This brand new luxurious chalet offers a large open, fully equipped kitchen and great room with a cozy gas log fireplace. The spacious loft has a king-size bed, private bath and walk-in closet. The main floor bedroom offers a queen-size bed and walk-in closet with direct access to a full bathroom. The chalet is fully air-conditioned and heated, with ceiling fans in each room.
Relax and enjoy the 5-star amenities of Highland House. All you need to do is bring yourselves and a few groceries. All linens, laundry facilities, cookware, table settings and almost everything you might need are available. Also provided are satellite TV, VCR, CD/Cassette player and telephone. Internet access is available via telephone or at the Murphy library if you feel compelled to stay in contact with the outside world.
Ideally located to take advantage of golf, white-water rafting (on the Ocoee River, site of the 1996 Olympic Kayaking events, only 30 minutes West; or North to the Nantahala River), hiking and biking in the Nantahala and Cherokee National Forests; Lakes Hiwassee and Nottely offer swimming, boating and fishing, as do numerous rivers and streams; antiquing and sight-seeing opportunities abound in this history rich tri-state area, or you can just relax and breathe in the cool fresh mountain air.
Just three miles from the town of Murphy with great restaurants, a Super Wal-Mart, a modern Ingles supermarket, it is easily accessible via paved roads and provides a secluded mountain retreat within minutes of civilization.
