First time on Sanibel Island and will definitely be returning. Sea Shells Condo was fantastic! Clean and comfortable with all the necessary amenities. The staff at the office were helpful and friendly. The walk to the beach was 5 minutes with the use of the condo's beach buggy. The beach was beautiful! So many shells to collect and use to make great beach creatures. The vacation was a 10! Would recommend this condo to anyone. We will be back! Thank you! The Wohls- Clifton Park, NY

Great location, nice condo!

My wife and 15 year old daughter just spent a week in the condo. It was our second time on Sanibel but first time at Sea Shells. The location was great. The last time we were on Sanibel we stayed closer to Blind Pass but found that area to be a bit isolated and much less accessible by bike ( the bike paths are a great feature of the island). Mike's condo is great, everything was as advertised. The pictures represent it fairly. If you read reviews of Sea Shells you will notice that the word clean comes up a lot. That was my first impression of this condo. Clean, well looked after, with nice accessories. The kitchen is well equipped, the TVs are new, the furniture is nice. The beds are comfortable. Be aware that the beach is about a 10 minute walk but once you learn how, it is easy to load a chair on one of the big bikes (rented at the office) and you can get there in 2 minutes. There is also a cart if you'd rather walk your stuff over. Overall, a great time. There are a few stairs so probably not good for mobility challenged folks.

Our stay could not have been better. It was so clean and welcoming and had everything you could need. The bath and beach towels were lush. The beach buggy saved us one day when we went to the beach. We could have never carried all the "things." The owner is very helpful too. It was a last minute find, and a find it was! We definitely will go back.

I had a wonderful time with my husband, daughter and grandson while vacationing on Sanibel. The condo we stayed in was very comfortable and clean. They had a pack and play and high chair put in the condo before we arrived for my grandson upon request. Having two full baths was very convenient. What I appreciated most was the pillow top mattress in the master bedroom, I slept very well at night, not usually the case when traveling. There were beach chairs, towels, toys, and coolers in the unit which we brought to the beach in the cart provided that was very helpful. It was a pleasure working with the owner Mike whom was very quick to respond to any questions we had. I would definately stay here again when I return to Sanibel.

Condo is just great to relax and have fun with kids. Beach is 5 minutes walk away only. EVERYTHING you need is provided for : beach umbrella, board games, DVD, plastic dinnerware for picnic, beach towels, ...you do not have to buy anything. We enjoyed our stay so much, biking and swimming. Place is very safe for kids. Thanks once again!

This condo had everything to help make our vacation comfortable and relaxing. Comfortable beds, couches, etc, space for everyone to move around, and extras (movies, games, and our favorite Jimmy Buffett CD). The walk to the beach isn't bad, pool is nice, and AC works perfectly. Location is great, and the beach is beautiful. We hope to make it back here again someday! Thanks so much!

Just want to say about the fantastic time we had at your apartment. It was exceptionally comfortable and had everything that made our holiday complete. It was very well maintained and had all that we required and more.The air condtioning was very welcome after being out all day in 90 degree heat.It was also nice to have little extras like salt/pepper which had been left by previous guests. We too added to these things by leaving what we did not need for others to use, such as shampoos and sun creams. Everyone around was extremely helpful and polite and we loved the ospreys nested just outside. The apartment is in a lovely area, and facilities were only a short drive away eg shops, restaurants etc. and a visit to the Mucky Duck to watch the sunset was a must.Civilized paradise I called it. We had to write a review because we have never rented a condo before and were pleasantly surprised at how smoothly everything went. We couldn’t have asked for a better family vacation. The condo was very clean and the grounds of the complex were beautifully maintained. The kitchen was well stocked, we cooked many times during our 10-day vacation there and not once needed something we couldn’t find. The linens were also great (super beach towels especially) and the master bed very comfy. The pool was warm and clean and lots of chairs and tables to sit at. The BBQs were like brand new and we used them several times. Thank you for the large selection of DVDs, games and beach toys; our oldest loved them. If we visit again we will definitely be in touch with you as the location to the beach was great - only a 7-minute walk (and that was with a 3 year old!). Having laundry on-site was a great plus too, just don’t do in the morning because the cleaners will be using them and don’t worry about quarters – the office can sell you a roll! Shela (property manager) was great to work with and provided a complementary pack n' play and a highchair for our stay. Mike, thanks for a fantastic vacation Longland Family Komoka, Ontario, Canada

