Old charm river house amongst the redwoods and sunshine. Perfect for a romantic getaway or family fun. Knotty pine throughout with redwood beams. High beam-ceiling living room with skylights that open and a large rock fireplace. One block from a quiet beach on the Russian River. Great place to launch the house-supplied kayaks.
The river house offers a year round retreat, a serene and peaceful setting where you can do everything or absolutely nothing. Picture yourself in the hot tub secluded by 9 majestic redwood trees. Follow the pathway that leads around the house, meandering through the fern and flower garden. Find yourself in one of two patio areas or simply sitting on a rocking chair on the front deck and reading a good book with your morning coffee or evening wine.
The living room invites you to curl up and get cozy in front of the rock fireplace in the fall/winter months. In spring and summer open the windows and skylights, watch your favorite baseball team on the new 37" flatscreen TV or listen to music on the quality stereo.
Recently remodeled bathroom and kitchen still holds the same charm of the early 1900 craftsmanship. The kitchen is fully equipped and includes colorful Fiestaware. The dining area boasts the same craftsmanship with a farmhouse table and bench seating for 8-10 people. The master bedroom, with vaulted ceiling, is tastefully decorated with knotty pine furniture. The second bedroom is furnished with built-in bunk beds and matching desk, both made from knotty pine. The house is comfortably furnished throughout, keeping with the country cabin and river theme.
The furnished deck includes a stainless steel grill, outdoor heaters and porch swing. While your steak is grilling, shoot a game of pool in the adjoining, partially enclosed room which also includes a TV. The deck and room overlook the patio, hot tub and play area below. Eight colorful adirondak chairs await your seating pleasure in the lower patio which also has a gas BBQ. When you're tired of sitting, enjoy a game of shuffleboard or ping pong. Or take a kayak a short distance to the river for a peaceful paddle where you'll see blue heron and river otters.
Whether in the house or outside, there are all-around views of redwoods, tree-lined hills, the sun and the moon. Upon request and additional fee, tents can be provided for 4 additional people who like to sleep under the stars.
