My wife and I were in Galena for a wedding on September 26,2009. We rented this house with two other couples who were also attending this wedding. We all had a great time staying in this house. The house was very charming. Very clean! There was plenty of room for all of us. We all plan on coming back in the summer 2010.

Family Christmas Getaway

What a wonderful home! Our two college-age children and their friends spent 4 nights during Christmas break. The home was very, very clean and the kitchen was very well equipped. The owner was a delight to work with and was very prompt at returning a dvd we left in the dvd player. Our family does not like to stay at the same place twice - but we would consider staying here again! Thanks so much Iris!

The Best Wedding Gift Ever!!!!!

I was married back in May 2008 and I received a weekend getaway at this property as my Wedding Gift. I finally used the gift this year in July 2010. My husband and I decided to go down for the weekend to celebrate my birthday. It was absolutely wonderful!!!! This property provides all the amenities you could possible think of. The home is immaculate and makes you feel right at home. The owners have provided everything you need. All you have to do is pack your bags and go. There will be a manual waiting for you upon your arrival....it’s a must read!! They give you directions to the local Super Wal-Mart. "My favorite store." Once you visit the Wal-Mart you don't have to worry about buying food your entire stay. My husband and I purchased breakfast food and meat to throw on the grill. And yes...they have a gas grill located on the deck outside of the family room. They even had a movie in their movie collection that I was trying to find for my husband for over a year....what are the chances!!! I was very, very impressed with my stay at this property and I can't wait to visit again. I was able to do things I always wanted to do which included horseback riding and visiting a wine vineyard (The owners also include brochures for activities you can do during your stay at Galena). Although it was just a weekend getaway; it was one of the most relaxing and enjoyable getaways I have ever had. Thank you for a wonderful wedding gift!!!

This is the second time at this location. I have found Galena to be a welcoming place. This home is clean, comfortable and provides everything you could ask for in weekend getaway. The environment is cozy and makes you feel like you are in your own home. My family and I felt safe, secure and free to enjoy everything the surroundings had to offer. Like I said, I will be a REGULAR customer. Whenever I tire of the hustle and bustle of the city, I know I can come here to get away from it all. The accomodations are affordable and you get MORE than your money's worth in terms of the overall experience. I truly had a good time and will return. . . again and again. Try it out. You won't be disappointed.

We were very pleased with this rental. We are six ladies in for a girls getaway. The 3 bathrooms were a bonanza. We all had our privacy with the 4 bedrooms. The house is super clean and very comfortable. All the amenities are provided, tv,dvd,cd player, dishwasher etc. The large dining table was great to play games as well as eating. The owner is great about communicating with renters, and we would recommend the home to potential renters.

My sisters and our daughters stayed at this home last weekend. It is a beautiful home exactly as described. It was more than adequate for the 7 of us and was clean, comfortable and centrally located to everything we wanted to see. We had no idea when we rented this home that it was the same weekend as "Ladies Getaway Weekend" in Galena. We had a wonderful time shopping, meeting wonderful people and having some fabulous meals. We especially enjoyed "Spikes" restaurant at Eagle Ridge Resort. We had such a good time that we plan on making this an annual trip. Hopefully, we will be able to rent this property again next time we come to Galena. Our compliments to the owner and thank you for letting us use your home for our family reunion weekend.

Me and my college girlfriends enjoyed our stay in this wonderful 4 bedroom home. It was very spacious and comfortable. We joined for a spa weekend, May 2009, and could not have picked a better rental property to stay in. The owners were very accomodating to our needs.......

This gorgeous, spacious home was an inviting place to spend a few days and get away from the city to relax. The location was perfect, in a peaceful and scenic area. It was only a short distance to town where we enjoyed the wonderful shops and the fantastic restaurants. Since the weather was cold, we spent most of our indoor time enjoying the jacuzzi, reading, watching t.v. and relaxing in the spacious quarters. They were clean and well-stocked with magazines and things to do. But we would definitely want to visit again during warmer weather to take advantage of the outdoor deck and numerous activities in the beautiful surroundings and in this impressive property. It had everything we needed to feel at home. Highly recommended.
