Back of townhome - Estes Park Mountain Townhome Retreat Along the Big Thompson River, a mile to Rocky Mountain National Park, Ideal for Watching Wildlife and Sightseeing. Experience tranquility at our mountain retreat along the Big Thompson River, only a mile from Rocky Mountain National Park. Our 1790 ft2 townhome is only six years old and most of the furniture is new. The home has a dramatic two-story layout with light-filled rooms and hardwood floors on the main level. Enjoy our open floor plan with master bedroom suite (king-sized bed) on the main level. The fully-equipped kitchen is open to the great room and features granite countertops with a breakfast bar. Our dining table seats eight comfortably. The sun-filled great room has leather couch and chairs, a flat-screen TV and DVD player, vaulted ceilings and a river rock gas fireplace. Upstairs are two more bedrooms, a full bath, and a cozy loft. One bedroom has a queen-sized bed, the other has two extra-long twins which can be combined to form a king-sized bed. The loft also has a queen sofa-bed, another TV and DVD player, and a large table for games, puzzles, or laptop use (with wireless high-speed internet). All bed matresses and bed linens are new. Enjoy beautiful views from every room. Air conditioning and ceiling fans make hot summer days very comfortable. Pine trees line the river outside our back door. Deer and elk are frequent visitors. The sunny deck is great for outdoor dining, watching wildlife, or just relaxing to the sounds of the river and the whispering pines. Deck furniture and gas grill are included. Our neighborhood provides benches and a picnic table along the river for your use. In addition, we have lightweight folding lawn chairs that you may take next to the river for a relaxing afternoon in the shade. Choose a movie from our collection of family-friendly DVDs and watch on one of our three flat-screen TVs. Plug your ipod into the docking station (in great room) and listen to your music in one, some, or all of the rooms. We also have books, puzzles, and board games for you to enjoy. For dining out and shopping, the charming village of Estes Park is less than a mile away. Your cell phone should work here, but we have a land-line just in case. We keep our calendar up-to-date, so check (below) for availability. If you are planning a reunion or have too large a group, we can help you find additional VRBO townhomes in our neighborhood. We require a five-night minimum stay during the summer months, but we do have a 4-night (Sat.-Wed.) stay available Aug. 16-20.
