The spring/fall special rates are $165/nt plus the same taxes/cleaning and security deposit. Act quickly. We have the ONLY FREE PARKING IN AREA, SAVE $7-$15/nt on it alone.

Aloha, and welcome to our little part of Paradise on the Emerald Isle of Maui. Maui has been voted the best island resort in the world by travel associations for several years. And Maui Kai has been judged to be the Hidden Gem on the island by MAUI REVEALED all resort rating book, primarily because of its location right on the beach (first high rise on the island), atmosphere, and smaller family friendly facility. This is one of the top units in Maui Kai! There are major differences in the overall of the Jr. Suite apartments at Maui Kai. Insist on seeing pictures of the unit before renting.

You will be coming to Kaanapali, an area north of the old whalers village called Lahaina Town, listed in all the literature as Maui's best area, and we are the most northern property in that best location Kaanapali on Maui. That also means you are right on the ocean. You can open your windows, look and listen to the ocean directly out from your window. You are closer to the water than any property in the state of Hawaii. Look at the furnishings and amenities of our condominium which was renovated totally in 2007 and supplemented in 2008. There is a complete kitchen to feed six well with gourmet meals and the tools and items to do it. The members of this family all cook and it is also our real home away from home.

This Maui Kai Jr. Suite is a real gem. Beautifully appointed with a luxurious tilt queen size bed with deep mattressing. Located on the second floor makes very good watching for turtles, whales, monk seals, and dolphins in seasons right from the front window table. You can swim, snorkel, boogie board, fish, suntan, and walk the beach from right outside. You can also watch the fishing, sailing, snorkeling, and scuba boats from in the unit while you are having your start of the day because we are the closest condo to the ocean in all of Hawaii! It is a very, very short distance to the pool or ocean.

We have monk seals from time to time right outside out below this unit and they are rare here and protected. In whale season it is hard to imagine a better show than to just watch out the window as they breach, move around,sometimes in pods, etc. Same for the dolphins and turtles.

Feel the trade winds, the sounds of the ocean, and solitude of our beach when you are at the Maui Kai. We try our best to make it as a "Home away from Home" with very full kitchens, outstanding furnishings, amenities, and ambiance for our guests. It is our home as well.

Why the Owner Chose Maui Kai

We originally and again chose this area and on Maui because of the wonderful island life here and the closest to the beach property in all Hawaii. We love the waves sounds at night and especially the morning and sunsets at night. That is also with being the central area for all the exciting places on the island and the view of the mountains, etc. Our resort condos are decorated individually and we can have our tastes in our units instead of being a hotel/motel type of one fits all. We are one of the best of the Maui Kai units. There are differences and you should see here what you rent!

The Unique Benefits at this Condominium

You have a fine quiet pool, beautiful sunsets from our lanai, the beach right here, the quiet at night, the feeling that you are in a small facility without being in a noisy hotel, and the closeness to needed food, golf, and other delights that most of the other places on the western side of the island.

5 miles north of Lahaina at Lahainaluna Road at Lower Honopialani Rd. Down it 100 yards to a double driveway. Follow it in past the circle to the left and it is the second driveway.

We are the Risinger Family from Woodinville, WA. We have been owners in the Maui Kai since 1977. We purchased this unit in 1999 and our daughter operates this unit for her family from our family businesses in Maui.

It is a true haven for all of us and we keep our units as extensions of our life styles at our homes on the mainland.

    • We enjoyed our stay on Maui April 3rd to 15th in the Maui Kai condo no. 206. Everything was clean, well cared for and comfortable, even luxurious. Everything we needed was available including sugar and coffee filters which we forgot to bring. 206 is equipped with a wall bed which just seems to fit the decor and was very easy to raise and lower. It has a wonderful bed, very comfortable. The view looking west toward the ocean with Molokai on the right and Lanai on the left and with most sunsets and moon sets between the two islands: Beautiful! You are very close to the water with sight and sound of the waves. We watched kite surfers over the water, surfers, sail boats, boats, snorkelers and swimmers. A little further out, we watched whales spouting and breaching. There is the atmosphere of Hawaii here. There are fifty foot Palm trees, green mountains, lovely flowers including ginger and hibiscus. We even saw and heard red birds. We walked to a Farmers Market for fresh fruit: pineapple. papaya, guava, bananas, mellons, kiwi. Of course they had vegetables, too. The tools are here but if you don't want to cook, the recommended places to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner are excellent. We will surely try to go back again if we can count on unit 206. It was totally relaxing and warm, quite different from the weather in the Seattle area where we live.