You were a pleasure to deal with,your unit is CLEAN and well equipped for all the fun we could have. This rental was everything listed and more. I have booked a few condos in Florida over the last couple of years, but this was by far the cleanest (inside and out) & best appointed. We could not have asked for a better owner. Mike ensured we had all the information we needed in order to enjoy our holiday. And if there were any questions he was available via phone or email. All staff and other owners/renters were very friendly and willing to help out with any questions we had about the area. The walk to the beach is 5 minutes max - and worth every step! No one in our party was ready to leave. If we had more vacation time we would still be there. Whether you want to just relax by the pool, hang out at the beach, shop till you drop, or frequent the many bistros in the area, this is the most relaxing place to do it in. I would recommend this to anyone that likes to walk into a vacation rental and feel like they are home. I have recommended it to all my friends & hope to be back myself in the future.

We had to say how very much we enjoyed our stay here. It has to be the best unit in the complex. It is so comfortable and beautifully decorated. The owners are a joy to work with, they just bent over backwards to make our stay go as smoothly as it possibly could. We will absolutely stay here again and would reccomend it to anyone!

Spent a wonderful week in this condo. It had absolutely everything you need from all the kitchen necessities (great blender for making margaritas) to fantastic beach towels. The condo was pristine, the beds were comfy and the TV, DVDs and games were great for rainy afternoons. The management staff were wonderful. Glad for the laundry facilities (bring a roll of quarters) but make sure you go in the late afternoon or evening otherwise the cleaners were using it. The walk to beach isn't bad, but it IS quite a hike when it's hot out. The parking lot is blacktop and the unit is way in the back of the complex so it does get hot. However, if you don't go during the hot summer season, this won't be a problem at all. The grill is behind the office, so not real close either but we certainly used it more than once! The pool was very nice, clean and we loved going from the salty ocean to the "clean" swimming pool (after a shower to wash off the salt and sand). There were tons of beach necessities like umbrellas, noodles, sand toys, coolers and those wonderful beach carts. I would most certainly stay here again! Mike responded to my questions quickly and was a pleasure. I told my husband that I want to retire on Sanibel Island - absolutely love it there! Highly recommend staying here...all in all our vacation was a "10".

This rental is everything as described...This unit is very clean as well as the entire property! Everyone is very friendly. The walk to the beach is not that bad at all especially with the use of the provided beach carts. You really only need to pack your clothes! We used the laundry facilities which was very clean as well and the washer and dryers all appear to be very new. We have already recommended this unit to friends.

Up to this point, we had never rented a condo on vacation before. This was an incredible experience. This condo had everything we needed for the week. It was clean, spacious and extremely well stocked. Having a kitchen was really nice when it came to preparing meals. There was a bed for our everyone in our family of 5. Two bathrooms was very helpful with teenagers. The property is just a short walk to the beach and the beach equipement carts were extremely helpful. The pool was clean and nice. Great Experience overall and we would do it again in a heartbeat!!

We were fortunate to book this beautiful condo for a last minute deal. Looking for peace and quiet from our daily grind-we found it here. Mike was so prompt and professional which helped so much. The staff was friendly and helpful as well. The convenience of beach towels, chairs and bike rental on the property made this trip a delight. Would recommend it to others.

I don't usually write reviews, but was compelled to share with other families looking for accomodations on Sanibel.... We have a family of 5 with three kids age 7-11, so comfortable vacation accomodations are not always easy to find. We stayed here for the week of Christmas 2010 and were very pleased at how comfortable we were in this condo. My kids loved the pool, shuffleboard & tennis and the on -site bike rentals. The beach is a SHORT walk and the shelling was great. There are also a ton of kids games and movies to watch if you can't get outside. Overall, we were very pleased and would definitely stay here again!

Oct. 16th - Oct. 24th 2010 I have been visiting Sanibel since the 70's and this was the first time we had ever stayed across the street from the beach. The short walk wasn't a problem at all especially with the beach carts in tow. My 8 year old son loved all the games ........there are movies, puzzles, books etc....This condo pretty much had it all and then some. We also liked having the bike rental on the property. The beds are comfortable which was a big plus!! We really felt right at home and do plan to return next June. I was also impressed with Mike ......he is very accomodating and we appreciated him following up with us. We really enjoyed our stay in your condo...very nice!

