Overall this place is charming and was perfect for what I needed it for. Getting to my twins graduation from bootcamp was so easy and stress free. The area this house is in is also very peaceful. The porch is a great place to sit and read. I was only there for 2 days but my stay was lovely.

We arrived Wednesday afternoon. We took a short ride down to the water where there is a nice boardwalk/river walk and a tower that goes up about 4 or 5 flights of steps that give you a great view of the water and Parris Island. (You have to look for the water tower). Although the kitchen is fully stocked with all cooking utensils, we decided to eat out. The Dockside Inn on 11th street has good seafood, but very overpriced. We also ate at Carolina Ribs (I believe that was the name). Same result, good food but just a bit overpriced. The house was perfect for our needs. Very comfy and homey. My wife and I sat on the screened in porch most of the time. Very nice, quiet neighborhood. The kids had fun playing the many board games that were available. I would highly recommend this house to anyone traveling to the Port Royal area or USMC Graduation.

We traveled down from Ohio for our sons USMC Boot camp graduation on Dec 2, 2011. We were so pleased to have this rental home! It was very clean and roomy and a great place for family and friends to gather to congratulate our new Marine! The BEST part was it was literally 2 minutes to PI entrance - avoided all traffic! The owners were very nice to work with and very accommodating! The huge screened porch would be wonderful in the warmer months - we didn't get to enjoy it as it was unseasonably cold while we were there! GREAT RENTAL! Would recommend to anyone going for PI graduation!

We enjoyed all the comforts of home while here for our newest Marine's graduation. We were really close to the MCRD! With really easy access, no traffic, and to and from in minutes. Also, very easy access to Beaufort and the surrounding area. The house was exactly as described, very comfortable and with lots of room. Local food was great and we found the boardwalk in Port Royal very relaxing. Enjoyed the historic bayfront and downtown Beaufort. My wife and I loved the old homes and architecture. Walking the bayfront and relaxing in one of the restaurants there was a real highlight of our visit. Also, next door neighbor was very friendly and helpful, with info about the area

We want everyone to enjoy their stay at our home in an allergy free environment. As the proud owner of this home I want to reiterate that NO pets are permitted on the property whatsoever, and no smoking is permitted in the house. As our VRBO listing states, there will be an additional $300 cleaning fee to cover the additional expense of cleaning and sanitizing the house, porch and surrounding amenities. We thought it would be helpful and advantageous to post this warning to prevent future guests from incurring the additional cleaning fee. We want everyone to enjoy their stay.

This home in Port Royal is perfect for anyone attending a graduation on Parris Island. The house is in a quiet neighborhood. The access to Parris Island could not get any easier. We found the house super clean, everything in working order and very comfortable. The owners are very responsive to your questions. There were 7 of us with our new marine and we were very comfortable. I highly recommend this property!

We stayed from 5/11/11-5/16. The place was wonderful. Extremely convenient to Parris Island. If you are traveling for a graduation you couldn't find a better location. Great location though even if you are just visiting the area for vacation. It is close to Hunting Island State Park, which is amazing, and not a bad drive to Hilton Head (we hit both in our short time there). The home itself is well maintained and well equiped, you need only bring your personal items and the food you will use. Even the neighbors were friendly!

This was our second time to Parris Island to celebrate a new Marine's graduation. If we were planning a third stay, this would be the place we'd stay! (Unfortunately, we've run out of recruits.) Clean, comfortable, convenient. Would gladly recommend this place to families that are visiting Parris Island or the Beaufort area. Thank you.

We stayed here for our son's graduation from Parris Island. This home is located SO CLOSE to Parris Island and to Beaufort. The house was beautiful and VERY CLEAN!!!! There were 8 of us and we we were very comfortable during our stay. There is plenty of room to spread out. The only regret we had was that we could not stay longer and enjoy the surrounding area which had a lot of things to do. We would definitely book this property again if ever in South Carolina!!! You won't regret a stay at this home! Thank you Roberta!!!

This was our second visit! Weather was hot, but the stay was awesome again. We know our way around a little better and your home is even more convenient than I remember. The neighbors were great -- Jack and Sam were fun--treated us like family. The maintenance guy was quick when we had the air problem and neighbors were awesome. Your were accommodating and quick to help! House was clean and inviting as always. Love this area. We may want to turn it into a lifestyle instead of a vacation. I don't want to leave!

We stayed in this comfortable cozy home for one month. We found the location perfect for our daily outings whether we where on our way to Savannah or heading in the opposite direction Charleston, or off to one of the islands Also, perfect location for access to Parris Island whether you are attending a graduation or visiting family. We were lucky to be here in the fall to take advantage of awesome weather and a multitude of festivals, Octoberfest and art festivals. We just felt right at home and very happy to have such a warm, cozy place to come "home" to, we didn't want to leave and will definitely be coming back.

What a great place to stay! Cozy, comfy and clean is how I would describe this house. After a long day, it was nice to come "home". So much better than staying at a hotel, especially if you have a large group. We stayed from April 6 - 10 and took advantage of the close proximity to Savannah and Charleston to go sightseeing. It was great to be able to get up early on Family Day at Parris Island and be there in five minutes. It was nice to be able to come back to the house after Graduation so my new Marine could shower and change into his civvies. Whether you are going to a Marine graduation or just want to vacation in this area, this is the place to make your "home base"!

We enjoyed out stay for our daughter's March 6th graduation. So much closer to base than any hotel or anything in Beaufort! We beat the traffice both mornings! So nice. The house was easy to find and fit our needs perfectly! We brought our laptop because we knew there was internet. It was great! Plus transaction with owner was easy! No issues at all. I would recommed to anyone.

We we so close that we we able to make a few trips to the base to shop before we left for home. The house was very nice and had everything we needed to BBQ and prepare a few home cooked meals and my son was able to relax. If we ever return to Port Royal we would stay at this home for sure. Thank you Roberta for allowing us the use of this lovely home to welcome our new Marine son home. Mary Kwapich

The house is so close to base, that it made my "stalking" easy. The house had everything you could ask for. My son was able to relax and take a nice LONG, HOT shower- he loved it. The house was perfect for our family of 7 when we went for my brother-in-law's graduation from Parris Island. The house was clean and it was much nicer than any hotel we could have stayed at. And it would have been difficult to be any closer to the entrance of Parris Island without being on the island itself. Would definitely recommend it to anyone going to a graduation at Parris Island.

My family stayed in this house for our sons graduation from Parris Island Sept 2008. We were a group of 7 adults and 2 small children. The house was clean and well stocked. Everything that it is advertised. We were VERY PLEASED!! If we have any other opportunity to stay in the area, we will be reserving again. ANY Military family would be well pleased. The proximity to the Parris Island Depot and the area are GREAT!! It was much nicer than any of the area hotels, because we were together to enjoy the time.
