We have stayed here for 1 1/2 weeks each of the last two summers and are getting ready to book next year. This is a wonderful vacation home. Our family of four had plenty of space, including a bunk bed for the kids. The house is immaculate and modern, with an updated kitchen. Of course the location is the best part, a two minute walk to the beach even loaded with gear. Downtown Capitola is a few minute walk away and a quaint place to hang out and relax. We enjoyed Wednesday evening concerts at the beach and many excellent restaurants, including Shadowbrook which is a five minute walk up the hill next to the house. We particularly like having a washer/dryer in the garage. This summer we brought bikes, and the garage provided nice storage. While this house is on a busy street, the noise did not bother us and there is a stop sign just down from the house with a cross walk for safe walks to the beach. I cannot wait to go back!

This house was super close to the beach, and late at night you can even hear the surf. The facility is comfortable and clean with plenty of room for all. The backyard/patio offers an additioal space for BBQing and relaxing. We found many reasons to love Capitola during our stay!

We had a wonderful Easter vacation! The house was great and had everything we needed. The kids had an Easter egg hunt on the beach and we wanted to stay for another week! Thanks for sharing your home!

My family (2 parents, 2 kids ages 2 & 6) had a wonderful time at this house. Michael was so helpful and responsive in making all the arrangements. The house is in great condition, with a pack-and-play and bunk beds for the kids and a nice sized room for the adults. Loads of sand toys and towels. Best of all -- a 5 minute walk to the beach (and even a wagon you can use to haul your stuff) and to town. We felt that the trade-off of being on a busy street was more than worth it. We all hope we can stay here again!

This is a perfect house in a fabulous location! We enjoyed our week long stay in Capitola and plan to stay here for future vacations by the beach. The house was clean and well decorated, the kitchen was updated, the views were fantastic and the location was wonderful with the village and beach only steps away!

Thank goodness for such a wonderful beach house, right in the best part of Capitola. We needed a place to stay for a longer term, being in-between homes. The owners of "Capitola Getaway" were very attentive to all our needs and they were always prompt if there was a question. The rental is by far one of the cutest, tastefully decorated, vacation rentals in Capitola. Probably the cleanest as well. If you want a classy, enjoyable stay in Capitola, then this would be the vacation home for you.

We had an amazing, relaxing yet adventurous stay at this charming cottage. The location is perfect, just a few steps from the beach and shops of Capitola; you will be put to sleep with the sound of the waves washing up on shore. We have two kids 6 and 3 years old so we also did some day trips to Moss Landing where you will see abundant wildlife at the Elkhorn Slough and to Santa Cruz to the Seymour Marine Discovery Center. This is a perfect get away spot for families or couples. Hopefully next time we can go without the kids for some adult time.

We found this property literally at the last minute when we decided we wanted something different than a hotel. We couldn't have made a better choice! The place is so close to Capitola Village it was easy to run back for supplies...even with kids in tow. Toby (6)enjoyed his time here so much, he was in tears as we left the place. It's clear Michael truly cares about the property and it is very well maintained.

This home is in a wonderful location just a few steps to the beach and village. Our family enjoyed our stay. The house was more then we had expected and would stay here again. We highly recommend this vacation home for your next stay in Capitola...but if you want to make margaritas...you should bring a blender as this seems to be the only thing missing from this beach house.