We recently completed a one week stay in this condo. We found everything and more than we needed to make our stay great. The beach toys were greatly appreciated as well as the nice beach towels. The condo was very quiet, the manager friendly and accommodating, and the new Net Flix was a surprise that we enjoyed. We would definitely stay here again and look forward to bringing our granddaughter. The beach access is close and easy to use.

My wife, granddaughters and I completed a relaxing week in Mike's nicely deocorated and well appointed condo during the first week of August. During the day, we loaded up your beach cart, cooler, beach towels, sand toys and umbrella and headed for a day of fun in the sun. In the evenings, and after a relaxing dinnner prepared in kitchen, (which had all the items needed to prepare a nice dinner), we would play the games, put together puzzels, read childrens books or watched a childrens dvid with the kids, Mike's condo proivided ample ways of entertainment for the children and some great novels for the adults. The king mattress in the bedroom was marvelous. I slept wonderfully. Thanks again Mike for sharing your home with us. I do plan to come back, hopefully this fall! Oh, almost forgot, the employees at the management company on site we extremely accommadating and helpful. Great condo, friendly and personable support staff, made for a great vacation. We have stayed in Sanibel before, so this unit was the best place we ever stayed at for 2 weeks. It was a pleasure, on the eyes and the soul. The decor made you feel relaxed, the rooms were very comfortable and very clean. I felt so at home and relaxed I wanted to live there forever. The Unit #39 is stocked with all fresh items, beach towels, bath towels, kitchen wear, beach items, and movies! Great lay out and 2 Tv's for late night watching. The Seashells just redid the pool area, wonderful. This unit is by far, worth every penny as it is truly a "Home away" from home. Excellent rental, plan on staying there again next year. Thank-you for the special memory, the unit made it stand out as an excellent trip. I would highly recommend this property as it is everything you could ask for and more!

We stayed at this beautiful condo June 11-18 2010 and were very pleased. Very clean and well equipped. The ac was very comfortable which we enjoyed during the heat. Everything we needed was provided including extras like coffee filters. (Ok- you do need to provide your own food and seasonings, condiments and cooking oil). The refrigerator and full size and the microwave is normal size. LCD flat screen TV and dvd in bedroom and living room. Two bathrooms was also very convenient. The owners were extremely responsive and very helpful helping us plan our vacation on this beautiful island. The management staff at the condo were also very friendly and accommodating. The outside grille was nice for cooking burgers and steaks. My wife and I highly recommend this unit and would not hesitate renting again.

Had a great time on our recent Sanibel vacation at Sea Shells of Sanibel in unit #39. There was everything you could possibly need for a home away from home experience. And the newly renovated pool & pool deck was beautiful. This unit featured plenty of beach toys, chairs, & accesories; a fully-equipped kitchen and 2 bathrooms; and plenty of games and DVDs to keep us entertained -- my son particularly enjoyed watching the Backyardigans DVD at least 4 times! We will definitely consider staying here again in the future. The rental transaction and payment was also very easy and the owners are very conscientious about keeping contact with you and answering questions via e-mail. Thanks for an easy, enjoyable vacation experience.

We loved our week on Sanibel Island. Our unit was spotless and very well equipped with everything one might need. The walk to the beach was an easy 5 minutes. After a morning in the sun on the beach, we made use of the heated pool in the afternoons, which was very refreshing. We also hired bicycles and cycled around the island. Lots of restaurants and shops and friendly people. The owners were most helpful right from the first communication.

A nicely situated condo close to the beach only 7 minutes away. A wonderfully well equipped kitchen, everything you need for the beach and the pool. We enjoyed the short drive to Captiva and the Key Lime Bistro. Rented a boat from Jenson's on Captiva and ate breakfast on Cabbage Key. Enjoyed beautiful sunsets at the Blind pass, and shelling every morning at sunrise on the beach. Great customer service and nice and clean. A quiet location, we had the pool to ourselves. We recommended this spot and would like to go again.
