Orchard Hill Preserve is a unique and beautiful acreage that occupies a southern facing slope to Lake 16, just a short walk from Sunset Lake. Apples trees abound and over 30 types of apples can be sampled on a leisurely walk of the grounds. From the blossoms in spring to harvest in the fall, these sentinels from homesteading harken us to appreciate the beauty and abundance of nature.
The 1100 feet of lakefront and 46 acres offer a vast area for exploring, fishing, and hunting. The lake offers good pan fish, bass, and pike fishing. In the fall, the hillside across the lake offers a spectacular view of fall colors. Every morning the sun rises across the lake and greets guests with the promise of another beautiful day. Many guests enjoy coffee while watching the deer work their way through the orchard.
The log cabin is newer and has a kitchenette, full bath, sleeping loft, hide-a-bed, couches and new linens.
