A group of us stayed at Gail's home for a weekend in January and could not have asked for a better experience. The home is beautiful; the photos and listing description are completely accurate, and in fact they do not do the property justice. The house is in excellent condition and has everything we needed for a weekend of R&R - with great living areas, an amazing stereo system with speakers throughout the house and patio, tons of outdoor space to explore with the dogs, and a fantastic kitchen with all the amenities. Gail was very easy to coordinate with and very helpful before and during our stay. Some of our group went into town on Saturday, but the rest of us just explored the property with its many streams and creeks and waterfalls. The house is also a perfect spot if attending Levon Helm's Ramble, which is a very short drive away. We hope to return again for another visit in the future.

Gail's Woodstock home exceeded our expectations! The house was plenty big enough for our two families to spread out in, the furnishings were very comfortable, and the accent pieces (starting with 'The PeeWees) were nice conversation starters. The surrounding property was great for exploring. Would definitely recommend this property, and certainly be back again.

We stayed here last weekend with friends and had a wonderful time. The house itself was beautiful (far nicer than the pictures, as others have mentioned) and well equipped: the beds were comfortable, linens were plentiful, and the kitchen was perfectly stocked. The house was the cleanest rental home I've ever stayed in. The house feels wonderfully private and secluded, but it is just a short drive to town (& very close to the Ramble, which was the reason for our visit). The owner was very responsive and helpful throughout planning our trip and even made sure we knew how to get the heat working when a cold snap rolled in as we were heading up to Woodstock. The only bad thing was that we wished we were staying longer so we could enjoy the property more :) Highly recommend.

Just celebrated my brother's 40th birthday at this fantastic home. I agree with all of the reviewers. The pictures do not do the property justice. This is a wonderful, relaxing, beautifully appointed room. Wonderful place to relax. Easy access to Woodstock. I can't wait to go back!

My family and I stayed at the house last month and it was a perfect getaway. The house is beautiful and setup is amazing. The surrounding property has nice trails to explore the woods and there are two beautiful waterfalls also! We definitely plan on renting it again and would recommend the house to anyone! The owner is a pleasure to rent from, thanks for everything :)

This property is even more beautiful in person than it is in the pictures that are posted on the Web page. My husband and I were thrilled with the amenities, the hospitality of the owner and the special memories that we will always treasure of our trip to Woodstock and this amazing home. It was everything that we hoped for and more-picturesque, private, spacious, tastefully appointed, and inviting. The owner has thought of everything: for the music lover-an upscale sound system; for the movie and TV lover-a 42" flat screen HDTV,for the gourmet cook-a Viking frig and a Wolfe stove. The town of Woodstock is a short drive away(maybe three minutes), so if you want to catch a concert or grab a gourmet dinner, you are in luck. Of course, you certainly don't have to (and probably won't want to) ever leave this property. We are planning to come back as soon as possible and stay at this home for another relaxing and memorable trip!

Had an amazing 4th of July weekend in this house. The pictures don't do it justice, it is HUGE with lots of light in every room and speakers installed throughout the house. Perfect for a large group of people. Everything is close by, we had a couple of people go hiking, a couple of people go kayaking, and another group go to the local swimming hole. Every activity was at most 30 minutes away. Woodstock is a really cute town, but it was really hard to leave the comforts of this perfect house.

We were attending a family wedding in Woodstock and rented this house for 6 adults and three children so we could all spend more time as an extended family, make meals together and not worry that the kids were bored. It was PERFECT in every way! Everyone had their own area to retreat to, including private bathrooms, and there was enough room for everyone to have meals together as well. The kids (5, 6 and 8) also had places to play that were in ear shot but not on top of everyone else. The owner is very accommodating and easy to work with. Very close to town and amazing woods to explore.

My brother and a couple of friends joined us in Woodstock for a weekend to attend a music event. I'm not sure which we enjoyed more, the event, each others company or the beautiful accommodations and its surroundings. This is obviously a well-loved home with a beautifully thought out floor plan and no detail left unattended. Each room is uniquely decorated, relaxing, and coordinated with the rest of the home. There are two "wings" upstairs for the bedrooms which were so comfortably appointed, it was hard to get out of bed in the morning! The "wings" provided maximum privacy when desired without losing the extremely homey feel. After a trip to the grocery store, there is absolutely nothing you will need in this gourmet stocked kitchen. For us music fans, the complete yet selective downstairs music system was a huge plus. Just bring your own, play what is here (great variety) or plug in your ipod. We loved it! We were there at the end of the first week of March and were pleased by the mild days and cold evenings, perfect for building a fire each night. Lastly, the people we dealt with in booking and securing this home were pleasant in every way. We will definitely come back even without an event to attend. For a relaxing weekend (or more) away, this is the place.

After an exhaustive 4 month search for the perfect location in which to shoot my first feature film, a horror thriller, I came upon this house. It was perfect in every way. I saw so many houses, but this was the only modern country house that was truly secluded the way it said it was in the ad. The house is completely surrounded by woods and mountains and it has two waterfalls near the house with so much land to explore. It's the kind of place that looked good in photos but was just awesome when we showed up to look at the property in person and walk the trails around the house. More importantly, the owners were incredibly welcoming and supportive of our project throughout the entire process. We shot our horror film over a period of 7 days in this house. By the time we were finished, the cast and crew didn't want to leave. Making a film is incredibly stressful, but this location provided the naturally tranquil setting that made it all possible. Also, we were so far away from other houses that no one could hear my actresses screaming night after night as they ran away from evil forces in the spooky woods. I hope this house is available again when my film plays at the Woodstock film festival. I'll keep my fingers crossed.
