The Unique Benefits at this House
From early spring through late autumn, we enjoy living outside on our terrace with views over the beautiful Provencal countryside. We breakfast in the early morning sunshine, lunch in the cool covered terrace area next to the pool and enjoy dinner in the pool house overlooking the valley while watching the sun set.
We love the convenience of being situated in the lovely village of Ansouis within a short walk to the bakery, local tabac (newspaper & magazine store)and a first class restaurant while enjoying the complete privacy and "tucked away" feeling of our home perched over the valley.
It is indeed a piece of paradise for us.
Owner's Map of Ansouis
My husband and I have been visiting the Provence and particularly the Luberon area for over 15 years. In 2004, we were fortunate to be able to purchase the beautiful home of our dear friends in Ansouis who were preparing to retire to Paris! We are in love with Provence, in love with Ansouis and in love with our home. In more than 15 years we have yet to exhaust all the beauties and riches of the area. We enjoy sharing our home with those who are discovering the Provence for the first time or returning again to this magical spot. Many of those who rent our home return again!

What an incredible place! I felt as though we walked through a time machine when entering the gates of Les Arches. The property was percfect in every way. Lovely furnishings, fantastic views, and absolutely immaculate. The owners could not have been more helpful with their suggestions. We visited many hilltop villiages, Roman ruins, and wonderful vineyards. The local produce was unbelievable. I can't wait to return to Ansouis. I highly recommend this as a vaction of a lifetime!

We were fortunate enough to stay in this amazing property for a week in May, 2010. It is a magical house, beautifully furnished, and comfortable, with a terrace and pool that are beyond belief. Each bedroom has its own special charm. The library was a cozy place to enjoy a fire and a glass of wine. The arches are spectacular--beautiful and ancient-feeling at the same time. The kitchen had everything we needed, and was a lovely space to prepare meals with the delicious local produce we found during the day in the area's wonderful markets. We dream of returning!

We spent a lot of our stay in the cool shade of the terrace arches by the pool, relaxing, delighting in our meals, and taking in the spectacular views of the valley below us. The house had a distinct provençal appeal with quiet elegance.
