Located atop Rosario Hill in a quiet setting and overlooking Downtown Santa Fe, the historic Plaza, and the majestic Sangre de Christo Mountains, our luxurious, professionally decorated Casa Luminosa is minutes from most of what makes Santa Fe "The City Different."
We have traveled to Santa Fe almost annually for 30 years. Each time we return, we discover the restful and restorative natural beauty of this place "all over again." In keeping with that spirit of renewal, we decided to invest in providing an additional space in Santa Fe for others to experience this peace as well.
Lumninosa is Spanish for sunlit, something you will experience in the upper-level living quarters with its sun-bathed vistas stretching throughout the day across the southern horizon. Whether you are greeting a new day with your morning coffee on the upper front deck or drinking in another magnificent New Mexico sunset on the upper back deck, the tranquil light of Casa Luminosa will soothe your soul.
Our new casa contains 1,380 square feet of living space on two levels for your enjoyment.
Upstairs, you will find a gas-fired kiva fireplace, luxurious leather recliner and sleeper sofa, wide-screen HD/cable television with access to more than 150 channels, DVD player and wide selection of movie DVDs, high-speed wireless Internet access, HP LaserJet printer, dining area, and fully equipped cook's kitchen with Jenn-Air range/oven. For outdoor cooking, a charcoal grill is available on the back deck.
Downstairs, the master bedroom contains a king bed with luxurious Simmons mattress, and the master bath features dual sinks, a jet tub and a separate extra-large shower. You will find a queen bed in the guest bedroom, also equipped with a plush Simmons mattress. The guest bedroom exits onto a private back porch. The guest bath contains an extra-large shower. A front-load washer and dryer are also available off the downstairs hallway.
Our casa is located several blocks north of the intersection of Griffin Street and Paseo de Peralta. Beware, some online maps show our casa at the intersection, but you will need to zoom in to pinpoint the location.
For groceries and other shopping, you are only a six-minute drive from the DeVargas Mall at the intersection of Guadalupe and Paseo de Peralta. And many of Santa Fe's more-popular restaurants are a few minutes away as well.
Whether you come for winter sports or to escape the summer heat, Santa Fe and Casa Luminosa will provide a vacation experience that we hope will keep you returning to our tranquil sunlight year after year.

Over the years that we vacationed in New Mexico, we saw that Santa Fe's attraction as a popular vacation destination remained strong year after year, in good economic times and bad. When we made our decision to buy, we searched for a location that would be as close to the Santa Fe historic district as our retirement savings would allow. We found it on Rosario Hill.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Casa Luminosa is close to just about everything you will want to see in Santa Fe's historic district. The Plaza in the heart of downtown is minutes away by car, or you can walk there in about 15 minutes. The best part of your stay will likely occur in the mornings as you sip your coffee on the upper front deck and drink in the crisp mountain air filled with the fragance of pinon. At the same time, you'll be able to enjoy a panoramic view of the City Different and the mountains that surround it.
Convenient shopping for everyday needs minutes from the condo, including Albertson's, CVC Pharmacy, Office Depot and dozens of other retail stores as well a U.S. Post Office.

My wife and I, both native Texans, made our first trip to Santa Fe soon after we were married in the mid-1970s and were instantly smitten. Each year no matter how appealing other sections of the country might have been for planning our family vacations, all roads usually led us back to New Mexico and Santa Fe. In 2007, we decided to take a permanent stake in the City Different and purchased a vaction home that overlooks Santa Fe's historic downtown. We think you'll agree that our view of the city from Rosario Hill has to be one of the best in town. And, despite its location near Santa Fe's most popular attractions, our quiet hillside setting will make you feel like you are out in the countryside miles away.
