BLUE OWL LODGE
Renovated from top to bottom to be someplace our guests would love, this house has plenty of space for your whole party to spread out, relax, and enjoy the beauty of Breckenridge and the surrounding area. From the top of the line mattresses on the beds to the enormous dining room table with room for 14 to the 8-person hot tub, no detail was too small. The house sits on more than half an acre of land so peace and tranquility go hand in hand with the magnificent views. That amount of land also means there is more than ample parking, which means you have one less thing to worry about.
We are just 1 mile up a quiet winding road from the free shuttle stop and less than 2 miles from the gondola parking lot. A quick 5 minute trip and you’ll be at the doorstep of the some of the best skiing and riding in North America. If the slopes aren’t your cup of tea then you can enjoy the historic town of Breckenridge, which is well known for the quality and quantity of its shops and restaurants. If you prefer to stay inside and relax then we’ve provided you with a wood-burning fireplace, 4 HDTVs, 3 DVD players, a collection of DVDs, complimentary Wi-Fi, a computer and printer, a large selection of books and board games, and if all that sounds too stressful then you can always take in the gorgeous mountain views while relaxing in our large Jacuzzi hot tub perched on the west facing deck.
The sleeping arrangements are as follows:
Master Bedroom – 1 King Bed (sleeps 2)
Second Floor Bedroom – 1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
Bunk Room – 2 Twin Bunks (sleeps 4)
First Floor Bedroom – 1 Queen Bed (sleeps 2)
Living Room – 1 Sofa Bed (sleeps 2)
There is also a portable crib, washer / dryer, boot warmer, outdoor propane grill, stereo with MP3 jack, indoor ski rack, and a fully equipped kitchen which includes dish washer, coffee maker, blender, waffle maker, microwave, stove / oven, and full-size refrigerator.
Here are excerpts from some feedback surveys we’ve received from previous guests:
"Blue Owl Lodge was a great place to stay for our family celebration. A beautiful house with a beautiful view of the ski slopes and peaks. Great location close to downtown and main street. In addition, this was a great place for our 15 month old to explore. Definitely felt like we were staying in at a home with great amenities (from appliances to mattresses), not just a typical rental location. Thanks for the great memories." - G.J.- Montgomery, AL
"I just wanted to let you know that we arrived a little while ago and your place is much more than appears on the Internet photos. The deck is so peaceful and the view is incredible. You have really gone beyond the extra mile with the furnishings and amenities! Everything was simply first-rate. Sheets, towels, wi-fi, window shades, beds, furniture, bathrooms -- so nicely done. The kitchen table was the largest I've encountered! It was really helpful to spread out like that. We called it the 'board room.' The seven of us had a great time and have many memories to share - thank you again for being so responsive and for sharing your place." - C.S. Wheaton, IL
"The house was perfect for our family get together. The moment we walked in, we felt the comforts of home (only better). Your attention to detail was most impressive, from the library of books, fully equipped kitchen, furnishings and overall decor - absolutley beautiful. We are already planning our next gathering at Blue Owl Lodge and can see this as a regular vacation home." - TG - Denver, CO
"We loved our stay at Blue Owl Lodge. The house is beautiful, the mountain scenes through the windows are breathtaking and the appliances available are wonderful. Thanks so much! Your facility made our wonderful 'family' time together truly enjoyable." - Wheelers - Pratt, Kansas

A very comfortable home with ample space for adults and kids. The location is super convenient to downtown Breck and the slopes. Waking up with the views of Peaks 7-10 never got old. The house itself is stocked with the modern amenities, beds were very comfortable, and the hot tub was a life saver after the long days on the slopes. The gas grill is large enough to cook for 10 but the auto-ignitors didn't want to work so some repairs are likely needed. This is a home our family would definitely return to!! The owners were very responsive to all of our questions and the check-in and check-out process was very simple. Thank you Blue Owl for helping us make our vacation one of the best ever!!Recommended for: Adventure seekers, families with young children.

Blue Owl Lodge is one of those places that feels like a real find. The four adults and four kids that comprised our party weren’t really looking for luxury accommodation – all we really needed was someplace spacious, affordable, and not too far from the slopes – and from the information available Blue Owl Lodge seemed perfect. And… it WAS perfect, in every way. In fact, it far exceeded our expectations! It was fabulously comfortable, decadently luxurious (for us), and superbly equipped. It remained warm indoors on the coldest nights, and the hot tub on the view-drenched deck was awesome. The location was ideal: quiet and beautiful, and only a very short car ride was needed to get to the gondola parking – we were glad we didn’t pay three times more for a small ski-in, ski-out condo. Unexpectedly, someone even turned up to plow the drive and shovel the decks after it snowed… a real bonus! I’d thoroughly recommend the house to others; if/when we return to Breck we’ll be returning here for sure!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, adventure seekers, age 55+, romantic getaway, girls getaway, sightseeing, families with young children.

About the owner: Dyanne grew up in Illinois and moved to Colorado in 1999. Jason grew up Massachusetts and moved to Colorado in 2001.
Why the Owner Chose Forest Hills:
Ever since we met we've talked about buying a "house in the mountains" and the town of Breckenridge is such a fun place to be anytime of the year. We wanted someplace close to town, but far enough away to provide some space and peace and quiet.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Our favorite time of year to visit the house is actually the summer. The cool mountain air is so fresh and invigorating and the atmosphere is very relaxed and tranquil.
