Most vacations last about 7 days, but a week at Fripp Island comes with enough memories to last a lifetime.. There’s 3 ½ miles of unspoiled, uncrowded white beach just waiting for your footprints in the sand. And when you want to take a break in the pool there are seven to choose from. During the summer season our Beach Rental Hut has cabana umbrellas, beach chairs and boogie boards for your pleasure. You can even get up a game of volleyball in front of the Beach Club. One of the favorite pastimes for families here is crabbing, kids get a big kick out of coming face to face with a live Atlantic Blue Crab.
The natural beauty of Fripp Island is legendary. From the lush subtropical scenes in the “Jungle Book” and Forest Gump” to the romantic ocean vistas in the “Price of Tides”, the images of Fripp Island will stay in your mind forever. It’s the home to more than 175 species of birds and waterfowl. Great Blue Herons, Snowy White Egrets, Ospreys and even an occasional Bald Eagle can be seen soaring over the vast lagoons and lakes that dot the island. Ancient forests of moss draped Live Oaks, Magnolias, Palmettos and Southern Pines create a dramatic canopy for the abundant wildlife that run free below. Some 400 families of deer, raccoons and alligators live in perfect harmony with the residents of the island. And where the land meets the sea, the endangered Loggerhead Turtles return each year to lay their eggs along the dune line. The waters surrounding the island are teaming with Atlantic Blue Crabs, flounder, spot tail bass, trout and drum.
Tennis at Fripp Island is a year round sport. The Racquet Club with 8 Fast-Dry clay courts and two hard courts is directly across the street from the beach and part of the Beach Club complex. If your passion is water sports, you can explore the backwaters and creeks surrounding our island in one of our kayaks or canoes. And if you prefer, we can arrange a guided tour with one of the on-staff naturalists. The resort has so many rental toys you may want to stay an extra week just for the shear fun of it. Golf carts are the preferred method of transportation among guests on the island and can be rented by the week, day or hour. Biking is a great way to explore the island along miles of trails that connect you with every part of the resort. If mopeds are your thing, you can do your sightseeing at 25mph.
The Activity Center is the focal point of all the great social programs on the island like “Meet the Animals." Kids will never forget their first experience at Camp Fripp. If you are 3-12 years old, it’s the most fun you can have with your sneakers on!! Each day is themed and ranges from Pirates of Skull Creek to Wild, Wild West and Mad Scientist Day. There’s even a Dolphin Cruise and a Nature Day to learn about the wildlife here on Fripp Island. Arts and crafts include Tie Dying, Piggy Bank Painting, making Stepping Stones and Candle Decoupage. Every day comes with the expectation of another new adventure – memories that will last a lifetime.
If fishing is your passion, you’ll love coming here. Offshore fishing with our experienced charter guides can be arranged at the Marina Store. The Gulf Stream is abundant with sailfish, mahi-mahi, barracuda, kingfish, grouper and snapper. Inshore fishing for flounder, trout, drum and tarpon is popular around the island. The Marina hosts a number of fishing tournaments in the spring, summer and fall. Our Marina staff can hook you up with a guide and the gear. At the end of the day, take a Sunset Cruise on our 49 foot pontoon boat or come early for the 2-hour Dolphin Cruise.
Two of the most spectacular golf courses in America are right here on Fripp Island. Ocean Point, a true seaside links course was designed by George Cobb, famed course designer and consultant to Augusta National and boasts dramatic views of the ocean or inlet on 10 of the 18 holes. On the south end of the island is Ocean Creek, Davis Love III’s first signature course. Ocean Creek offers magnificent panoramic views of the Great Salt Marsh and freshwater lakes with four distinctive rolling dune line that come into play. Wildlife is abundant throughout this picturesque course.

We have enjoyed the beauty and privacy of Fripp Island since 2003 after our sister purchased a vacation home here. What a stunning place to play and relax. The beaches are uncrowded and so pristine...it's actually breathtaking. And even though this island is small it has wonderful amenties and lots of activities for you and your family. WOW! Three families rented this wonderful home just days before our vacation and were very impressed with the island and the amenities. The owner was a pleasure to deal with and spent time on the phone giving us the details of Fripp Island since it was our first visit to the island. The house was in excellent condition and very clean. It was more than enough room for all of us to spread out and have privacy for all three families. The great room was amazing and so spacious with 6 couches in 2 different seating areas, a table for eight, another comfy seating area, a wet bar area and room for probably the entire island to stop by for an evening cocktail :) The kitchen was very well equipped - from the stacks of beautiful dishes and serving trays to the double refrigerator/freezer! They have absolutely anything and everything you could need to bake, cook and serve a feast for a crowd. The beach was beautiful and the pools were just perfect for the hot afternoons. We nearly had the Ocean Point Pool to ourselves each time we went for a dip. The golf cart was an added bonus (we rented two more for the week so each family had one). We loved the deer and looked forward to feeding them each night - they ate right out of our hands. (We know, we're not supposed to feed them, but we couldn't resist) The golf courses were absolutely beautiful. The guys loved the course, I'm not a golfer but sure enjoyed the view from the balconies. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation on Fripp Island and Magnolia Manor. Our sincere thanks to the owners for sharing such a fabulous home! We would love to return next year...and bring even more friends!

This home is so beautiful. Fripp Island is an absolute paradise. The deer and alligators are amazing. The golf course is absolutely beautiful. All of our needs were taken care of in this beautiful home. Our only regret is…..we have to go home!! ... back to the real world. (commented entered by owner from written guest book notation)

The sea breeze sings. Its cool breath whispering through the palm fronds to settle against the bay window I sit and watch the wavering song of this island And empty myself with silence. Thank you for giving us this view, For giving the therapeutic ambiance of this island. My soul is quiet and smiles into the last sunrise that I will watch from your home on Fripp Island. We rented this home for a Christmas Party with 300 people. It worked beautifully. The massive living room is perfect for large gatherings. If you have a big event...wedding, reunion..on Fripp Island...there is no other house that even comes close!
