Discover "Rocky Mountain Tranquility" at our luxury retreat on the Big Thompson River, only a mile from Rocky Mountain National Park.  Perfect for your family vacation or a girlfriend getaway! You can fish right outside the back door, but this is not your father's fishing lodge. Our 1790 ft2 townhome (in Park River West) is only six years old, and most of the furniture is new.  The home has a dramatic two-story layout with light-filled rooms and hardwood floors on the main level.

Enjoy our open floor plan with master bedroom suite (king-sized bed) on the main level.  The fully-equipped kitchen is open to the great room and features granite countertops with a breakfast bar.  Our dining table seats eight comfortably.  The sun-filled great room has leather couch and chairs, a flat-screen TV and DVD player, vaulted ceilings and a river rock gas fireplace.

Upstairs are two more bedrooms, a full bath, and a cozy loft.  One bedroom has a queen-sized bed, the other has two extra-long twins which can be combined to form a king-sized bed.  The loft also has a queen sofa-bed, another flat-screen TV and DVD player, and a large table for games, puzzles, or laptop use (with wireless high-speed internet).  All bed matresses and bed linens were new in 2008.

Enjoy beautiful views from every room.  Central air conditioning and ceiling fans make hot summer days very comfortable.

Pine trees line the river outside our back door.  Deer and elk are frequent visitors.  The sunny deck is great for outdoor dining, watching wildlife, or just relaxing to the sounds of the river and the whispering pines.  Deck furniture and a large gas grill are provided. Our neighborhood provides benches and a picnic table along the river for your use.  In addition, we have lightweight folding lawn chairs that you may take next to the river for a relaxing afternoon in the shade.

Choose a movie from our large collection of family-friendly DVDs and watch on one of our three flat-screen TVs.  Plug your ipod into the docking station (in great room) and listen to your music in one, some, or all of the rooms.  We also have plenty of books, puzzles, and board games for you to enjoy.  We provide four tennis racquets for your use at the high school courts.  For dining out and shopping, the charming village of Estes Park is less than a mile away.

Your cell phone should work here, but we have a land-line just in case.   We keep our calendar up-to-date, so check (above right) for availability.

  • We loved our stay at Rocky Mountain Tranquility. The first night a whole herd of elk passed a few feet from the back porch. What a surprise! The condo was just a few feet away from the Thompson River. There is a beautiful walk along the river, and places to sit and enjoy the view. The condo is beautiful, with large flat-screen TVs, games for kids and adults, and plenty of DVDs to enjoy if the weather keeps you inside. I would definitely recommend Rocky Mountain Tranquility, and we hope to come back for another visit.

  • We enjoyed this townhome for a girlfriend getaway week. It was the perfect place for us to relax, visit, and use as our home base for a week of exploring Rocky Mtn Natl Park. It was conveniently located, with easy access to Rocky Mtn Natl Park and to downtown Estes Park. The house is beautifully decorated and furnished, very clean and comfortable, and very well organized. We had everything we needed. Plenty of bedrooms and baths, a great kitchen and a very nice living/dining room. The kitchen was very well equipped, the beds were comfortable, and the towels and bed linens were luxurious. We loved the view of the mountains in the front and the pines and the river in the back. We grilled out on the deck on our last evening there and were treated to the sight of a deer with two fawns in the yard. We'd all love to come back again. This was the best vacation rental home ever!

  • We had the perfect CO vacation. We could not have asked for anything more from Tranquility. It was spacious, VERY CLEAN and nicely decorated. We didn't have to go anywhere else to fish as the river was in our backyard and, yes, we caught some fish. We also saw elk in the backyard, too. Tranquility is very close to Rocky Mountain National Park so we didn't have to drive far to get to the mountain to hike. (Alberta Falls is an easy hike and a must see.) It was also close to "downtown" Estes. The 6 of us had plenty of room. There were also plenty of games and dvds. We really loved our stay and plan to stay there again when we return.

I was pleasantly surprised to find many staples in the kitchen for our use, i.e. baggies, foil, spices, desk items, laundry soap, etc. etc. We have stayed in other condos and none have ever been this well equipped!   • This home was just fantastic. The furnishings, the lay out, the location between downtown and RM Natl Park, none of it could not have been better. The flat screen TVs, the movie and book selections, the kitchen appliances, the pots/pans, etc. and the bedrooms could not have been more useful, enjoyable or accomodating. The river in the backyard, the trail and the morning elk visits were all an added benefit. A cup of morning coffee on the deck has never been better. Our sincere thanks for opening your gorgeous and comfortable home to us. We can't wait to book our return visits, as it will no longer be a mystery as to where to stay.

  • I can't say enough about this gorgeous home. It had been a rough year for our family, and we wanted some quality time with our children and grandchildren. We couldn't have chosen a better place. Everything was perfect. There was nothing we wanted that wasn't provided. Your home was spotless,quite tastefully decorated, and very warm and inviting. Our grandchildren were thrilled with the books, games, Big Thompson River, and the elk in the back yard. They loved having their own loft where they could enjoy themselves without disturbing the adult relaxation and conversation below. The entire layout easily accomodated our family without anyone feeling cramped or confined. The written instructions with all the electronic equipment, appliances, etc. made it easy to enjoy the amenities with no hassle. The location was perfect to enjoy the elk in Rocky Mountain Nat'l Park, the restaurants and shops in Estes, and relax on the deck or walk along the river. A great time was had by all, and the grandkids are asking when we can do that again. Thanks for opening your home to our family.

  • There were many suprise's with this home. There was just everything you would want or need for a comfortable vacation home. Starting with comfortable beds, beautiful TV's, DVD's, surrond sound throughout the home, BBQ gas grill on the deck, just the best appointed VRBO home we have ever stayed in. After climbing and or shopping it was wonderful to slide open the bedroom window and let the river gently put you to sleep. Then waking up to have coffee on the back deck with Elk visiting in the back yard. Truly a great experience with Estes Park and this beautiful home and location. Bill & Patty

  • This has been one of the most beautiful vacation rentals that we have been too! It is located in a perfect area! Very enjoyable to sit out on the deck and listen to the flowing river, or even crack the windows at night and let the sound of the river take you right to sleep. The location is ideal. Just a short drive to the National Park, where we saw many animals: black bear, moose, elk, badger, coyotes. This home had everything needed including a large DVD collection and toys for my 16 month to play with. Our family truely had a relaxing vacation staying here.
