  My husband and I have stayed in this unit twice in the past 2 years. Both times found the unit clean and to the specifications on the website.(it has been re-decorated since the photos on the website) We found it to be very quiet. Few children.The view of Orient Beach is unparalleled, with views of other islands. Fun to watch the kite and wind surfers. Accessibility to the beach is a 2 minute descent on stone steps. The large swimming pool and deck have been renovated, and it is great to sit there above the beach.The unit itself is a studio with King size bed, and nicely decorated. We had maid service 2-3 times within the week. All appliances in the kitchen were modern and in working order. Television service was fine, CNN International in English as well as French. Limited additional English channels. No DVD or CD players in the unit. ZuZu the owner is always available to assist, and her family owns three lovely restaurants in Orient Bay where you can contact her as well. Parking is a bit of a challenge, but well worth having to walk a bit from the two available lots. The pizzeria in the complex is a great spot for a perfect pizza at the end of a long beach day. Great to have a bite on the balcony with a glass of wine and look at the stars. I would definitely recommend this unit to friends and family, and hope to return.

  This is the third time we have rented from ZuZu. we arrived on 2/7/13 and met by ZuZu who kindly helped us with our luggage. Zu Zu is pleasant, professional and easy to work with. The unit we stayed in was clean and comfortable. ZuZu also provides housekeeping service that cmes 2 times per week to clean. The view from the balcony was awesome. It was so quiet and peaceful at Mt Vernon. We enjoy Orient Beach it is a lovely beach to walk round trip I would estimate is 2 to 2 1/2 miles. We are beach people so we never used the pool but every morning when we went for our walk some one was always cleaning it. Mount Vernon is on a hillside so there is steps and inclines but it posed no problem for us. We didn't rent a car because we enjoy staying right on orient beach. we left on 2/21/13 and hope to be back in 2014. Thank You ZuZu for sharing your paradise studio apartment.

  This was the third time we have stayed in St. Martin and this was the best place of all. Granted it is on a hillside, but I thought that was clear. The views are consequently wonderful. The unit was very clean and well-appointed and inexpensive. Zuzu was perfectly polite and met us on time, even though she was sick at the time. If she offered the folks a full refund, I don't know why they didn't take it and go elsewhere. I wouldn't think it would be that hard to find another place to stay in St. Martin -- altho maybe not at this inexpensive price. Unless the hillside is a problem for you physically I would certainly highly recommend this rental to you.

  We stayed in the condo mid-January 2013 and had a very enjoyable time. Our uppermost requirement this trip was for a good view of the ocean and this unit excelled. While a view of the pool was not a requirement, the view is exactly as in the picture on the website - over the tops of another building - but with the view and constant sounds of the ocean - who wants to look at the pool. Listing is as described - pictures on the wall are different from the photos but that did not matter. TV worked fine although limited in channels if you are used to multiple choices, CD/DVD player was available but we did not use that. Unit was clean and neat. Towels and linens changed during the week and unit cleaned; everything was clean and neat. There is a roll down shutter on the patio that keeps the days heat out and adds security. The owner answered all questions we had and I would recommend this unit to any couple. We were met on time as agreed and had no problems the entire week. While the water took a bit of time to get very hot, it was hot and plentiful - thankfully we did not experience water outages that can happen in the islands which the owners have no control over. If you want a relaxing time in St. Martin this condo is hard to beat. The pool is beautiful and lots of cover and plentiful chairs and cushions - so you can stay and relax all day long (which is mostly all we did). The beach is literally steps away and it is a great walk to stroll from one end of the beach to the other and back (fun to watch the 'just off the cruise boat' tourist who come to see the sights) as well as great exercise. Keep in mind that this unit, like all Mont Vernon units, do require some steps to be climbed. Parking is crowded in the front but we have always found ample parking in the rear. Plenty of great restaurants nearby (Palm Beach, El Rancho), the bakery on the entrance road is great and could be habit forming, large grocery store with liquor and beer nearby, and Grand Case has some the best restaurants around.

