One block to the Trolly/Max system that connects you for free to Downtown businesses or cultural area. Outside of the free area you can get to the airport plus other locations.
First Thursday is located out your door and walking distance to the Portland Saturday Market. Whole Foods Market is a few blocks away to buy fresh produce or other items. Portland Farmers Market located Thursday (June 5-Sept 25) 2 blocks away at the Ecotrust building or Saturdays at Portland State University. Portland Center Stage is a few blocks away and other theaters are close by. You also have access to hundreds of miles of biking trails. If you are visiting Portland for work or play the Pearl District is the area to stay.
