E Komo Mai! Welcome!
FlipKey, the quality feedback raters from customers has rated the Maui Kai as the #1 of the top 40 specialty rental properties on Maui. And Aloha Condos, our personal major marketing agent requires that we are substantially above the quality of the "Official" inhouse rental programs. The Emerald Isle of Maui has been voted the land resort in the world by travel associations for several years. And Maui Kai has been judged to be the Hidden Gem on the island by the MAUI REVEALED travel guide, primarily because of its location right on the beach, smaller, family-friendly atmosphere. It is also always among the very top properties listed in the rating services. This is one of the superior units in Maui Kai! Insist on seeing pictures of the actual unit before renting to get the best.
Kaanapali, an area north of the historic whalers village called Lahaina Town, is listed in all the literature as Maui's best area, and we are the northernmost property in that best location on Maui. Maui Kai is right on the ocean. You can open your windows, look and listen to the ocean almost directly beneath you. Maui Kai is closer to the water than any property in the state of Hawaii! The furnishings and amenities of our condo were renovated very recently and continue to be so regularly. There is a full kitchen for preparing gourmet meals. The members of this family all cook so it is our real home away from home.
This Maui Kai Jr. Suite is a real gem. Beautifully appointed with a luxurious tilt queen size bed with a deep, comfortable mattress. Your location on the second floor makes very good watching for turtles, whales, monk seals, and dolphins right from the window. You can swim, snorkel, boogie board, fish, tan, and walk the beach to your heart's content. Outriggers, kayakers, paddle-boarders, windsurfers, surfers, and kite-sailors frequent Honokowai Point, here at the top of Kaanapali. You can also watch the fishing, sailing, snorkeling, and scuba boats from the unit while you are starting your day because we are the closest condo complex to the ocean in all of Hawaii! And if you're not an ocean swimmer, the pool and spa are mere yards away.
We have monk seals from time to time right on the beach below this unit. In whale season it is hard to imagine a better show than to just watch as they breach, slap with their fins & flukes (tails).
Feel the trade winds, listen to the sounds of the ocean, and experience the quiet of our beach when you stay at the Maui Kai. We try our best to make it a "Home away from Home" with outstanding furnishings, convenient amenities, full kitchens, and island ambiance for our guests. It is our home, and we welcome you with aloha.

Sunsets, Warm Tropical Breezes, Whales from Beachfront Unit!
Year Purchased: 1998
Why the Owner Chose Maui Kai
We originally and again chose this area and on Maui because of the wonderful island life here and the closest to the beach property in all Hawaii. We love the waves sounds at night and especially the morning and sunsets at night. That is also with being the central area for all the exciting places on the island and the view of the mountains. Our resort condos are decorated individually and we can have our tastes in our units instead of being a hotel/motel type of one fits all. We are one of the best of the Maui Kai units. You should see what you rent!
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
You have a fine quiet pool, a very good spa, beautiful sunsets from the unit, the beach right at your unit, the green mountains right behind us, the quiet at night, the feeling that you are in a small oasis, while still enjoying the proximity to food, golf, and other delights that West Maui offers.
5 miles north of Lahaina from Lahainaluna Road to Lower Honopialani Rd. Left down it 100 yards to a double driveway. Follow it in past the circle to the left and it is the second driveway.
Owner's Map of Maui Kai
We are the Risinger Family from Woodinville, WA. We have been owners in the Maui Kai since 1977 and added this unit in 1998.
It is a true haven for all of us and we keep our units as extensions of our life styles at our homes on the mainland.

FLIPKEY VERIFIED: 5 Star: "EVEN BETTER THAN ADVERTISED" : " We recently enjoyed a 10-day stay at the Maui Kai Beach Resort unit 206. When we arrived, the unit was in sparkling condition, including all promised amenities in excellent working condition and then some. A gift basket containing local fruit and other goodies was an especially pleasant surprise. As promised, the location of the condo was ideal for beach and especially whale watching; we saw many whales every day from the comfort of our room. We even saw large sea turtles in the ocean right below our window a couple of times. The wall bed was comfortable, and it was nice to be able to put the bed away during the day, allowing us more space for other activities during the day. The kitchen was nicely equipped with everything we needed. The owners also provided a well-organized notebook with recommendations for activities, restaurants, etc. The condo location is truly ocean front; from our room, we were often closer than many people sitting on the beach next door. There is also a nice, paved "beachwalk" that starts one property south of the Maui Kai and goes all the way to the South end of Kaanapali beach. This made it easy to walk to other parts of the beach for snorkeling and swimming and avoided parking headaches. The pool at the condo complex is small, but the spa is large and relaxing. The condo complex is nicely situated within easy walking distance of several grocery stores, a farmer's market, interesting shops and restaurants. This was our firsts visit to Maui, and we would not hesitate to stay at Maui Kai unit 206 again."

We enjoyed our stay on Maui April 3rd to 15th in the Maui Kai condo no. 206. Everything was clean, well cared for and comfortable, even luxurious. Everything we needed was available including sugar and coffee filters which we forgot to bring. 206 is equipped with a wall bed which just seems to fit the decor and was very easy to raise and lower. It has a wonderful bed, very comfortable. The view looking west toward the ocean with Molokai on the right and Lanai on the left and with most sunsets and moon sets between the two islands: Beautiful! You are very close to the water with sight and sound of the waves. We watched kite surfers over the water, surfers, sail boats, boats, snorkelers and swimmers. A little further out, we watched whales spouting and breaching. There is the atmosphere of Hawaii here. There are fifty foot Palm trees, green mountains, lovely flowers including ginger and hibiscus. We even saw and heard red birds. We walked to a Farmers Market for fresh fruit: pineapple. papaya, guava, bananas, mellons, kiwi. Of course they had vegetables, too. The tools are here but if you don't want to cook, the recommended places to eat breakfast, lunch or dinner are excellent. We will surely try to go back again if we can count on unit 206. It was totally relaxing and warm, quite different from the weather in the Seattle area where we live.
