Trout Creek is located right next to an active trout stream. You'll love the seclusion and the fact that you have a whole mountain in back of you to explore, climb, and enjoy. Two decks are located right at the trout stream with steps going down to the water. Next to the stream is a fire pit for night time stories or roasting marshmallows along the creek.
Enter the chalet and find an enchanting great room with stone fireplace and two sets of glass doors going out to the deck. Enjoy the satellite TV and video library. If you're a reader, we've got you covered! The library has lots of books and the hammock outside is a good place to read them. Imagine enjoying the solitude of the mountains in your own hammock without hearing anything but the birds and the creek.
The chalet has three bedrooms. Upstairs in the loft is a king size bed, bathroom, reading nook, and walk in closet. Downstairs is a bedroom with two twins and across the hall is a third bedroom with a queen size bed. Our mattresses are replaced often, so you can be assured of a good night's sleep, and of course there's another full bathroom is downstairs.
The chalet has a laundry room and complete upscale kitchen. There's even a waffle iron.
Outside you'll find horseshoes, a hiking trail, and total privacy. Grab a hiking stick and head on up the mountain to explore! Grab your fishing pole and go after some trout!
Should you desire to eat outside, there's a Weber grill, picnic table, and the supplies you'll need.
Trout Creek has lots of folks who return year after year. It's located in an unspoiled part of Appalachia which also happens to have more to do in it than anywhere else. Within a short drive you can swim in a pristine lake, go whitewater rafting, ride a horse, climb a mountain, visit the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, and more. A week is not nearly enough to enjoy it.

Year Purchased: 2004
Bill is an engineer and I'm a retired teacher. We have a big family that likes nature, hiking, fishing, and enjoying the great outdoors. Both of us love the mountains. Being Floridians, we like the change of scenery from flat land and palm trees to mountains, cooler weather, and lush green forests that the Smokies provide. We are thrilled when our grandkids are able to come up to the mountains and experience camp fires, marshmellow roasts, hiking, and nature.
Why the Owner Chose Robbinsville
Western North Carolina is perfect for us. We like whitewater rafting, hiking, fishing, and communicating with nature. This area has more of what we come to the mountains for...seclusion, natural splendor, less people, more things to do, etc. We didn't want to be in the middle of a lot of tourism; we already have that in Florida. We wanted a place to get away from it all. We found it here...a little piece of paradise.
The Unique Benefits of this Chalet
When we are here, we like to fish, listen to the trout stream, plant flowers, and beautify the property. We enjoy hiking up to the top of the mountain in back of us, or chilling out in the hammock, or feeding the birds. The road is private, there's nothing to see but the forest and creek. It's the best place to feel one with nature.
