Home Away From Home! Southern hospitality, peace and quiet, plus nearby activities await you at this charming, roomy home in the historic town of Port Royal. We're less than a simple 2 minute drive from Parris Island entrance, only 5 minutes from historic Beaufort with its many shops, galleries and restaurants, 35 minutes Hunting Island's 5,000 acre State Park with its long white beaches, public swimming beach, hiking and bird watching, and also minutes from the many islands that offer endless beautiful scenery, great galleries, antiquing, restaurants and gorgeous weather. History buffs, nature lovers and those who treasure the peace and quiet of a traditional walking community will enjoy staying with us in Port Royal's friendly, small neighborhood atmosphere.

We would love to share our home with you. We've recently renovated this charming, roomy Port Royal home in the heart of Port Royal. All rooms are cheerfully decorated for comfort and relaxation to help make you feel at home. Come stay with us and enjoy the quiet and charm of Port Royal that we fell in love with. Friendly neighbors and town folk, church bells that ring at noon, birds that sing to bring in the new day, and peace and quiet greets you every day. A real at-home place to get re-acquainted with your graduating marine or to vacation.


Take a short walk or safely bicycle to everything you need to relax and un-wind in a small friendly neighborhood atmosphere. Enjoy the local restaurants (Dockside, Thai, Bateaux, McPherson's Famous Barbeque, Pizza, or Moondoggies); our favorite coffee shop, walking trails, the water front that offers boat launch ramps, docks, amazing fishing, community Sands Beach, and a boardwalk with a look-out tower where you can watch the dolphins play in the water and the many varieties of birds fly over head. Enjoy the local activities or just relax on the large screened-in porch which overlooks the front garden. Your children can safely play in the large 1/2 acre rear yard.

  • Charcoal BBQ Grill: Charcoal BBQ Grill can be used on the driveway (only).
  • Deck/Patio: Very large screened-in porch has dining set with table and chairs, and two very comfortable rocking chairs. Porch is accessible from front lawn, living room and white queen bedroom. Ceiling fan and the constant breeze make it one of our favorite rooms.

  • All bedrooms, living room and dining room have hardwood floors. Bathrooms and kitchen have tiled floors. House is completely air-conditioned and most rooms have ceiling fans.
• Suitability
  • No Pets Allowed: Absolutely no pets permitted on the property. An additional cleaning fee will be imposed if this rule is not followed.
  • Kid Friendly: Village of Port Royal is a small semi-closed community with very little traffic. We have a large rear yard for playing.
  • Minimum Age Limit for Renters: 25 years old
  • Smoking Not Allowed: Smoking is only permitted in the lawn and on the porch. An additional cleaning fee will be imposed if smoking occurs in the house.

  • We stayed at this house for our son's graduation from Parris Island on June 26. It's a great location and provides everything you need for the stay. It was nice to have the room for everyone to be comfortable and to be able to relax. We would definitely recommend it to anyone.

  • What a great place to stay! Cozy, comfy and clean is how I would describe this house. After a long day, it was nice to come "home". So much better than staying at a hotel, especially if you have a large group. We stayed from April 6 - 10 and took advantage of the close proximity to Savannah and Charleston to go sightseeing. It was great to be able to get up early on Family Day at Parris Island and be there in five minutes. It was nice to be able to come back to the house after Graduation so my new Marine could shower and change into his civvies. Whether you are going to a Marine graduation or just want to vacation in this area, this is the place to make your "home base"!

  • We enjoyed out stay for our daughter's March 6th graduation. So much closer to base than any hotel or anything in Beaufort! We beat the traffice both mornings! So nice. The house was easy to find and fit our needs perfectly! We brought our laptop because we knew there was internet. It was great! Plus transaction with owner was easy! No issues at all. I would recommed to anyone.

  • We stayed in the home for our sons 19 December 2008 graduation from Parris Island. We loved that at 4am we could hear the recruits training. We we so close that we we able to make a few trips to the base to shop before we left for home. The house was very nice and had everything we needed to BBQ and prepare a few home cooked meals and my son was able to relax. If we ever return to Port Royal we would stay at this home for sure.   • I am writing this later than I should have, but , better late than neve. We LOVED this house!!! We stayed here in October for my sons graduation from P.I. The house is so close to base, that it made my "stalking" easy. The house had everything you could ask for. My son was able to relax and take a nice LONG, HOT shower- he loved it. I would and HAVE recommend this house to anyone.

  • We rented the house Nov 19-21 for my step son's graduation. We were very pleased with the home. It was very clean and well supplied. My favorite part was the screened in porch, I would sit out there and listen to the peace and quiet. Will be sure to recommend to others we know that will be going to the area. Thank you so much!

  • The house was perfect for our family of 7 when we went for my brother-in-law's graduation from Parris Island. The house was clean and it was much nicer than any hotel we could have stayed at. And it would have been difficult to be any closer to the entrance of Parris Island without being on the island itself. Would definitely recommend it to anyone going to a graduation at Parris Island.

  • My family stayed in this house for our sons graduation from Parris Island Sept 2008. We were a group of 7 adults and 2 small children. The house was clean and well stocked. Everything that it is advertised. We were VERY PLEASED!! If we have any other opportunity to stay in the area, we will be reserving again. ANY Military family would be well pleased. The proximity to the Parris Island Depot and the area are GREAT!! It was much nicer than any of the area hotels, because we were together to enjoy the time.
