Southern Shores is a charming 2800 square foot home decorated for comfort and pleasure. It accommodates 14 guests with 5 bedrooms and 5 and a half baths. It offers a beautifully furnished private master bedroom suite upstairs, with gulf and bay views, and sleeps four (king bed and sleeper sofa)and has its own private balcony. It also has a large, private sitting area with a TV, VCR, and DVD player, and a small kitchenette with a beverage refrigerator, coffee maker, and microwave. The master bath is oversized with a Jacuzzi tub and private toilet area.
There is a bunk room upstairs that sleeps four with its own private bath. Downstairs are another master bedroom with a brass king size bed, a charming queen bedroom, and a lovely bedroom with two twin beds, each with its private bathroom. There are a total of 5 TVs, and 3 DVD/VCRs in the home.
There are Gulf views from the enormous family room and lots of comfortable, overstuffed furniture, including 2 sleeper sofas. The open kitchen and dining room (also with gulf views) make an ideal setting for families to mix and mingle. This great cook's kitchen has granite countertops and a huge island with four barstools. The large oak dining table can seat up to 14 people.
The entertainment center is filled with classic and current family-friendly games, movies, books, and magazines to ensure a fun-filled week for everyone.
On-site amenities include 2 large swimming pools, tennis court/basketball court and a private neighborhood gazebo just across from Southern Shores, all for residents only.
Southern Shores is a beautiful, well-appointed home located in the new 35 home private Gulf-side neighborhood, Heritage Shores. We are uniquely situated between the dazzling white sands of the Gulf of Mexico and the idyllic views of Mobile Bay, and are just steps away from the beach. Nearby are world class golf courses, Bon Secour Nature Preserve, Fort Morgan (175 year old fort played the central role in the Battle of Mobile Bay during the War Between the States, and was in active duty during the Spanish American War and World Wars I and II), and lots of shopping. Many great restaurants featuring local favorites are nearby.

A wonderfully charming, spacious home, Southern Shores is the perfect house for a large family to spend a week at the beach. The home is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, and is directly in front of the two swimming pools and the tennis courts. The front porch is amazingly comfortable, perfect for coffee in the mornings and to watch the sun set in the evenings. The house is situated only a short walk to the beach, so this really is the perfect beach house. A wonderfully stocked kitchen makes life easy for Mom! Our family will visit again and again.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

The photo's don't do this home justice. It's very, very spacious, ideally located across the street from the pool and a few steps to the beach. All the decks were perfect for watching sunrise and sunsets. Every roomy bedroom had it's own bath, it was exactly the right house for the 12 of us. Rental neighbors down the street said they had stayed in 5 different homes in Heritage Shores, and this one is by far the nicest. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful home with us, I'm sure we'll be back.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, age 55+, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

Where can you take 7 adults and 7 children on vacation? We found the perfect place at Southern Shores! This home was built for a crowd, but has lots of space to get away to yourself. The five private bedroons, each with a bath were fantastic.The kitchen is ready to cook large meals. The washer, dryer and ice maker never gave up working. The pool across the street was perfect between beach trips and the beach was only a quick walk, even for our little guys. We hope to return because we just scratched the surface on our "things to do" list at Gulf Shores. A lot of thought was put into building this great beach home. Thanks Trudy! You make a great landlady.Recommended for: Families with young children, families with teenagers, adventure seekers, girls getaway.

What a beautiful place. Our families have vacationed many places. Your home has been voted number one. The beach, pools, and basketball court provided entertainment for all. What an awesome, wonderful week with our family! We loved the house--everything about it. What a great place to laugh and enjoy our daughters and family! The grandbabies loved it. Thank you for such a wonderful place for a family vacation. We have taken family vacations before, but have never found the perfect place to stay altogether, until now. This was a great house to spend a week at the beach while enjoying each other's company. With five small kiddos running around we found everything we could possibly need and then some. The kids loved the bunk beds and sitting at the big table playing card games. The week was beautiful weather and we all enjoyed our days going from the pool to the beach and then back here for family dinners. We will definitely be back!Did you find this review helpful? The first family vacation for us! We have all had a wonderful time at this house. We loved the well-stocked kitchen, and have certainly gotten full use out of the washer/dryer and dishwasher. The opportunity for all of us to relax and unwind was well needed and enjoyed. We enjoyed lots of laughs with dinners here and out on the town (esp. Tacky Jacks.) Could we have had any more shrimp? The games were also a lot of fun. We were glad to see the zoo. The beach was fabulous. We will leave here with fond memories of dolphins and excellent waves.Did you find this review helpful? This was a perfect setting for our family get-together for the Thanksgiving holiday. The house is just beautiful! We loved the spacious living room, dining room, and kitchen! And private bathrooms for all the bedrooms! So glad you had an ice maker! The house is furnished so nicely! The Christmas tree was beautiful-such a nice touch! About the owner: My family has grown up vacationing on the beautiful Gulf Coast. My husband and I had the opportunity to build our ideal beach house in 2005 for our large family and to share with friends. It is the nearest thing to heaven!

Heritage Shores is the perfect Southern neighborhood with large, gracious beach homes and a huge expanse of sugar white beach. The quietness and the the privacy are what drew us to this location. Our house has beautiful gulf and bay views, a short stroll to the beach, and overlooks the pool and tennis court.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Southern Shores is specifically designed and furnished for large families (or two or three families) to come together. Bedrooms are private, bathrooms are ensuite, living and dining areas are spacious and comfortable for big groups. The kitchen is wonderfully equipped for several cooks to work together while enjoying conversation at the island. Several large balconies encourage slipping away for long talks.
