Will be coming back again

As cyclists we came to Sacramento to essentially cycle all over the place. The garden apartment was the prefect place for us with enough space to relax after long days in the saddle. The back garden area was a great space to dine with the background soothing noise from the fountain and low lights from the gardens. The bed is very comfortable especially after long days. The full kitchen made it easy to make meals in the morning and a couple of dinners. I have to say location location. Close enough to the American river trail and close enough to downtown was prefect for the shorter days in the saddle. The grounds are secure for our bikes and Robert & Wende made us feel very welcome. Thank you for great place to stay.

This garden apartment was just what was needed while visiting our first grandchild! It was truly a "home away from home" for us! Everything was immaculate and fully supplied with any amenities that could possibly be needed for a stay in the best part of Sacramento. The owners couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating! We'll definitely be back!

Owner response:Thank you for your thoughtful posting. We look forward to your next visit and another glimps of your beautiful grand daughter.

Karen and Keith are rested and relaxed!

In June 2010 my husband and I stayed at the comfortable and lovely Garden Apartment for a week while we visited friends and family in the Sacramento/Davis area. What a treat! The apartment is situated in a gorgeous Sacramento neighborhood suitable for walking and easy access to restaurants, grocery stores and banks. Spanish architecture and the lush garden courtyard made our stay in the apartment feel like a retreat: an excellent respite for our busy days. We began each day with a neighborhood walk and each evening we enjoyed the apartment looking out on the courtyard garden. The owners were kind and responsive. We highly recommend it for others!

We stayed in this lovely apartment during our visit to Sacramento for our granddaughter's birthday. We plan to make it our "home away from home" on future visits. It is clean, comfortable and well maintained. Beautiful patio and great location. Last but not least....Wende and Robert are delightful hosts.

This is a wonderful place to stay! I stayed for 8 nights and I hated to leave. This guest house is clean, neat, beautifully furnished and decorated, and extremely comfortable. The garden is spectacular. My favorite restaurant in Sacramento is about two or three blocks away, along with coffee shops, other good restaurants and shopping. I'm looking forward to staying there again.

Owner response:Thank you Pat for taking the time to enter a review. We enjoyed having you as our guest and look forward to your next visit.

I began by renting this fabulous pieds-a-terre for my first month at a new job in Sacramento. I stayed for an entire year!!The space is so brilliantly laid out and beautifully decorated that it seems like much more than 600sq.'...especially with the lovely patio constantly filled with flowers and the sound of a nearby fountain. The neighborhood is the best...near restaurants, shops, downtown and the Capitol, and major routes to all the surrounding countryside towns and recreation. If you're coming to or near Sacramento...this is where you'll want to stay. Laura Chick

In every respect, this cozy place exceeds expectations. Yes, in regard to welcome, hospitality, comfort, appointments, a host of amenities, and all else, it goes beyond what one hopes for and sometimes fails to find. We enjoyed a week, with easy visits to Sutter's Fort, The Capitol, the Train Museum, the Auto Museum, Old Town, the Delta King, and to St. Paul's and Trinity Cathedral, both worth a visit to see the famous window or to go to services. Our warmest thanks to the hosts at this safe, warm, peaceful, and convenient spot.

We spent over a week at this lovely apartment in March. It is just as described and very spacious for 3 adults. Even the convertible sofa bed was comfortable for our 6 ft 19 year old son. We arrived well after midnight, but the area was very well lit and getting into the apartment at that time wasn't a problem. Wende and Robert are very knowledgeable about the area and were very helpful with directions and tips to make our visit even better. There are many guidebooks in the apartment which were also a plus. We would not only recommend it, but would also stay here again if we return to Sacramento.

We just returned from our stay at the Garden Apartment, March 2009. We were very pleased with the pristine exterior and interior of the cozy apartment that is nestled in a quiet well-groomed garden setting. The owner was very hospitable and we will definitely look forward to another visit.

We stayed at the Sacramento Garden Apartment for 5 days in January 09. We found the apartment to be smart, meticulously well maintained, with quality appointments and beautiful artwork. It is quiet and private and the hosts are friendly and helpful. It is within walking distance to several restaurants and cafes and close to other shops. We would highly recommend it.
