This simple summer retreat, set on a beautiful, deep water, tranquil cove, offers extraordinary opportunities for waterfront fun. Come swim, fish and crab off the private pier. There’s room to dock your boat at our pier... or you can explore and roam the river in our canoe. Observe the Great Blue Heron, Egrets, waterfowl, and White Swans that frequent the cove.
The yard is perfect for fun on land too: there is a picnic table for crab feasts and gatherings, gas grill, Adirondack chairs, badminton net and a tree swing out to the water! Or simply, relax in the hammock with a book.
The West river is home to marinas, sailing clubs, sailboat races, restaurants and summer sailing camps. Minutes (by boat or car) to waterfront restaurants in historic Galesville, where you can enjoy our famous Maryland blue crabs. Find great shopping, restaurants, golf and theaters along the 25-minute drive to downtown historic Annapolis, with its many interesting sights and tours. Dine in the various wonderful restaurants as you stroll West Street. Enjoy Washington, DC, only 45 minutes west or Baltimore's Inner Harbor 45 minutes north. Baltimore Washington International (BWI) is 50 minutes away.
Four bedrooms with one queen size bed, one bunk bed with trundle, one twin bed with trundle and a queen size futon can comfortably sleep up to 8 people. The cottage includes a washer and dryer, central air and all linens and towels.
