Each Room has original Knotty Pine Paneling and a Wooden Checker Board Ceiling. There are 2 Bedrooms; 1 Bedroom has a QUEEN Bed with Down Filed Comforter and a well stocked Book Case. Our 2nd Bedroom has a FULL Bed and 2 TWIN Beds; the beds have Comforters and Fluffy Feather Beds! Our Living Room has comfortable chairs, large Wood Burning Fireplace...firewood included, stereo system, and Direct TV. In the Complete Kitchen you will find everything you need to prepare meals except perishables. A Family Size Refrigerator is stocked with Condiments, in the Pantry Cupboard you will find Oatmeal, Spices, Flour, Sugar, Olive Oil, Coffee, and a Brownie Mix. In true Cabin style, the Stoneware plates and cups have a Bear and Elk motif, there is a nice selection of Glassware, Stemware, and a Martini Shaker. The Kitchen is complete with a Deep 2-Tub Sink, quality Cookware, Coffee Maker, Coffee Bean Grinder, Blender, Juicer, Mixer, Electric Skillet, and Microwave.
Just 30 minutes from Downtown Denver, our relaxing cabin is a Tranquil Retreat from the traffic and bustle of Denver and I-70. Located just west of Bergen Park on Squaw Pass Road, you will experience Breath-taking Scenery, see several varieties Birds, Deer, and Elk, and truly live the Rocky Mountains experience.
Our Cozy, Vintage Cabin is a perfect place to RELAX...build a Fire, put your feet up, and enjoy a good book or watch a Movie from the on-site Library. When you are ready, it is a perfect location to begin exploring Colorado's Biking, Hiking, and Snow Shoeing Trails, Downhill Ski runs, Mountain Towns, Gambling Towns, Red Rocks Amphitheater, or the Shopping, Museums, Theaters, and Sports venues in the City

4 generations of Duddens have loved spending downtime our Cabin near Evergreen Colorado.
Why the Owner Chose Evergreen
Grandpa Orville and his friend Randall built our cabin during 1951-52 on land which had been in the Dudden family for many years.
The Unique Benefits of this Cabin
Our family loves spending time together at the cabin. As our children have grow older the Cabin keeps us connected. We enjoy opening the doors and windows, allowing the fresh mountain air to flood the living space. Every chance we get, we can be found pulling out the patio furniture, pouring a mug of hot coffee or a glass of wine, and playing a cut throat game of Scrabble while watching the clouds pass overhead.

My husband and I, plus 2 dogs (English Springer Spaniels) spent a most enjoyable week here. Great walking for the dogs round Evergreen Lake, and hikes in Elk Meadow. Easy access to I-70. This location was great for us to visit family in Denver. We did lots of sight seeing - Leadville, Sevenfalls, to name a couple. Evergreen has everything you need - supermarket, gas station, pharmacy, post office, restaurants. The cabin itself was very comfortable, clean, and very well equipped. It was great to have use of the landline at the cabin as our cell phones did not receive a signal there. The bathroom is very small but perfectly adequate.We would definitely stay here again and I would recommend this accommodation to anybody.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, pet owners, age 55+.

Our family of six found this cabin a wonderful location to visit nearby relatives in Evergreen. It is fully equipped, peaceful and surrounded with natural beauty and wildlife. We came in one evening to be greeted by two deer grazing at the front door, while just a short distance away herds of elk brought every vehicle to a stop for a good look. We rate it as a real Colorado experience which we hope to enjoy each time we visit.

The cabin is great site for a family vacation w/grocery shopping near by. We've stayed winter for near by skiing and summer for hiking. Also easy drive to Denver for museums, etc.

Our family of four enjoys staing at the cabin during ski season as it is easy drive to A-Basin, Loveland Pass, Winter Park. We love stopping in near by Idaho Springs for Bojo's Pizza.

This is the perfect place to get away from it all! I have been visiting the cabin for years and every stay is so relaxing. Hibernate indoors with a good book and some hot chocolate or take a short drive into Denver to explore the Mile High City. You will love your stay here.
