"BLUE MARLIN" is a beautiful BRAND NEW HOME completed in August 2008. This custom built spacious beach home in NW Lincoln City, Oregon has ocean views from wall-to-wall windows. You will literally be steps away from the beach, as our home is kitty-corner to NW 15TH Street Beach Access. Beach access is Drive Down & Wheel Chair accessible!!!
This beautiful home is tastefully decorated to give you a comfortable and relaxing vacation experience. All furnishings are completely brand new-from the furniture to the linens!!
You’ll never be at a loss for something to do at our home with so many extras including; Hot tub (with wind protected walls and a Roof), Air Hockey table, foos-ball table, ping-pong, 2-arcade machines (one shooting + one golf challange), Wii system, video games, library, All Plasma TV's/DVD, over 60 DVDS, wireless internet access, stereo, home theater set-up, board games, card games, puzzles, BBQ grill, or just sink into our comfy massage chair by the fireplace and read a good book.
This home will fit all your needs with three full-sized bedrooms, open Great room with adjoining kitchen bar(seats 4) and dining (dining seats 10), fully equipped kitchen, three bathrooms,two decks (one with gas BBQ grill and an eating area. The other with hot tub! Both decks are overlooking the ocean and have amazing views.)

There are so many wonderful things to say about the Blue Marlin! We felt instantly comfortable there...it was very clean, well-kept, and the decor was very modern and inviting. My kids immediately ran downstairs and nearly passed out when they saw the full-size arcade games! Eyes were bulging and tongues were hanging out of mouths when they saw foos ball, air hockey, and ping pong tables! If I'm being honest, I have to admit, we really enjoyed those too. :-) It was really fun playing those games as a family! The kitchen was nicely stocked, and the table was the perfect size for us. We really appreciated the flat screen televisions in each room, and the beds were amazingly comfortable! We also really enjoyed the hot tub...it provided us with a wonderful way to unwind each evening. And, finally, we found access to the beach to be extremely convenient. We loved being able to just drive onto the beach! After a day of fun on the sand, the outdoor shower proved to be most useful! We just loved staying at the Blue Marlin, and after a family vote it is unanimous, we plan to stay in this home whenvever we visit Lincoln City! :-)

We stayed here almost a year ago and I am just now writing a review. This place was so memorable I thought it worth the few minutes of my time to give a review. We had five families all with children stay here comfortably. Most memorable was the hot tub (kiddos and teens loved it during the day - adults indulged and melted away in evenings) great view from hot tub too! We used most everything in the house from the massage chair to the air hockey and ping pong. We had an amazing time. We plan to make this an annual tradition. So much better than staying in a hotel.

We recently stayed at the Blue Marlin and had a fantastic time! The accomodations exceeded our expectations and had something for everyone. Everything was neat and tidy and ready for our enjoyment. The kids (and adults) loved the entertainment that was provided and had a lot of fun playing ping pong, air hockey, foosball and the arcade games. The hot tub was enjoyed by all and the "massage" chair was very therapeutic (though we were sore from all the use)! The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was well stocked as were the linens, towels, etc.. It was a very short walk to the beach and we enjoyed beach combing and flying kites. We would love to stay in the Blue Marlin again and would highly recommend it!

We arrived on the 14th of March, 2011. The main floor was so sticky we couldn't even walk on it! We were told the guests before us left the floor that way! My daughter mopped it the 2nd night we were there. She had to get down on her hands and knees with a scrubber to get the sticky mess cleaned up. The main room 55" Plasma tv display didn't work, and also the up and down channel changer didn't work on this tv either. My brother was looking forward to watching his sports on the tv, and we were all very disappointed that it didn't work correctlyl. My brother ended up going to a motel the 2nd day we were there, as he wanted to be able to see the ocean!) Barely an ocean view, and you can not hear the ocean at all! The road down to the beach is accessible to anyone that wants to go down the road. It is not a private road! Two of the three arcade games didn't work correctly. The futon in the basment was broken. I am quite sure the hot tub was not cleaned before our stay, as there were so many chemicals in it my daughter's skin broke out, and the chemicals made both of my daughter's eyes burn. I didn't go in the hot tub until the 4th night we were there, as it smelled so strongly of chemicals! I have a hot tub, and if it is properly cleaned, you do not have to add that many chemicals to a newly cleaned hot tub! Bums were diggng in our garbage can. When I asked the homeless man/bum what he was doing, he told me he was looking for cans! Our garbage was strewn all over the place! I would never stay at this place again! Save your money, and rent a motel. Motel's are everywhere, and they have beautiful ocean views, and are very reasonably priced. We were very disappointed in our 4 day stay!
Owner response:In response to this review…We (owners) would like to begin by saying that everything at the home is in perfect working condition! It also was before & after these guests. Easy-to-follow Directions on operating TV’s & appliances are posted at the home next to each item. IF….for any reason something happens to malfunction at any time during a guests stay, we strongly encourage and provide phone #’s to call us. We are more than happy to walk guests through the problem over the phone, by email or send someone out to the home to resolve the problem. If these guests were really as disappointed as they claim to be…we would have been willing to compensate them….but they stayed ALL 4 nights, never called about the TV, arcades or hot tub & left the home a MESS!! We still dealt very fair w/ them and even returned all their items that they left at the home. The ocean view from this home is definitely not one of an ocean-front home or hotel, but neither is the nightly rate. This home is a great value for your $$, especially if guests take advantage of the deals/specials that we offer. We have been renting this home for almost 3 years now and average about 40 different groups every year. This is the first complaint that we have received of this nature…Like I mentioned before, if you rent this home & are completely disappointed with it, Please call us!!

This was the most wonderful place for all three couples to meet and have fun! The weather was iffy, but the house was spectacular. We all had a wonderful time. It was nice to be able to walk downtown, too.

Our stay at the Blue Marlin was fantastic. It luxurious. The hot tub was awesome. The home had everything you would want in a gettaway home for a family. Games, videos, multimedia. Great sleeping accommodations and decks, bbq, hot tub, etc. It is a new, well-built home that is very nicely appointed. Communications with the owner were great - timely, direct and accurate. We would stay again in a heart-beat. 5 or less minute walk to the beach. Shaun & Diane Redmond, OR
