Located in a trendy area on the end of an alley bordering the tree lined Canal St Martin. This furnished loft, 150 m2 (ap. 1,610 sq.ft) loft is located on the ground floor of an ancient factory built an the end of the 19th century. The apartment entrance open into the main room and the open kitchen and a corridor leads to the separate toilette..
In the 70 m2 (780sq. ft) main room, is the leaving area, with 2 double size sofas, 3 armchairs, a coffee table, a closet, and a large bookshelf. Another part is the office area with a desk and a chair, some bookshelves.
The open kitchen is fully equipped. A large wooden dining table separates the open kitchen from the living area.
A first staircase leads to the first 25 m2 (265sq. ft) mezzanine, which has a bay window with eastern exposure : here is the bedroom area, which is furnished with a double size bed. There is an open bathroom with a large bathtub topped by a showerhead, a washbasin and many plants. There is a second staircase which has a bay window western exposure, a queen bed and a lavabo (washbowl).
The nearest metro station is République (line 3, 5, 8 , 9 ,11

Travelled from Australia with 2 kids (10 & 12) and loved this wonderful, whimsical apartment. Our hosts were gracious and accommodating, the place is quiet yet central and easy to get around Paris from. The weekend flea market along the canal, local cafes and a supermarket a few metres up the road. The apartment is so interesting it takes you to another world. Could not recommend it more highly.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, tourists without a car, families with young children.

We really enjoyed our second stay in this spacious loft. It provides a serene retreat from the bustle of the city, while being centrally located and an easy launching place for all parts of the city. The atmosphere inside is truly unusual, surrounded by excellent and unique pieces of African sculpture and art. There is an ambience of light and green plants. The very well equipped kitchen enabled us to cook elaborate meals of great Parisian treats. Good appliances. We will continue to come back whenever we can to this lovely and restful setting. Also of interest is the wonderful butterfly collection and the great library which is almost a work of art in itself with complex visual texture of the many diverse books on the shelves.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car.

This place is a delight, open & airy, incredibly well located, and Jean Marc and his wife couldn't be more wonderful to deal with. (He even sent us recommended restaurants in locations in eastern France where we were staying prior to Paris.)It was VERY quiet, even with the windows open, and a far, far cry from the tiny, dark apartments we've rented before. (The ONLY drawback is that the loft is clearly home to smokers, but we used air freshener spray and it was fine.) If you stay here, be sure to go to the small creperie around the corner. Go out the gate to your left, then left at the street beyond MacDonald's. It's a couple shops up on the left.
