Romantic ocean view cottage on over an acre of land across a small country road from the Drift Inn Beach - sandy and good swimming. Sweeping views to the south out to Brothers Island and the open Atlantic. Front yard graced with maples, fragrant firs, and a path that winds to the beach only 150 feet away.
10-15 minute walk into Port Clyde's restaurants and galleries (less than a mile). Buy your lobsters directly from the lobstermen themselves. Ferry to Monhegan Island (departing from Port Clyde) makes a great day trip.
New (built in 2000) cedar-shingled house. Interior is sunny and light, crafted from wood throughout, with contemporary furnishings. Front porch with hammock, deck chairs and Atlantic views. Play croquet on our seaview lawn or bocce in our wooodland glade.
Enter from the back of the house into open great room with beechwood floors and ocean views. Well-equipped kitchen off entry door. Small sea view "relaxing" nook to left of great room. First-floor bedroom with double bed and full bath (T/S).
Up the carpeted stairway to master (queen-size) and new luxury bath with tiled shower. Small "morning" balcony and computer nook with internet access. Go up a few steps to the sea view cupola/study with a desk and a futon. This is good sleeping for anyone who wants to be lulled to sleep by the sound of lapping waves. Note: no door on cupola, therefore, not an enclosed room.
There is a separate 14x20 rustic bunk house with an ocean view, a cheery wood stove and twin beds. Ask about it! |
