric, the owner, was extremely patient in answering my questions about the apartment and using Paypal to make payments. We didn’t feel like we needed help finding our way around the city, but he lives in another apartment in the same building and offered his help if we needed it. His English is perfect.I highly recommend this apartment. We would definitely rent it again.
