Do not get stuck on an overcrowded, narrow beach this summer. This gorgeous, newly built home is in Holgate at the less populated part of the island. It is only 8 houses from the beach and 5 from the bay. Because the island is so narrow and Holgate is only one mile from the end of the island, it is very quiet, the beaches are not crowded and there are no traffic lights - with Long Beach Boulevard easy to cross for the kids walking to the beach. Yet it is a three minute ride to the attractions of Beach Haven.
This summer home was completed in April 2008 and features reverse living with a vaulted ceiling living room on the second floor, big screen TV over a fireplace, dining room and gorgeous kitchen, along with a deck for the grill and a guest bathroom. All of the furniture in the home was brand new from Pottery Barn in 08. It is one of only a handful of houses on the island where you can stand in the kitchen and see the ocean and the bay.
The third floor roof deck is 20x20 and is accessible from the second floor. It has the most amazing views, especially at sunset. It comes with two lounge chairs and a six person table and umbrella.
The first floor has three bedrooms and two baths with all new furniture. The master bedroom has a queen size bed, the second bedroom has a queen size bed, and the third bedroom has two sets of bunk beds and sleeps four. The couch on the second floor opens up to sleep two more people if needed. Please note that the bedrooms are small without rooms for dressers, but the closets are furnished with built in drawers and a mirror.
The ground floor has a one car a garage with an automatic garage door opener. It also has a lounge/play area with a ping-pong table !!, old-style tv to hook up video games to and where the kids can hang out.
The driveway is paved (not shown on picture) and has parking for one more car. Overnight parking is allowed on the street as well.
The house will come with six bikes (4 adult; 2 child), and six beach badges . No need to lug down your bicycles!! You must bring your own bed linens, bath towels and beach towels. We will supply blankets, quilts and pillows. The house is fully stocked with glasses/dishes/pots pans and silverware. Please note there is a washer/dryer on the premises.
The house is the south facing side of a duplex with lots of natural light. The other duplex owner stays all summer so we do ask that you keep the noise down and respect the other owner's privacy.

Our family could not have asked for better accommodations if we tried! This beach house went beyond our expectations. It was extremely comfortable, clean, fully stocked with everything you would need to feel at home and you definitely got that homey feeling. The bicycles were appreciated as was all the beach equipment. The upper deck has the best view in the neighborhood and the sunsets were some of the best we ever saw. We are former New Yorkers and currently live in Scottsdale, Arizona. We totally recommend this to everyone who wants a house with comfort and class on LBI! Thanks to the owners for letting us share your lovely home for our vacation.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this property. The house was like new, VERY clean and tastefully furnished. Location is quiet which was exactly what we needed (We live in the hustle and bustle of New York City). The beach and bay is a short walk down the block. The owner provides all the beach amenities as well as fishing/crabbing gear. We caught over a dozen crabs in a day at the bulkhead on the bay. We BBQed while enjoying direct ocean views and watching sunsets on the rooftop deck. We had fun biking around town too. We look forward to renting again.