  This will be the fourth time we have rented a condo from ZuZu and Alain. My wife and I love the view from our balcony of the beach, St. Barths, and the sunrises in the morning! It is truly a wonderful site. The condo is clean and very confortable, with a well stocked kitchenet. The maid cleans the condo evey other day which is included in the price of the rental and would cost you $30.00 for each cleaning at other units. The pool is clean and one of the largest on the island. There are chairs by the pool, and the owners provide clean towels evey other day. Just a short 5 minute walk down to the beach is Palm Beach Bar and Restaurant, which has the best food in Orient Beach. If you eat a lunch at Palm Beach, there is no charge for the beach chairs which would cost you $10.00 each at other beach bars. You will need to rent a car when you stay at the Mont Vernon Condos. We rent from AutoMax. They are based out of the Orient Beach area and will meet you at the airport, or at your hotel with your car. There are two parking areas. Depending on the time of year, "Peak" season can be hard to find a place on the upper lot. There is a Security Guard that checks the lots and grounds day and night. We will be returning to St. Martin in March and can't wait!

  Didn't get condo as advertised in #179417, no direct pool view, dirty beach full of sea weed, exhausting walk to condo,steep hills to walk and parking is a joke. Vrbo listing states no dogs allowed but ZuZu let her dog run thru entire condo, no CD player as listed, no clock, no water pressure all week, even had a day without water. ZuZu did offer to refund money and leave us stranded with no place to stay upon our arrival. Found owner to be very rude. Would not recommend to anyone. Definitely not a place for someone with bad back or poor physical conditions. Beach was cleaned up on our last day there. Will never be back and don't recommend. A refund of at least half our money is in order.

  Owner response: YES, AT ARRIVAL YOU TOLD ME IT S TOO FAR FROM THE BEACH ,FROM THE POOL ETC SO IF YOU DON T LIKE I REFUND THE DEPOSIT I HAVE LOTS OF CUSTOMERS COMING EVERY YEAR IN THIS APARTMENT & IN THIS COMPLEX ,I HAVE 5 CONDOS THERE & THEY ARE VERY HAPPY... SO I DON T UNDERSTAND IT S CLOSE TO THE POOL (ANTIGA BUILDING) THE PARKING IS THE SAME FOR EVERYBODY IN THE COMPLEX THE BEACH IN FRONT IS THE SAME FOR ALL THE CUSTOMERS AT MONT VERNON HOTEL THE PRESSURE WATER WAS DUE TO WORK ON PIPELINE ON THE STREET(I CAN NOT DO ANYTHING) IT HAPPENS IN CARRIBBEAN I WILL ASK THE LAST CUSTOMERS IN THIS APARTMENT & COMPLEX ,TO WRITE A REVIEW& WE WILL SEE WHAT THEY WILL WRITE YES I WAS RUDE ,AND I TOLD MY HUSBAND WHEN I WENT BACK HOME ,THAT WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD TO BE RUDE & EVEN YOU DON T LIKE DOGS , MY LITTLE PUDDLE 14 years old, just followed me in the apartment & you put her outside ... NO COMMENT ..... ZUZU

  We have stayed on St.Martin too many times to count. Our experience with ZuZu and Alain could not have been better. The condo was clean, fully loaded with kitchen equipment, and the bathroom was pristine. One couldn't ask for a better view of the best beach on St. Martin, only 2 minute walk from the front door. If the beach isn't enough for you, the swimming pool and deck are first rate. A great boulangerie down the hill offers great croissanst and pain au chocolat. Be sure to ask ZuZu about their fantastic catamaran, Alain is a first rate captain. They are always available for questions and her children own some terrific restaurants on the island. Rancho del Sol has one of the best views on the island. We would return there any time. Highly recommended.

  This was our second year staying in studio apt.. Great location, clean, and very quiet. Beach and pool 3 min. walk. Great view from balcony. Sould rent car while staying here, with grocery store and restaurants nearby. Cleaning service w/towels approx. every other day. Water and weather were wonderful. Zuzu easy to work with, and always accomodating. Just a great place and way to spend a vacation .Mount Vernon also has 24hr security. Grand Case has full range of restaurants, plus several at beach, and a few nearby, including Rancho del Sol, which has a great view while dining. Again, just all we could ask for.

  Beautifully updated immaculate studio with amazing view of Orient Bay. Steps away from beach. Pool area has been renovated as well. Zuzu is a pleasure to deal with and promptly answers any emails. Frequent maid service was a bonus . Having wifi in the apartment would make it perfect!

  We just spent 2 wks feb 1 2012 at mt vernon st martin....place was great has everything you could want....very very clean...3 min walk to the beach and amazing pool...lots of lounge chairs and mats....ideal location....small convenient store and pizza shop right on site...zuzu is a pleasure to deal with...answers email promptly...

  Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.
