Imagine your vacation in a family oriented community that has something for everyone: indoor and outdoor pools, playgrounds, basketball, shuffle board, miniature golf, and a mile of beach all within our gated community.
Life guards, patrolling security/courtesy service, and a 10 MPH speed limit make this a really safe vacation place where you can just "let the kids go".
E-8 is fully equipped and furnished to make your stay a pleasure in every way. The house has two large decks with parking for 4-5 cars underneath. It is conveniently located just across from the beach, volleyball, playgrounds and steps to the basketball courts. Just a block or so away is the recreation area where you will find pools(indoor, outdoor olympic, splash pool and kid zone pool/area) as well as a cafe, arcade, indoor ping pong tables, etc.
Our recreation department offers discount prices and tickets to local area attractions and movie theatres. They can assist you in arranging tee times for golf and offer discounts for Prestwick Golf Course. There is a summer camp program for children in the mornings and other events for the entire family on a daily basis.

Our stay at Ocean Lakes was wonderful! We were fortunate enough to have our children and grandchildren with us for the entire week, and never ran out of things to do. Allowing us to bring our dogs with us made it even more memorable. There was so much room, we even had beds to spare. This was without a doubt our best vacation ever, and I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this house again. As a matter of fact, we plan to make our reservations early to ensure the availability of this house. We sat on the deck, watched the our grandkids play on the playground, while at the same time could see the older kids out in the ocean. Best Stay Ever!!Recommended for: Families with young children, pet owners, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+.

Our family spent a week in this house and we were very pleased. The house was just as described and the pictures accurately reflected the appearance. The ocean view is excellent. We found the house very clean and the management very helpful. The grill was missing when we arrived and within a hour someone was there to help us and brought us a new grill. Everyone from the people who took our reservation through until our stay was over was excellant to work with. Ocean Lakes is a great place to bring the family and I would highly recommend this house.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, pet owners, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, age 55+, girls getaway.

look out for the bats!!!!! this house has a bats living in the attics and we called the owner and he did not seem to even care, the dish washer broke while we were staying there and we had to spend the whole first day cleaning cause the kitchen was so nasty...it was the worst house i have ever stayed in..worst trip ever...do not rent thisRecommended for: Adventure seekers.
Owner response: Unfortunately, we had renters who were looking for a free vacation. From the moment they entered the house, they were looking for a way to have a two week stay for free. They did notify us of the bats on Sunday afternoon. We had a person come first thing Monday morning to deal with the issue. The bats ended up leaving on their own (as they are migratory animals and stay only short term in a variety of areas in the beach), and we are still having someone do preventative maintenance to ensure they are not able to come back. We were notified that the dish washer broke on the 3rd day before their last and had someone respond within 2 hours. The part was ordered and was fixed as soon as it came in. The renters refused to have our cleaners address any issues they had, choosing instead to do things themselves. They complained constantly, but when offered a portion of their money back to leave, they refused. All concerns were answered kindly and within 12-24 hours. They parked cars and trailers on surrounding areas, killing the grass and were generally inconsiderate. We will not be renting to them again.
