River Rapids is a wonderful cabin on the Coosawattee River in the North Georgia Mountains. Come and let the sound of the river wash your cares away. The comfortable cabin is located in a gated community with many amenities including 2 outdoor pools, 1 indoor pool, a game room, shuffle board court, tennis court, and basketball courts.
There are many places for hikes near the cabin and wildlife abounds! Also, there are parks inside the community for picnicking and easy river access for tubing and fishing or you can walk down to the river behind the house. On the main level there is a large screened in porch with comfortable chairs for relaxing and listening to the river. There is also a large HOT TUB on the porch for your enjoyment. The screened in porch leads to an open deck for grilling and eating under the stars. Upstairs off of one of the bedrooms there is a small, private balcony where you can absorb the amazing, natural views.
The cabin is close to Carter's Lake which offers many recreational options and is also near a riding stable. The town of Ellijay offers shopping and restaurants, so there will be plenty to do while you are here. If you prefer to rest and relax, we have left books, games and movies for your pleasure.
The entire cabin is well furnished and ready for your stay. The master is located on the main level with a full bathroom. There is a sliding glass door from the master bedroom to the screened in porch. You can keep it open at night and the sounds of the river will lull you to sleep. Upstairs there is a large loft, two additional bedrooms (one with a private balcony) and another full bathroom. |
