The Clubs - Your vacation - your choice....
The Shoals Club overlooks the magnificent point of Cape Fear. It offers beach chair service, a large heated swimming pool with life guard, and a host of recreational programs for all ages and interests. A separate large toddler pool, poolside dining and drink service at the Sandbar Grill, men's and women's locker rooms with bathrooms/showers/dressing area, complimentarty pool towels, fitness room, outdoor massages, fine and casual dining.
The Bald Head Island Club provides traditional country club amenities in grand southern style including a large heated pool with slide, life guard, complimentary towels, poolside & upper deck dining/drink service at the Tiki Bar, The Pelli which offers a very casual breakfast, lunch & dinner. Recreational programs for kids and drop off your kids for Mommy & Daddy's night out and a large fitness center. The George Cobb-designed 18-hole championship golf course has earned top accolades (four stars by Golf Digest), three new tennis courts, and croquet greensward.

Year Purchased: 2005
We purchased Villa 55 in January, 2005. As long time renters, we knew what we liked and expected in a great vacation rental. Our goal was and is to make our villa the nicest one on Bald Head. With 4 children and 6 grandchildren, we have been able to enjoy special vacations with all of them during the shoulder seasons. We are constantly making big and little improvements based on input from family and our rental guests. We are now at a point where 75% of our guests are returners. We can't thank you enough for that week in your place. The location was perfect. The atmosphere couldn't be more relaxed. Your villa may be the best stocked, most comfortable beach home we have ever stayed in. Very nicely decorated, and we must agree..the sheets are great.

Our stay at this property was wonderful! We have a two year old and the villa was perfect for us. They had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and as an added bonus the owners of the villa are wonderful to deal with. We will definitely be staying again!!!!

Villa 55 was a wonderful place to spend a week. The accomodations were spectacular and Dede went out of her way to make us feel at home. We loved the soft sheets on the beds, the beach towels and chairs that were provided, and the beach decor and new appliances. Views of the ocean from the second floor were beautiful and we enjoyed the main level deck overlooking the 18th green. We had 4 adults and 2 young children and found the accomodations comfortable. It was particularly helpful to have 2 golf carts and all amenities such as towels, chair, ketchup and spices included. We recommend paying a slightly highter fee to gain access to both clubs so you can enjoy each and experiences a change of pace. For our next Bald Head trip, we will definately stay at Villa 55 again.

Your house is full of warm colors with an atmosphere that pushes you automatially from the first minute into "vacation mode". Annette especially loved all of the amenities and the soft sheets on the beds. Just like home.

Villa 55....We think it's heaven on earth. Perfectly situated, amenities spectacular, beautifully decorated. Even Drew commented that it felt just like home!! We've had the most incredible 2 weeks here and have already had a family vote that we must return to Villa 55 next year!!
